So, ah... I've actually been here for a little while. I've never even bothered to look at this forum, preferring to stick to other places (my fav. being the forum games). Nonetheless, I decided I might as well let people know who I am. That being the case: Hello! M'names Channelknight. Fadran's just an alibi, as writing under my actual name or in first person makes me uncomfortable. I can write in first person if people don't know what my actual name is, though; hence the username. I've read every cosmere book there is (I think), except for Warbreaker, which I'll get around to eventually. I've also read the Skyward series to where its at, the Reckoners, and the kind of elusive Rithmatist. I've heard that there're other books by Brandon, but I think I'll settle for torturing myself out of impatience for the next Stormlight work. In the meanwhile, I like writing fantasy books, ranging from a sort-of-award-winning "The Stellamancer" (it got honorary mention in Scholastic Arts and Writing Comp. Dunno if that counts) to this horrid thing called "Spelltaken" back from 2015 (don't go looking for it. Even if I could get it published I could get sued form at least seven people). Some people have lifelong dreams to do something or other. Me? I've only wanted to be an author for about a year or so. Since then, I've hammered through fourteen failed editions of what has come to be known as the "Iconar Collective," from which my idea of the Channelknights originate. Look for me anywhere that calls for writing, because if I know about it, then I'm there (Writing Prompts and Responses are one of these). That being said... Hello from Fadran. And Welcome to the Cosmere.

Two in one here, both via the use of an "allomantic grenade" stored with duralumin allomancy. The first one requires the use of the grenade (used by anyone) and a mistborn (or a person who can burn both duralumin & another metal, possibly via hemalurgy). First, the mistborn burns duralumin. Second, the person hurls the allomantic grenade. Third, the moment the grenade detonates, the person also burns the other metal. Did they just duralumin their duralumin? Double-duralumin their other metal? What would that even do? In retrospect I realize you didn't need a grenade just a Nicrosil burner. Silly me. The second one could also be via nicrosil misting, but I think a grenade would be cooler. Picture yourself as a steel misting, just hopping along on boxings, when suddenly you're soaring thousands of feet into the air, and you realize that you've run out of metals! With a well-timed duralumin touch/grenade, anyone could launch a steelrunner skyhigh, without any means of breaking their fall. This makes me want a special Pokemon episode where team rocket members become mistborns and somone does this to them, so that way they can go "blasting off again... ping"

I wonder what would happen if you burned duralumin with those flakes...?

The Radiant takes advantage of Sloth's situation, and attacks the Feruchemist! Using some classy lashing moves, they launch a barrage of rocks at the Feruchemist.

Anyone else see the mistborn aesthetic, or is it just me? The curve and the spikes/spears through it remind me of an upside-down version of Brass.

What's the coolest trick you could use as a mistborn? A twinborn? How about with another metalborn friend helping you out? List the coolest stuff you could possibly do with your powers! Here's mine: A few crashers (Steelpushing & Weight storing) stand on the ground with a lot of steel and stored up weight, as well as a bag of coins. Their perfectly normal non-metalborn friend needs to get from one ledge to the other, and stands just above the first crasher in line. When the normal person jumps off the ledge, the steelpusher throws a coin upwards, Pushing on it and increasing their weight. The person lands on this coin, jumping off of it and to the next coin, thrown by the next crasher in line. The person continues running across this makeshift bridge of coins until they reach the other side. Difficulty: 10/10 Effectiveness: 1/10 Aesthetic: 11/10

I can only imagine that the bucket and pitchfork are both made of obsidian, and I have to wonder whether his overalls are lined with aluminum...

I enjoy all three of your quotes! One's rather inspirational, and the other two are just plain awesome. 7.522/10 -
Hey everyone doing this I just realized that I haven't explained what the Twinborn can do. My apologies. I'm changing it slightly and now it's just a full feruchemist.

So I was going through this forum and instantly ran out of stuff to do. As you can imagine, I was a little ticked off, so I decided to make a thing. Hopefully it doesn't go to crap in an instant. It's like a lot of those stories; the one's where someone posts a sentence, and then the next person posts the next sentence, and so on. Everyone's played it before. "The Longest Thread (Misadventures)" is probably the best example of this. I decided to go a little niche, however, and we're confined to two main characters as of right now. These two characters-- the Knight Radiant and the Mistborn-- are dueling each other for the sixteen shards they've managed to capture and enslave. Our job is to narrate what tactics and attacks they use against the other. Here're the rules: 1. You must remain within the general rules of the Sanderson's series's. The Mistborn can run out of metals, the Radiant can run out of stormlight, and neither of them can summon black holes by snapping the spirit web and burn out the cosmere. Y'know, basic stuff like that. 2. You can only narrate one character at a time. When you narrate that character, you can give them 1 action and 1 bit of dialogue. For example: "The Mistborn burns tin. 'Prepare to die, Radiant!'" If the Mistborn burns atium, though, then the next person to post something must say what the Mistborn sees. 3. No killing the Radiant or the Mistborn! If someone breaks this rule and kills one off, then do yourself a solid and bring them back to life with a free action. 4. If you want to have another character from another series join the fray (they have to be from the cosmere, and can't be any character in particular; just an embodiment of the magic system, like a ReForger, but not Shai), then notify me. 5. We're assuming the Mistborn begins with all their metals, and the Radiant can do basically any surge and is full on stormlight. 6. Ping me if you have any questions or would like to suggest a rule change. I'll start, breaking my own rules and narrating them both: The Mistborn burns tin. "Prepare to die, Radiant." The Radiant casts a half lashing and levitates. "The only one dying here is you."

The Last Post Wins!!!!!
Channelknight Fadran replied to Vargo Seldon's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Alright, here's a problem: A guy named Channelknight Fadran makes a post on a forum, expecting to receive some likes. His reputation-to-post ratio is 0.5. If this is his 35th post, and he has 17 reputation, how many repuation would he have to get in order to get a 1-1 ratio? Here's a hint: P = (2*R) / 2 -

I'd rate yours an 10/10 just because you captured that sunset so well.
