Nope. I don't wear braces, glasses, or any other form of eyewear. (Except for sunglasses when it's sunny.) TPBM has no idea what the word "defenestrate" means and is too scared to google it.

The problem with making a metalmind into a shard is that they can't hold enough investiture. The bands are most likely completely full metalminds, meaning they are invested to the maximum amount that normal matter can hold. making the bands bigger wouldn't increase their magical density, merely their magical volume. Increasing the size of the bands would be similar to putting a few thousand infused gemstones together and expecting them to magically turn into a shardblade.

hilarious theories about the cosmere.

“Allomancer” Jak is actually a full feruchemist, who covers up the rumors of his feruchemical abilities by telling unbelievable stories about himself.- 17 replies

Let's assassinate a shard of Adonalsium, shall we?

Possibly. We don’t know that fortune gives futuresight, or that it would be powerful enough to do that.- 25 replies

Let's assassinate a shard of Adonalsium, shall we?
NameIess replied to Trusk'our's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Chromium wouldn't hide you from Odium's future sight. Atium or electrum might, but probably only your immediate future, meaning Odium would still see your intent to kill him, and your plan for doing so. Unless you went with duraluminum atium like Elend did, I doubt you could prevent Odium from knowing your plans. I also highly doubt a feruchemist could force Odium to meet with them. A bondsmith probably could, but I doubt even a duraluminum compounder could force a meeting with Odium. They could likely connect themselves to Odium very strongly, but at most that would just give Odium the ability to take you into a vision. So unless Kelsier got himself Ishar's blade and Nightblood, and learned to use both of them, he won't be killing Odium that easily. Even if he did, Odium could probably counteract it somehow.- 25 replies

What is part of your cognitive aspect vs. your spiritual aspect?
NameIess replied to Trusk'our's question in Cosmere Q&A
Your cognitive self contains your memories, mind and perceived self. -
Leechers don't eat souls. They eat the active investiture from people, such as stormlight, metals, or breaths. So they don't touch the spiritual aspect.

Investiture in physical realm vs. spiritual realm
NameIess replied to Trusk'our's question in Cosmere Q&A
Look at the returned, and take out the need to eat a breath every week. Your descendants will be affected, they will look like the royal family, with shapeshifting abilities and increased aptitude for Awakening.- 1 reply

What would happen if a Returned killed another Returned?
NameIess replied to Trusk'our's topic in Warbreaker
I think you're being too cynical. From what we saw in Warbreaker, the priests actually believe in the returned as gods. They sacrificed their lives for the returned, and actually let the returned make the decisions for their country. What would happen to a returned that murdered another returned would probably depend on the circumstances, although one of the returned managing to do something like that seems extremely unlikely, considering that the returned are constantly surrounded by servants. Assuming it did happen, either the returned would vote on their fate or the god king would pronounce judgement. Or the priests might pretend that the god king pronounced judgement and actually do it themselves.- 2 replies

For all effects and purposes, he saw the future. His predictions for the future were as accurate as a shard's, although on a smaller scale.

I haven't thought about it before, but with compounded connection, couldn't you make someone instantly trust you more than they trust their own mother? That could be absolutely broken.

He saw the future. By being smart.

Because the stormlight in the storms is more available, and the Radiants are fueled directly by it, as opposed to the Mistborn, who are fueled by burning metals to gain keyed investiture.
