  1. The emoticon button shows for me I just tested it, and im pretty sure its because phone screens arent that big, so some of the buttons(including the emoticon button)wont show up because there isnt enough room to display them. What you have to do is zoom out on the page to see more buttons. You have to use the actual zoom button/setting on your browser and zoom out to like 50-75% and then refresh the page. More buttons show up after that heres what it looks like on my iphone
  2. @Treamayne I just checked, i did get your PM, i just hopped on though and clicked on the first notification it gave me, which was your response here. It does make more sense though after reading it lol, so thank you:)
  3. Ok, so using Anti-Investititure kills cognitive Shadows... isnt that what i said in my first comment? I still dont get what your trying to prove to me.
  4. From what i can tell, there there was only 526 of these printed... ever. 26 of those 526 were special learherbound version and 500 were the one you have pictured. They will definitely be hard to find. My best advice is to just keep searching on Ebay and other similar auction sites. You probaly wont find one right away, but someone will want to sell theirs eventually
  5. I think, It really depends on the circumstance. Was he just killed regularly? If he just got stabbed and his body died a regular death again, i believe he should just reappear in the Cognitve Realm again, still a Shadow, just without a body again. Or maybe he would need an infusion of Investiture after dying to sustain the Shadow Or was he stabbed with an Anti-Investiture knife/weapon? If so, hed probably go to the beyond instantly(do beings killed with Nighblood/Anti-Investiture move on? Or just dissapear?) Any number of things could happen really. Hope that helps!
  6. Brandon usually describes dying in the Cosmere as a 2 step process. 2 deaths. Shadows happen after the first death and before the second(moving to the Beyond) I believe Leras had already kinda gone through the first step/"death" by sacrificing his mind to imprison Ruin/Ati so by the time wee see him, he is already effectively a Shadow. When he dies in Secret History he just moves on to the Beyond, finishing that 2-step process of dying.
  7. Now you have me imagining tiny baby seons XD
  8. The lichen doesnt have to feed on Investiture. It could just be normal lichen. i could be totally wrong but I think the mist isnt just Investiture...i mean, it is... but i think it also has at least has some of the same "properties" of a regular mist. There is a WoB(i cant find now) and someone asked what happens to the Mist during the day, and Brandon said that the power itself is still there in the day but the mist is burned away by the sun. Which to me implies that the mist isnt just Investiture. It wouldnt get "burned" away by the sun(imo)
  9. That's a good theory, and might be the case, but I think its more likely just Connection shenanegins. There is some Connection between Shallan and Shallash(even a small one) and Shallan is just able to pick up on and draw it due to being Invested how she is(being a lightweaver.) There is something kinda similar in a scene also in WoR, i believe, where Syl is with Kaladain on the Shattered Plains and Syl turns into a mini version of Shallan with her chest just after she washes up on the beach after the whole boat assasination thing. Kal and Syl hadnt met Shallan yet but they had a Connection forming. edit: Here is the WoB about Syl turning into Shallan. I think it applies to the Shallan/Shalash situation pretty well.
  10. Was that stated? I took that whole thing as his next bondsmith oath being in the Way of Kings Edit: they hadnt even started bonding yet right? So i guess it couldnt have been a Radiant Oath
  11. What are you talking about? Did brandon do some secret reading of the prologue or something?
  12. yeah, there should be. Brandon said that if he ever gets time to write The Silence Divine(Ashyn novella) that it would take place at about the same time as Stormlight book 8. that's always subject to change though as it hasn't been written yet https://wob.coppermind.net/events/370/#e11901
  13. Brandon has stated that he would personally place Feruchemy more with Preservation and that it is mostly in-world cultural belief that it comes from both Shards. Also that Feruchemy originally did come from Preservation. the "Ruin" in Feruchemy could just also be metal degradation. just like anything else, metal degrades, and with it, whatever is stored should also degrade ever so slightly with it. it really is slight, but as Brandon said, he would place Feruchemy more with Preservation Brandon's explanation for Allomancy being Preservation, is that the Allomancer gets to preserve their own strength by relying on the power provided by Preservation Feruchemy coming from Preservation: Feruchemy leaning more towards Preservation: Allomancy preserving strength: Hope this helps!!!
  14. where was that stated?
  15. Hoid also seems to state that he was older than, or at least alive at the same time as, the mysterious Yolish Gods that died
  16. The Yolish gods are one of the things that captivate me most about the Cosmere. From the bits of Dragonsteel prime i could find, im pretty sure the "gods" of that version were just the demigod vessels(as brandon originally planned the vessel as such) that had faded into myth after... stepping out of the light and away from mankind, and something they did thousands of years prior created Fain. this is all highly controversial and just my opinion though. who knows what they could be now. that one paragraph has been on my mind all day. I imagine the sleepless would know about them. theyre certainly aware enough
  17. Thats what i was assuming. Figured he probably didn't see himself having the time to write that book any time soon and so introduced us to them where he could? even just in tidbit form if we dont actually learn all that much about them now, it could still be good to formally introduce them in the Dust Brigade(novel) i mean, the novel will have happened thousands of years prior to this story, so who knows who much they couldve changed from what we do get shown
  18. Thats a good guess. I do remember on one of the old timewasters guide forums, someone who had read Dragonsteel prime said that one of the Dawnshards would be conductive to space travel so maybe it is a Dawnshard ability. That's all they ever said but ive been sitting on that one little bit
  19. it definitely is a lot yeah, but maybe not as much Investiture being thrown around as otherwise would be. the planet must be incredibly small from how it was described. Has me thinking of this one episode of Rick & Morty
  20. Brandon had stated that the reason that he has wanted to write The Dust Brigade(Threnody Novel) is because there is a "group" that would be important later in the Cosmere, and he wanted to get the book out so we knew who they were. Night Brigade is rather similar to Dust Brigade and with all these Threnody connections being thrown in, is it to much of a strech to assume that the Dust Brigade and the Night Brigade are the same? Maybe Brandon didnt see himself getting to write that book anytime soon and so introduced us to the group where he could
  21. oh man, i love endings like that. They just make you feel so much more(imo) Passion. as you said
  22. yeah, im expecting a rather not... happy ending... for book 5. its gonna make it all the better though, bittersweet or just straight sad endings are my favorite
  23. god that book is going to be the most storming action packed 10 days yet
  24. Brandon said that Stormlight 5 is supposed to make use understand "what caused this whole thing to happen" If Stormlight 5 is supposed to make is understand how Sigzil got to where he is. Isn't that kind of telling us that Sig will become a Dawnshard in book 5?
