  1. I too would admittedly like a shardblade. Shame I cannot say for certain what my order is. The official quiz usually said lightweaver, talking with a close family member they thought elsecaller, and I occasionally get truthwatcher from friends. Also, I love the cross guard on this, it is beautiful.
  2. Another awesome piece, there is something very heartwarming about all of your artwork.
  3. So, I finished the Sunlit Man early this morning and one thing kept gnawing at my brain. Throughout the story both Zellion and Aux are consistently referencing their skip capacity. When it is finally used at the end of the novel it takes Zellion to the cognitive realm akin to an Elsecaller. Now, initially I wanted to chalk this up to some sort of side effect of the dawnshard or perhaps an investiture hack taught to Zellion by Hoid. However, Hoid held the dawnshard longer and he is now a full radiant with a living spren. Furthermore, for quite awhile he has been using perpendicularities to travel the cosmere. So, how is Zellion seemingly able to enter the cognitive realm with only a surplus of investiture while his former master cannot? Unfortunately, I was stumped, but I would love to theorize with everyone what may be going on.
  4. Well, it took 3 years but a good friend of mine finally read mistborn at my request. So the slow descent into cosmere begins anew.

  5. Hello and welcome, I too came here to discuss many a mad theory of mine. Think the one I feel is most likely to be true is my thoughts on additional uses for Lerasium. Hope you enjoy your time here on the shard.
  6. Started watching at work, Dier is indeed my favorite of the characters.
  7. At long last my copy of Yumi and The Nightmare Painter has arrived! Can't wait to devour this novel.

Well, I evidently enjoyed the book a great deal as I finished it in the same day I started it.

  8. As someone who has on many occasions exercised my inner conniving bastard for npcs in games I run. I greatly enjoyed reading Dier's retorts. Reminded me of some retorts I have given both in and out of game.
  9. A very interesting tale, I find myself quite liking this character. Going to have to catch up on the series. Amusing to see feather making a character like this.
  10. Update I forgot to give, I have no finished tress of the emerald sea. Quite an enjoyable read.

  11. Well, I still have yet to start Tress of the Emerald Sea. Somehow misplaced a lot of my reading energy since I finally got the book. Have started leafing through Neil Gaiman's Sandman series though. I saw a tale foundry vid on it along with the DC death showcase that convinced me to splurge on the 30th anniversary edition.

  12. My copy of Tress of The Emerald Sea has finally arrived! I am delighted and can't wait to read it.

Happens to the best of us, particularly if one types fast.

  13. Just went and made a list of half the reasons I would want feruchemy over allomancy.
  14. Welcome to the community, you are in for quite a time. Hope you continue to enjoy this incredible setting Brandon has created.
  15. I could have sworn there was something stating that he cannot use unkeyed metal minds either. But that may have been a bad inference on my part. Not sure if one person's weight would wreck an airship though. Either way, I will have to think on that.
  16. True I assume his death factored in a great deal. Hence why I alluded to the returned and the heralds who at least seem capable of utilizing external forms of investiture. Though I do agree the unique nature of his resurrection is likely an important factor.
  17. So, finished the lost metal awhile ago and one thing has been rattling around in my brain to no end. Kelsier has seemingly lost all his powers and even with hemallurgy can't seem to do anything other than use steel sight. I am sure I am not the only one who wonders how he got to and helped the southern scadrians. Not to mention how he has managed to keep this so secret from his new crew. Most of all, I wonder why this is the case for him and not other fused as he seems unable to use unkeyed metal minds as well? The heralds have their shardblades and use external energy (stormlight). In addition returned utilize breath which could arguably be seen as an external investiture. Which to me would imply that cognitive shadows cannot use investiture innately. However, the fact that kelsier cannot to the best of my knowledge use unkeyed metal minds seems to imply there is something more going on. Would love to discuss with anyone, and thanks for chatting in advance.
  18. I feel like I cheated a bit voting for full mistborn, or full fercuhemist. However, I did restrain myself and went with my preference for Feruchemy.
  19. I love this, I know I wanted to do a compounder who was a firefighter that stored up heat to deal with some of the negatives of fighting fires. However, they are also a serial arsonist (think the angel of death archetype trying to be a hero). Was meant to be an antagonist for an era two party to track down. As a trick they use their compounding to set people on fire in fistfights (thing in the tabletop). Also don't feel bad for a murder mystery one shot I wrote a twinborn tin compounder who was a noble turned lawman like Waxilium. Main distinction was that he left due to a falling out with his family as opposed to disliking noble society.
  20. I also love character creation, particularly in the brainstorming phase. Hence why I tried to start a whole thread on it. Another concept of mine is a noble and formerly quite frail pewter arm who takes up underground fighting (within his rather light weight class).
  21. Could I sublet some of your minions to work on my writing ideas as well?
  22. So, recently I got a friend of mine into mistborn and he is amping up to run a game in era one. Personally while I love the capabilities of mistborn and full feruchemists I think the limitations of era 2 can create really fun characters. So I invite anyone who is willing to share their concepts to do so here I'd be delighted to hear. With your permission the base concepts may show up when I run an era 2 game of my own. In the interest of fairness I will share my first idea. A twinborn steel allomancer, and gold feruchemist. Initially grew up in a Terris enclave unaware of his noble blood. After getting into trouble with the law as a youth and subsequently getting kicked out of the village they ended up joining the constabulary years later and settling into a semi normal and happy life. As an open coinshot they hide their blood maker abilities often allowing someone to seemingly fatally shoot them. Only to fire up on them at close range with their allomancy or a gun. Look forward to hearing what great ideas people come up with and thank you in advance for sharing. P.S. I do hope I picked the right channel for this.
  23. Awaiting the delivery of my signed and stamped copy of the lost metal. The wait is killing me!

    Family

The man is in serious need of more happy moments. Love the little syl in the bottom corner there, overall just a great art style.
  25. I loved that series as a kid, was really sad to se where Will ended up in later years. Adored the brother band chronicles even more when they came out cause of Hal, sadly my dad kept the books when I moved out. Even so, thanks for the reminder of a series I loved and stumbled upon as a child at my school library.
