Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

As if Brandon swearing off writing wasn't a bane enough! Also if people know my bank password, then that means I know my bank password, which I feel like I probably should, but don't. -

Granted. You see that sword right there? It has a bad habit of poisoning your mind. Enjoy your freedom! I wish for Stormlight 4 to be out. -

If we want a hangouts then I'd need some email addresses... Hence the reason why I was more partial to a discord. -

Cosmere Board Games, Anyone?

If anyone's legitimately interested in this then should I make a discord? When I was on the doc with someone it became a little difficult to communicate, so a discord could be pretty helpful. -
Everyone is born with the ability to Skatebind, an ability fueled by drawing shapes on the ground with their skates. Depending on the shape you draw, you will make something magic happen, like skating in a figure-eight will make all the lights in a hundred-foot radius go out, or an octagon making a shower of harmless blue sparks explode out of the nearest dog's left ear. The power of the effect is determined by how well you draw the shape on the ground. Violins

Cosmere Board Games, Anyone?
Channelknight Fadran replied to Channelknight Fadran's topic in Sanderson Fan Works
I am yet to determine any of this! However, I think going one world at a time would be good. How about a Stormlight Archive board game, first? I'm thinking we could make the board be the map of Roshar, and you are given a card that determines to what spren you're bonded to, as well as what Knight Radiant you are. The only question is: Where to we go from there? Here's our Master Doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NiaWtdJGTDebJrFx0a_RTivvr162SjWUaZFfz8NLZyM/edit?usp=sharing -

Its on the southern shores, I believe. There's a shrine quest on the beaches near that one seaside town (don't remember what it's called). -

Mido Swamp and Saria Lake in the Lost Woods... Bridge of Hyrule... Even the rusting Mirror of Twilight! Not to mention the obvious ones: Death Mountain, Zora's Domain, and (of course) Hyrule Castle. There's also Linebeck Island, The Crenel Hills, and Mabe village, which makes me wanna cry but NOT TODAY, TEARS. -
I thought I had taught myself better. I honestly believed that I was done writing dumb wishful fantasies about my favorite characters. Harry Potter killing Voldemort in the most gruesome way my seven-year-old mind could concoct? Those days are behind me. An extended backstory for Breath of the Wild? Begone, thought. One would think that by now I would know better than to write something about the Knights Radiant, Mistborns, Wax n' Wayne duo, ReForgers, Elantrians, and the like teaming up on Odium to defeat him. One would think. And yet, here I am, unable to help myself. So this is probably going to take several posts to make, but that's fine. I've convinced myself that posting irregularly would help ease my conscience. If y'all think this is all just really childish and stupid, then that's fine by me. Heck, I think this is all just really childish and stupid. But I'm doing it anyway. Here it is: “So let me get this straight.” Waxillium said. “This is the Well of Ascension?” It was a little underwhelming. “Well,” he could understand. What he was looking at was probably the most well-like thing he had seen for awhile. “Ascension?” Not so much. “I can understand your confusion.” The man who called himself the Survivor said. Less a man, that was, and more a spirit. He certainly did match the descriptions given in Lestibournes’s texts, however. “Ruin’s power was moved from here, and therefore seems a little lackluster. However, it still works as a Perpendicularity to the Cognitive realm; for up to two people, I believe.” Wayne nudged Wax in the shoulder. “What’s your imaginary friend saying?” Wax turned to the Survivor. “I’m afraid my friend has no direct means of contacting you. What should I tell him…?” “Tell him that you two must take this to the cognitive realm, head to Roshar, and defeat Odium.” Waxillium frowned. “That seems very… specific.” “It is a specific battle that you are fighting now, Waxillium Ladrian.” The Survivor said. “I’m afraid that if Odium retrieves any more Shards that he may become unstoppable.” “I still don’t understand what’s happening.” Wax replied. “There is only so much I can describe.” The Survivor said. “Just head to Roshar. It might already be too late.” Waxillium nodded. “Alright, then.” “Um, excuse me?” Wayne nudged Wax again. “You can’t just make decisions for me, Wax.” “I thought you said you didn’t like making decisions.” “Well, I don’t, but you can’t make my decisions without my knowing about what you’re even deciding me to do!” Wayne pled. “Besides, I need to know what hat to take. Lucky hat or fedora?” “Lucky hat, most definitely.” The Survivor said. Wax frowned. “What…?” “Hats are very helpful. Especially lucky ones.” Wax turned to Wayne. “Well, according the the rusting Survivor himself, you should take your lucky hat.” “Lucky hat it is!” Wayne plopped on the headwear. “When’re we going?” Suddenly, from the caves that Waxillium had entered to get here, a man barreled towards them. “I found it! I found it, I found it, I found it!” “What the—” Wax stuttered. The man shoved Waxillium out of the way as he ran. “Move, fools! Allomancer Jak has come to claim his Birthright!” “Excuse me?” The man shoved Wayne out of the way, as well, who immediately scowled and grabbed for him, stumbling towards the Well as he missed. The man leaped into the Well, thrusting his arms upwards like some kind of priest. The Survivor scowled. “Get that man out of there before the Perpendicularity—” The Well burst alight, and the man fell over into the gaseous pool. Wayne was not over his mistreatment just yet, however, and leapt into the pool of light after him. “Wayne, wait!” Wax yelled, but was too late. The light of the pool began to fade, and with it the hopes of a successful mission. Wax found himself staring into the Well, empty despite the two personages that had been inside it just moments before. “What in the name of the Lord Ruler just happened?” The Survivor demanded. Wax shuddered on the ledge of the Well. “I think… I think that you might be stuck with the wrong allomancer for awhile.” His best friend, Wayne, had just sealed the fate of the Cosmere, by taking Allomancer Jak with him to defeat a god.

Who LOVES The Legend of Zelda!

The Double Clawshot was the coolest single item ever to be introduced to a Zelda game. One would think that being spiderman in a Zelda game would be stupid but nope! Snowpeak was a fave of mine, too, but I have to say that the Arbiter's Grounds are my absolute favorite. First off, it gives us the spinner, a completely useless but also freaking awesome item. Second off, the boss battle at the end was probably the most fun I've done in ages. Not to mention that it started the game off onto a whole new plotline at the end. And also... it's in Breath of the Wild, if you look hard enough. There's a shrine quest at the Arbiter's Grounds in Gerudo Desert if you can find it. Felt good to relive the nostalgia. -
First off, to @Snakenaps; I can get stuff critiqued at Reading/Writing Excuses? Then, to @Dreamer, of course I would go to the Valley. I would ask for total fluency in every musical instrument there is: Piano, guitar, flute, ocarina, marimba, violin, whizzing-stick (kid you not that's an instrument). I just have to wonder what the curse would be...

Lets face it. Setting up a tabletop RPG takes a long time. You need to write out a character, build a campaign, and get people interested. And, if you're playing with new people, you basically have to go through all that twice because you need to explain everything to them first, and then help them out with everything else. Not that I don't love RPG games. They're probably one of my favorite kinds of games in the world. However, it's just so much easier to throw a board on the table, deal out some cards, and get playing; not to mention that you only have to explain everything once before somebody gets it. So is anyone interested on making some Cosmere games? How does a Stormlight Archive board game sound? A Mistborn trading card game? We don't have to stick with the cosmere: we could try and make a battle-royal style Reckoners game, or an X-Wing style Skyward game. I think that the possiblities are endless. So, that being said, who's in?

Link to the Past is the best Zelda game! I wholeheartedly agree. I practically cried during the credits. Either that or Twilight Princess, but I'm biased 'cause that was the first one I played. And no worries! I don't judge (usually) -

I haven't had a chance to play a ton of them, because I don't have all the right systems. I have a Wii and a Switch, and have played Twilight Princess & Breath of the Wild. Or, rather... those are the games I've played on their official systems. I've taken the liberty of downloading some of the pixilated ones on my computer (how legal is this? Dunno). Through emulators I've completed Link to the Past and Minish Cap, and have played TLoZ, The Oracle Games, and Link's Awakening. I am looking forward to playing Skyward Sword (hopefully I can borrow it from my friend), and am considering buying the revamp of Awakening for the Switch. I own the Encyclopedia and the Hyrule Historia, and have spent the better part of a month trying to make a full D&D-style LoZ RPG game. If anyone's interested in assisting me, lemme know and I can make a forum page for it. In the meanwhile, though, you can find me impatiently awaiting BotW 2 whilst playing every theme song from Song of Storms, to Full Steam Ahead, to Sidon's Theme on the piano. -
The Legend of Zelda (all of it), Super Smash Bros (all of it, but mostly BRAWL), Pokemon (my Squirtle be called JELLYBEAN), Minecraft (except mods [shudders]), Super Mario (bros, kart, galaxy, etc), and Portal 2 (my brother was dumb and only bought the sequel). But why am I sticking with video games only? Dungeons and Dragons! There isn't a thing wrong with that franchise. I love board games everywhere, too.

Dang. This guy is newer to this forum than I am and yet he's (she's?) probably been a fan longer than any of us. Nonetheless, welcome!
