  1. *Wakes up after getting slapped* *Goes back to sleep* Mwahahaha! None shall interfere with my nap!
  2. “I didn’t mean to help him,” Ana sulked. Her legs felt thin as she tried to keep pace with him. At any moment, they would fold like sheets of paper and she’d collapse. The smell of fish was stronger now, and she wanted to run up to the stall, pluck a whole fish off the grill and stuff it into her mouth. It would be hot and juicy and tender and sweet... She reached the old man, who didn’t look up from his fish, and waited for someone to say something.
  3. “Nuh-uh,” the Nightwatcher says. “I can’t give you something you already have. I’m sure heaps of people like you, and you just don’t know it.” She smiles at you and waves her hand. Suddenly, an adorable puppy/kitten (whichever is your preference) appears in your arms. “This is your boon,” she says. The puppy/kitten wriggles around, trying to jump onto the ground, but it can’t. “And this is your bane. It’s stuck to you forever.” I wish for a basket of fruit. Sentient fruit.
  4. *Opens one eye* *Sees everyone fighting* *Rolls over and keeps sleeping*
  5. Ana’s face turned hot when the vendor laughed at her. How dare he! She... she was dangerous! She bit her lip, trying to hide her indignation as Aoryen started talking. Wait... he wanted to gamble for food? Ana’s eyes widened as she turned her head in the direction of the old man. Of course. Why hadn’t she realised that? And it was her fault they hadn’t been able to. “I’m sorry,” she said, looking down in shame, ready to follow Aoryen to the fisherman. A grim smile placed itself on her lips as she realised she was getting the fish she wanted after all. If she didn’t make a mess of it this time too.
  6. But can I be assigned to the bridge crews right before Dalinar frees all of the bridgemen? If so, I’ll take that. Would you rather go on a cruise ship but all the other passengers are easily-offended inquisitors who will attack you if you slightly annoy them, or be locked in a room with Moash and be forced to make polite small talk over a cup of tea for all of eternity? Neither he or you can die, and neither of you can leave the room. (Side note: I don’t actually hate Moash he just seems to be the most disliked character by the community. If you like Moash replace him with your least favorite cosmere character)
  7. I remember I was reading an online writing guide and the writer of said guide mentioned this guy named Sanderson quite a bit. I also followed their book reviews, and after a glowing review of The Rithmatist and a positive review of The Final Empire I decided to give Brandon a try. Sadly, there were no copies of Mistborn in the book store that day, so I settled for The Way of Kings, and now I’m here .
  8. Granted, but it isn’t valid in the country you live. I wish for a nice cup of tea and a warm blanket.
  9. Ah, one thing I forgot to add in my original post: More exploration of Adolin and Renarin’s relationship. They’re brothers but I feel like in the earlier books we haven’t really seen them meaningfully interact much. And I want to see more about Jasnah and Renarin’s relationship, especially after Oathbringer’s climax. And Adolin and Jasnah, and how the Kholins react to Elhokar’s death. Except since we have a timeskip, but the time we reunite with these characters they’ve probably already accepted it and moved on. This is more of a personal thing, but I feel that Oathbringer was more focused on plot instead of character interaction, which as a reader left me a bit unsatisfied, so I’m hoping Stormlight 4 delivers on that part.
  10. Hmmmm... things I don’t want to see. Shallan turns into a stack of pancakes and the team has to try and turn her back before Lift tries to eat her. Ok, serious answers. Adolin becoming an edgedancer. I’m all in favor of him resurrecting Maya, but I really want him to stay as a normal person. I think that in between all of the crazily-powerful radiants we need just one non-magical person perspective. Aaaaaand that’s all I can think of right now. I try not to think too much about what’s going to happen, because I’ve had experiences in the past where I’ve not enjoyed a perfectly good story because I initially expected something different.
  11. Food fight! *Reaches into a crate of tomatoes and starts throwing them around*
  12. Well, I’m up to chapter four of Radiant Historia and there’s a giant spider. It seems that in every game I play there’s a giant spider boss at one point or another, which really sucks because I have a fear of spiders.
  13. I third this. I think what really sets Xenoblade’s soundtrack apart for me is that along with the driving battle themes that hype me up, the emotional pieces really deliver as well. When I first started up the Xenoblade 1, I just sat and listened to the main theme watching as the title screen went by. And then there are the area themes, which manage to capture the feel of each location so well (looking at you, Satorl Marsh). ...and there I go again, gushing about Xenoblade. I’ll stop myself now before this post becomes huge.
  14. What are you talking about you can clearly see I'm sipping tea in my profile pic.
  15. Hello person visiting my profile!

I don't know if anyone reads these, but I'll leave this here.

I'm going to be a bit inactive for the next couple of weeks (though I mostly lurk anyway so it's not really that much of a problem?). I'll still be around, but I probably won't log on every day.

So it'll be like my usual lurking levels x2 :D.

Oh, forgot to mention, sorry if this slows down any RPs I'm in (particularly Take a Deep Breath). I'll try as hard as I can to keep going, but I don't know how often I'm going to be able to post.

    2. Honorless

      Honorless

Hello! We all need to catch a break sometimes and there ain't nothing wrong with lurking!

  16. Welcome to the shard! Who's your favorite Sanderson character? Another Zelda and Miyazaki fan! And Smash by the looks of your thread title. What's your favorite Zelda game?
  17. Tamaron. She turned the name over in her head, but came up with nothing. Back when... before this, her uncle had introduced many merchants to her father that he met on his travels. She was hoping that she would've known the merchant this vendor used. "Tamaron," she echoed out loud. "My uncle knows him. He said that, well, he," She stopped, trying to dislodge the words. Why? Why now? The silence grew long. Ana's face reddened. Finally, she found the words. "He charges a lot - lots of money. Too much. You should go to Azai. She'll give you the - cheap prices." She looked the vendor dead in the eyes, but she just wanted to crawl back into her cupboard and hide. Why can't Aoryen just pay?
  18. He dumped the GVPF into the spa, and the spa exploded.
