  1. "A few hundred volunteers, here in this cave. They're all either unmagical or don't have any significant amount of magic. Pretty much all of them can shoot a gun or stab someone with a sword, and a few can fly spaceships, operate heavy weapons, and do that sort of thing." Fadran gestured around the room. "Here, we have the Fellowship. We've got magic from all over the place; but we're messy, chaotic, and a little weird."
  2. "Unless we can get a lot of recruits, block off some entries, commandeer entire military bases, and stay that way for a long enough time to reestablish local rule."
  3. "The main barriers at the moment are the ones that mean that it gets tougher the farther we get. They'll send thugs for small insurrections, but actual soldiers if things get difficult."
  4. "Try to rest when we get back. I doubt that Verim's abilities are completely foolproof."
  5. "Mostly. I've got a few cuts here and there." Elya put on a smile. It wasn't really a gesture she did often, so she was unfamiliar to it. "You did a good job. Saved me, really."
  6. "Don't overdo it." Elya kept one of Lyanor's arms around her shoulders, just in case. "We're almost back."
  7. "Deep breaths, Lya."
  8. The moment it was over, Elya scooped her up and held on tightly. "Ji, take Verim. We need to go." @Mystic Syn @Fallapede @Szeth_Pancakes @#1 Taln Fan
  9. "There's an awful lot of people out there willing to do really dumb things, so as long as those dumb things are right."
  10. "The same way you back up anything. You split it up, mix it about... what they're basically doing is investing in other universes. They go so far into the long-term that it's almost impossible to deal any real damage. They've managed to close off universes that haven't even formed galaxies yet, just in case they'll need an entire universe full of resources sometime in the next few billion years. There are places they haven't even touched but keep under their control. And then they build foolproof infrastructure, rewrite histories, dispose of opposition... and if all else fails, they also have the largest army of any single organization in the history of everything, as far as we all know."
  11. "Significantly advanced universes are put under more strict levels of control. The ones that are closest to Macrocosmic control themselves are occasionally wiped out. Most are kept under martial law, with local thugs keeping everyone in check." Fadran shrugged. "Honestly, in a lot of places, it isn't even that bad. Some universes aren't advanced at all, so the Clan takes over quietly and waits until they can provide anything decent. Most don't know that they've been conquered until they go industrial and start developing stuff of real value."
  12. "I don't know what a Jenga is, but it hasn't yet because it isn't intensive. Most universes are given a level of autonomy to provide for themselves, but give the Clan tribute in the form of goods, money, and people. And, like I said ealier, this thing has a lot of redundancies. Enough backups to make an engineer drool."
  13. "It just goes about conquering every universe it can find, assimilating the populace into its workforce and army to build up their own wealth and power."
  14. Many faces! Heck yeah! Also I concur on the math thing. I feel like it should get up to Algebra and finish there. Solving for x is really scudding important, but learning about logarithms and the quadratic formula is pretty much pointless. Says me, the guy who just posted a status update with a math joke

Hope you get your account back!

  18. "At the moment, our goals aren't large. Liberating the locals here isn't going to come close to even making a dent in the Empire; but it'd make a massive difference to the lives of everyone who lives here."
  19. "'In command'? Nah." Fadran shook his head. "I'm just the mother duck, or something. People do their own thing; I just tell you not to touch the hot stove or press the big red button. I guess I'm more of a supervisor than anything else?" Technically, yes, he was in charge. They'd decided on that ages ago. It still felt strange, though--and he didn't want to be at all controlling to the other Fellowshippers. Maybe you're just a wuss. Icona said. Fadran rolled his eyes. Oh, okay. I see how it is. Just stand up straighter and make them all salute! You've done it before. Not with... these guys. Those were all regular soldiers, with swords and spears and a very controlled amount of magic. Here we've got gods and demigods and... all sorts of weirdos. Not that there's anything wrong with being a weirdo? Yeah. Well... do what you will, Channelboy. He snorted. You call me that again and I'll start talking about how you need to take responsibility because you're a big boy now. You wouldn't dare.
  20. So if any of you have noticed that I was a lil' less active over the last few days, it's because I got my Covid booster shot.

And it hit me like a freight train.

    Filled with buses.

    Filled with bricks.

    Made of tungsten carbide.

And honestly I was so disoriented and nauseous the entire time that I actually watched Minecraft videos on youtube. SMPsME.

Anyways, I'm back and better than ever now. I'm hopping back into the RPs to murder some Pacis and make a bunch of sarcastic comments about the evil Macrocosmic empire. I should also probably get back to writing my school project... hm.

Well, before I peace out, I think it's worth mentioning that there are a lotta really cool holidays today:

    • National Religious Freedom Day (Hooray for that!)
    • National Book Publishers Day (Nobody tell Daniel Greene)
    • World Snow Day (WHERE IS MY SNOW, WORLD???)
    • National Hot and Spicy Foods Day (Weird that this one coincides with snow)
    • National Fig Newton Day (Does anybody actually like these?)
    • Scudding Appreciate a Dragon Day ( @Tesh )
    • Prohibition Remembrance Day (Just the fact that this exists is hilarious)
    • Aaaaaaaaaand... National Nothing Day.
    Kay love ya bye!

Heck yeah, love Hermitcraft! (season 8, I presume?) - (also, next time you get sick, you should try the third life or last life series, they're much shorter than Hermitcraft but they have a lot of the same people and are really funny :D)
