    White sand is by far the earliest novel we have, It's still after Rasheks acsension but not by much on that timescale. If Khriss still looks young without any investiture of her own a Feruchemist could totally do it.

    @Ba-Ado-Fisherman While I agree wholeheartedly about shards not being scary, they aren't gods. That's the point they aren't all powerful, Hoid turned one down specifically because it would be too restricitve.

    Brandon is LDS and there are entire sections of scripture dedicated to how God is a Just AND Merciful God. So yes I do believe it to be a shard.

    I really enjoyed anti-light and the cosmere references. And while it might be pseudo-science to us, in world that is how things work.

    Uhm, I think it's more we're more open about religion on average but I can't say. It is Right vs left would be better as not all right wing is conservative nor all left wing liberal, but yes. The reason why is that in America politicas are invading everything and it's bleeding over into entertainment.

    Ruin was just as bad, none of the Shards truely struck fear in me until TOdium. With the exception of Elantris That is the only thing in the entire cosmere that actually made me worry. and even with TOdium, I'm not overly worried, it's kind of sad, I have almost no investment in the stakes because I already know the ending.
