  1. Clinic: Testing Room The receptionist shrugged. "Above my paygrade. Maybe Dr. Calano can help you with that, or someone else around here." He opened the door to the testing room and gestured for the man to leave. "You have free reign of the clinic, aside from restricted areas." Clinic: Library A line of revolving light split the air in front of Nameless. "Its-almost-open" He grunted, drawing in more saidin, forcing more power into his weaves. "Almost.... there. Almos-" The light shattered, shards of light shooting out around the library, a barrage of the five powers exploding around the room. @Aes Sedai @Thaidakar the Ghostblood@Random Bystander
  2. "Well, cooking is how you make food that tastes good. Or not. Depends on how good at it you are."
  3. "It involves making food. You know, the stuff you eat? You must've had it at least once."
  4. "Some of them. Others come of their own volition, or are admitted by distraught family. Why do you ask?"
  5. "A bird. They lay eggs. And if you've tasted basically any kind of meat, you have a pretty good idea what it tastes like." Klave turned to regard Fadran. "What activity do you speak of?"
  6. Klave hesitated. "We could try farming, I suppose. That only involves killing chickens, in most cases."
  7. Clinic: Testing Room "Yes. It's difficult work, but we've managed to be fairly effective, and that efficacy has been increasing recently." The receptionist shrugged. "When we're not being invaded by chickens, that is. Stuff like that happens an awful lot around here."
  8. "It's a very large creature, mostly peaceful. They live in the ocean." Klave shrugged. "You want to try it? I'm sure we could find an ocean, and crews are always happy for more sailors."
  9. "You kill whales, and use their carcasses for valuable resources. I learned all about it on this trip I was on."
  10. Clinic: Library "Still. I need more practice going to new places anyways. Stand back now, I'm going to open the gateway." He drew in saidin, forming the complex weave for an interdimensional gateway.
  11. "Wouldn't a cloak be better for that purpose?" Klave shrugged. "If Rayvyn is trying new things, I can give her some lessons on whaling."
  12. Clinic: Library "The void between worlds is... not to my taste. Unlike you Soulless types, my brain simply isn't equipped to deal with it." @Thaidakar the Ghostblood
  13. Klave approached, holding a junkyard t-shirt t-shirt in one hand. "Who wears things like this?"
  14. Clinic: Library Nameless coughed. "I believe I can handle that part. Gateways are my specialty. And I don't fancy Thaidakar's way of travel." @Aes Sedai @Thaidakar the Ghostblood
  15. Clinic: Library "Ah. Tower politics. Should've guessed. Still, what's the worst that could happen? You get a penance when you go back to the Tower? Isn't that worth the benefit of giving me a weapon that will actually help against our enemies?"
  16. Clinic: Library "What? Why wouldn't you want me to know that weave? I was going to suggest we link to see if I could figure out how do it with saidin. It's only really useful against shadowspawn, and we seem to be fighting a lot of that kind of creature lately." The Clinic: Testing Room "Yes. It's a terrible disease that afflicts many of those who read Brandon Sanderson's books. Similar to addiction, but far more difficult to break." @Aes Sedai @xinoehp512
  17. "I'm afraid not." The receptionist frowned. "That is odd. I suppose we could run the test again, see if we get some clearer results?"
  18. We can have mutual respect, I agree.
  19. The Clinic: Testing Room The lights flickered back on, and the receptionist walked back in, perusing a set of files. "The lights? Yeah, it's a side effect of the magic. Messes with electricity." He frowned, holding up a sheet of paper. "It appears that you were telling the truth about Brandonfandonitis. I'll send these results to a specialist. Should be finished with a full analysis of your psych within three to five weeks." The Clinic: Library Nameless nodded. "I think we'll be fine. Say, Rue. Do you know the weave for the Flame of Tar Valon?" @Aes Sedai
  20. I don't think unity between CoJCoLDS and most other Christian denominations is possible, at least not without one or both sides compromising their beliefs.
  21. As a Protestant Christian (not a very theologically studied one) what comes to mind is the belief in a gospel beyond that of the Bible, as @Morningtide said the belief that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three separate beings, that God has a physical body. Jesus does, as he became fully human while remaining fully God, but God the Father, to my understanding, does not, and possibly your beliefs on salvation. those are the big things that separate the CoJCoLDS from my denomination at least, not sure whether other denominations would stand on those things. I do think that most would disagree with the first one, however.
  22. “Oh, don’t worry, that won’t hap-” the intercom cut off with a screech as the magic scanning the man abruptly halted. The lights of the room had also failed, leaving him alone, room pitch black aside from the light of the glowing runes running along the walls.
  23. Fortunately for Kilometers, he managed to convince Butt to sell the sandwich for a pittance.
  24. Clinic: Testing Room The receptionist’s voice crackled over the intercom, slightly garbled by all the intense magic going through the young man’s head. “Of course. This facility is cutting-edge. This test has a lower than 10% rate of failure.”
