  1. @Ookla the Maybe-Existent The guards hurry back looking panicked as they realized they left their lord alone surrounded by undercity peasants. They shove through the crowd and surround you as the captain says, "My lord why have you not taken cover? Quick get in the carriage we'll have us moving back to more...reputable parts of the city soon." he turns away to yell at the carriage driver who was trying desperately to put the wheel back on and calm the horses. The soldiers regard the crowd warily never looking at you more than twice. One motions for you to get in the carriage as the wheel finally goes back on. If you get in the carriage rolls away swiftly guards jogging on either side and the captain inside the carriage.

@xinoehp512 The noble follows you as far as the nearest alleyway then stops looking back at were the guards are shoving their way back. "Maybe I should go join my...." his voice trails off as he looks at you closely for the first time and his jaw drops as he prepares to cry out. The alleyway is deserted and you are mostly out of site from the main street.

  2. @xinoehp512 The noble scrambles away toward you following you away from the commotion. Already the crowd was starting to thin as people hurried on. In the undercity no one paused to question screams and disturbances. They simply moved on their way and hoped they weren't also targeted. The guards were still moving through the crowd but they were looking uncomfortable as no screamer was any were to be found and they were subjected to glares and rude words.

Well, for one thing, I think it's just a pretty word. But more importantly, even when I'm at home, I usually feel homesick, and I have no idea for where. (Maybe I belong on Detrius instead of Earth). And that's pretty much what 'hiraeth' means.

That's interesting. Words that capture more meaning in fewer words really show how inefficient the English language is.

I'm a bit late to this forum, but I would choose callsign: Hiraeth. It's a Welsh word that doesn't really translate into English, but from what I've read, it pretty much means an intense longing for home, even if that home never truly existed.

I think this is a cool callsign. Just out of curiosity why would you pick this callsign?

  6. @Ookla the Maybe-Existent As you push through the crowd you see your target up ahead. The noble was standing and swearing at the workers who were trying to put the broken wheel back on his carriage. The carriage the rebellion had rigged to break. Your mission is to take out the noble and impersonate him with a lightweaving long enough to get him back in rebellin custody. @xinoehp512 your job is to forcefully take the noble to a safehouse while @Ookla the Maybe-Existent pretends to be him so no one searches until it's to late.

He leads you down to the bar were you can catch up and share a few drinks.

Let's take a break on this so that some other people can play

Coda thought. The job itself sounded slightly sketchy, especially the danger part, but the base of operations... This could be a chance to finally start that empire he'd always wanted. "I do think 400 gold sounds a lot nicer than 300 gold," he said.

Corvus throws up his hands. "Why does everybody assume this rebellion has a ton of money? I'll see what I can do but you might have to end up stealing some of that money." He stands and looks outside where the sun was beginning to set. "Let's head to the safe house, if you're in Coda."

"Ha! You think you would win? We both know i've always been better in combat," I say playfully.

"Whatever doesn't matter how good you are in combat if I can fly loops around you. It' been too long, lets go and catch up, I know a good bar..." he says temptingly pointing down the street and lifting an eyebrow.

"Good, I don't need to kill you. You have not convinced of the flaws of this law but I still respect you."

Turn shardblade back to spren form.

Jarson relaxes looking relieved. "Thanks because I wouldn't have really just let you kill me but I don't want to kill you either. We all know who would actually win in that fight."

  10. 1 minute ago, Coda said:

Coda smiled and pretended that those words didn't bother him. "You haven't finished because I wasn't there." He pulled up a chair and sat down. "Now, what were the terms? I believe someone mentioned 400 gold."

Corvus (who's the leader of the rebellion and the man who invited you to this meeting) laughs and turns to the other three people. "I'm sorry but we'll have to wait while I explain the terms to our friend here. He will also be working with you." Corvus pulls out a chair and sits facing you. "So yes the amount is actually 300 gold. One of our friends is a hard bargainer. But basically you enlist with the rebellion and operate on potentially dangerous jobs for us and we pay you and give you a base of operations."

  11. @Feruchemical Skybreaker The skybreaker hesitates as you call his bluff. "Please I really don't want to hurt you. Come on (insert your character's name) we trained and swore our first Ideal together. Can't you see that this law is corrupt. Nale would want us to make a new just law and see that upheld." he dismisses his shardblade and spreads his arms open. "Go ahead and kill me. Prove your law is wrong. Because we are supposed to be just Radiants and this isn't just. This is wrong."

    All right @Coda

You stumble into the shop right as a back door opens and four men begin to walk up. One of the men you recognize as his face lights up. "I was beginning to think you'de gotten lost for good this time. we just finished up!"

  13. 1 minute ago, Feruchemical Skybreaker said:

"If you are implying that I 'sold my soul' then you are very much incorrect. besides just because there are... corrupt figures in the government doesn't mean that the law itself is flawed."

    I walk away.

Jarson shoots past you on a lashing and lands in front of you summoning his spren in shardblade form. "The law allows the government to do this which makes it corrupt as well. We are the enforcers not just of the city law but of the cosmere law. This breaks it. Now I've made my choice with those who want to change it and you stand in our way. Now you can choose the law or I'll be forced to remove you." he levels his shardblade at you eyes hard.

    uh....

    not really...

Sanderson Elimination is a very specific type of roleplay.

So yes, if you want to do a mafia game, good! But i really don't think that's what this is.

No this is a standard cosmere role play

Sorry to word it like this but could you not post on the thread as it can confuse with the role playing and dialogue. Sorry to be that guy.

  15. @ChickenLiberty @GoWibble All of those maths are beyond me so just follow the book standard and agree with how to work your compounding and storing.

When and where do I start?

"If you please you can come with me to my safe house and rest there tonight for it is approaching evening. Then I will have your first job in the morning." Corvus then turned to Zaire. "300 for the first job and if your talents live up to your fame I'll raise it to 400. This is the last offer."

@Feruchemical Skybreaker "Haven't you seen the things they do?" said the skybreaker who you remember is named Jarson. "The government takes food and living space, kills those who try to advance in life, blackmails all the inversture users into their services. All the ones that don't straight sell their soul that is." he looks at you meaningfully.

  16. 1 hour ago, Karger said:

What other resources will you provide?  Information?  Specialists?  Security?

"Well the thing is..." Corvus appears slightly uncomfortable. "I was hoping you three would be our specialist. We have little experience in this so far as the rebellion has for the most part been insignificant. Information we can provide how much depending on the mission. Security? If you mean a secure hideout to operate from then yes we can provide that. Your asking a lot of specifics can you not trust our operation to give you what you need?"

  17. 1 hour ago, Karger said:

How much will you pay us?

"300 gold pieces each for each big job you do at my discretion of the job. i assure you this is as much as we can do for we have limited funds. Hopefully some of the jobs will get more funds to buy your services."
