  1. Well, as Storing Identity "makes you susceptible to all kinds of things in the Cosmere" the extrapolation is that, at the very least, it would make you less susceptible to those same things. That would be very useful already.
  2. Investiture Manifestations involve spiritual, not physical, genetics. So I doubt that physical means can be used for this. But I see how magical means can be used for this. Mainly with access to some other magic systems ...
  3. I would like Compouding to make short-term memories stored in long-term memories.
  4. A-Aluminum will have useful use. Compouding.
  5. "Rescue. Help someone stabbed in the street to wait for an ambulance. Save my relatives who have suffered a heart attack. Prevent a fire from spreading quickly. Arrest hostile people while reinforcements arrive (I confess that this is dangerous, unless you are very well hidden). Reduce need for food, water and oxygen until a rescue arrives. This is the power of the Samaritan. So... If I'm rich, I can skip a few years and see what the next decades or centuries hold. A-Nicrosil and A-Pulser would be very interesting for me. One I can use to get rich, the other to jump a few decades. Investing in fixed income would be useful." I will always be the defender of A-Cadmium as one of the best powers.
  6. Sentry.
  7. Only Cadmium is called useless, and it is poisonous and expensive.
  8. Oathbringer, 44. "When she eventually finished, Kalami reported on her team, who were convinced that certain gold and copper metalworks they’d found embedded in walls were fabrials, but they didn’t seem to do anything, even with gems attached. " Oathbringer, 99. "A line of copper plating ran down the inside wall of the stairwell—and Kaladin had seen a similar ornamentation on the deck. He’d assumed it was decorative, but as the captain walked, he rested his fingers on the metal in an odd way." [...] Have you noticed that? Something about the copper lines set into the deck.” “The copper vibrates,” Shallan said. “And they keep touching it. I think they might be using it to communicate somehow.”
  9. In the Fabrials section of the Ars Arcanum, Khriss mentions Heliodor being used for people, phenomena and objects. The reason for heliodor then must be different from the Essence. Flamesprens are captured by emerald instead of ruby, for example. Maybe even for both. I imagine that this spren x gemstone correlation uses criteria that we don't know anything about yet.
  10. It may be my impression, but this Fabrial is Pushing the heat out the area.
  11. Would you have this quote?
  12. Remembering that Copper blocks Emotional Allomancy and Rhythms. So there's something more here than blocking detection.
  13. The fact that he lives paranoid seems to indicate that he did not accept his injury, for me.
  14. A bronze cage can create a warning fabrial, alerting one to objects or entities nearby.

  16. A-Steel: Speed is very difficult to store, and without Compouding it has more limited utility. And I feel that the improved speed of A-Pewter is enough for me. F-Iron: In addition to the obvious Crasher ability we saw at Waxillium, being able to fall off an airplane without dying seems like a pretty cool power. Ironsight and pulling objects is cool, but I can settle for Steelsight and Pushers. A-Pewter: Strength, Speed, Endurance, Reflexes and Balance. All this without a change in mass, just a magic boost. Sorry, F-Pewter. F-Tin: Like A-Tin but choosing which direction. In addition to reducing their sensitivity to protect themselves from strong stimuli. F-Zinc: Being able to increase my mental speed for emergency situations looks good, mainly because I gave up on F-Steel and I only have physical speed on A-Pewter. A-Brass: Calm the stress, fatigue, anger, and sadness of those close to you. I would be the best manager in the world. A-Copper: Storing long-term memories is good, but being able to use powers unscathed seems better. Resistance to emotional Allomancy is incredible too. F-Bronze: Being able to stay hot or cold when needed is cool. I could travel anywhere in the world and feel comfortable. F-Duralumin, Aluminum, Nicrosil, Chromium - If I want to manipulate Spiritual attributes? Yes, thanks. F-Gold: Really? F-Electrum: Even though I see a lot of hide potential in A-Electrum, being able to manage mental stability so as not to be so affected by depression or mania sounds good. A-Cadmium: I love the potential for Cadmium's speed bubbles. It is like being a natural life saver. A-Bendalloy: Being able to have reserves of nutrition is very good, but acceleration bubble is just incredible. Detail: I considered that I would have 16 different powers chosen between Allomancy and Feruchemy (Hoid helped me to hack the system). If it's just one individual power at a time, I'd trade F-Nicrosil for A-Nicrosil (And it would be totally rich), and A Bronze for F-Bronze (With just one power, why the hell would I want to hear Allomantic pulses? It's a job that kills fast, x9 dies early). Full Feruchemist. Totally better.
  17. Pulser and Sentry.
  18. It wouldn't make sense. For Hoid would have had to give up all his powers to burn Lerasium.
  19. Shardlet If Vin and Elend hypothetically each blindly ingested equivalently sized beads of lerasium, would Vin be a stronger Mistborn than Elend, or would they be equal? Brandon Sanderson Yes, Vin would be stronger. It is additive, not just an overwrite. Firefight Seattle UBooks signing (Jan. 6, 2015)
  20. Well, I theorized based on these vague WoBs, trying not to contradict any of them. And the first one says that Nicrosil does not affect Feruchemial storages. And questions about Chromium and metalminds are RAFO. Except for the specific case about Compouding.
  21. After reading a series of Wob's on Enhancement Metals, I was curious about their role at Feruchemy. Here: zas678 If you burn nicrosil, will it deplete Feruchemial storages? Or just Allomantic? Brandon Sanderson Just Allomantic. /r/Fantasy_Bookclub Alloy of Law Q&A (Jan. 17, 2012) - Kaymyth I asked the question about chromium vs a Compounder with both Invested and un-Invested metals in both their stomach and piercings. Brandon Sanderson What it boils down to is this: 1) Yes, the piercings will get burned off. 2) The non-Invested metals go before the Invested ones. He said that because Invested metals are harder to affect, it takes a little extra time and effort to get them to burn off. So a Leecher trying to clean out a Compounder would have to get a good grip and hang on for a few seconds. 3) Chromium burns about as quickly as duralumin, so if you're trying to burn off a lot of metals, it is possible to run out of chromium before your target is clean. This would probably only be an issue when dealing with larger pieces (like jewelry) rather than your standard metal-flakes-in-the-stomach deal. ConQuest 46 (May 22, 2015) - Questioner Could a Leecher take away stores in a metalmind? Brandon Sanderson You’ll have to find out. That’s a RAFO. Calamity Seattle signing (Feb. 17, 2016) - Questioner What happens if you burn duralumin while Compounding? Brandon Sanderson Duralumin while Compounding. So, what duralumin does is it burns out of all of your metal in one burst. So it doesn't necessarily gain you power, it makes it all happen at the same time. The same thing would happen. Questioner Could you turn into a baby? Brandon Sanderson Oh, you could totally turn into a baby. That is within the power of using that, doing <health wrong>, yeah you could totally... You'd be really dangerous. Questioner But it wouldn't really do much? Brandon Sanderson Oh it would have explosive... it does things really fast. That's what it does. Yes you could achieve very powerful sudden effects through that. It'd be scary. Controlling it can be dangerous, regardless of which metal you use. Arcanum Unbounded Seattle signing (Dec. 1, 2016) - In the first question he answers that Nicrosil does not affect metalminds, which may indicate that the same is true for other metals. But in the second he replies that with Compouding the uninvested metals go before the Invested ones in the case of Chromium, in the third he presents a RAFO, and in the fourth he talks about the effect of Duralumin in the Compouding process. I first wondered if he changed his mind, but then I started a theory. I believe that normal metalminds are not affected by these metals, not even Aluminum, because Feruchemists do not burn metals after all. But, if you are a Double Twinborn (or somehow have the power to burn the same type of metal as the invested metals that is in your body), it becomes possible to affect even metalminds. Basically forcing your body (or someone else's body to do the Compouding process). Then Aluminum would have all of its metalminds burned, Duralumin would use them in a single burst, and its external equivalents would allow it to mess with someone else's Compouding process. What do you think, guys?
  22. That's what I think, too. I am quite curious about Pairing Fabrials. What type of Spren/metal would be used?
  23. Theory: Warning Fabrials are made with Bronze. Attractors with Iron, and its reverse version with Steel. The type of Spren defines what will be detected, pushed or pulled.
  24. Theory: Warning Fabrials are made with Bronze. Attractors with Iron, and its reverse version with Steel
  25. Most likely, it reflects only Alomancy, as it is also positive-final. Only with Stormlight instead of Preservation. Probably fabrials mirroring Feruchemy will only be one thing in Scadrial.
