Exodus gaped in amazement, but there was no time for shock. He knelt down and glanced off in the distance. His demon had arrived. "One second," he growled to Traige, and he was hit with the full force of an orange light slamming straight into his chest. His eyes turned a light shade of orange, and he placed a hand on the man who had collapsed—phasing from another Realm, maybe?—then imparted some healing life force into him.

Cavalier found he could not go to sleep. Not that he was incapable of it, but the responsibility that he had gained in such a short time pressed down on him. Nothing had come good when he was in charge... Cavalier opened his eyes. Best not to dwell on those memories. He got up, stretched, and walked around. He turned his head to the sky, among the stars, and spotted the Falling Dragon constellation. Fitting that it would show this night.

Today we gather together solemnly to remember Saint Valentine (whichever one, take your pick) who restored sight to his jailer's daughter and was imprisoned and murdered by the Roman Empire. Then, of course, the 19th century folks who made up a legend that he married people in prison, but there was never any proof of that.
Have a wonderful celebration of this Feast of Saint Valentine.
Also, if someone could explain to me what all these hearts, candies, and lack of "Saint," please do explain. It's curious.

Exodus rolled off the dragon and plummeted off the edge of the tower, slowing his fall right before he landed. He stood beside Shadow, who seemed about to finish the dragon off. To kill a dragon was murderous. "You intend to kill the dragon?" Exodus called.

Exodus leaped into the air and flew onto the dragon's back, gripping on tightly. He thrust out a hand and a burst of ice shot therewith, freezing the dragon's head.

"Need help?" Exodus grunted as he waved his sheathed sword above his head to draw the attention of the dragon.
