Landing on the ship, even for a second, might as well be a cannon ball, it would throw the whole ship off, if it's fourteen time the size it might survive, but a single downwards lashing will drop the entire ship from the air. And the steelrunner can't run effecivly in a free fall. Great, forge a connection to Preservation instead, and block Kel from doing anything using the Balance, while Odium kills him and splinters the shard. Ok, there are so many problems with this. 1. How on earth does he burn away pain, that makes no sense, it's a painrail, it feels as if nails are being shoved into every part of you, eyes included, it's not something you 'burn off' even pewter would be hard pressed to counter that. 2.The difficulty in shooting through an eyeslit, before you opponent even notices that you are still contious is unbelivable. You aim and fire in the fraction of a second and manage to make it through the eye slit? That's not just unreal that's impossible. 3. Storing someone elses's identity? The Airship would have to be at least 14 time larger before it had the same effect, istead of immeadiatly breaking it, and that is without any downwards lashings added by the Radiant, my point it that they aren't designed to handle that kind of weight.

A normal human's weight was enough to almost drop the lifeboat, what happens when someone wearing Shardplate which if SA uses real world stones instead of it's own measurements, is 1,400 pounds, jumps on it?

Second off steelrunners aren't breaking the sound barrier, they are good, but not unbeatable, especially when all you have to do is jump to throw the ground out from under them.

With the amount of room a Knight takes up, I don't think you want to go out there, then again, with the entire ship being about to fall to the ground It might be the better option. The gems would have to be the right sizes, but I think it could work, the idea is to link it somehow, to the airship, maybe by attaching a cage to the perpetual motion platform that had a linked gem inside the airship.

Airships are rather limited in their weapons, and besides, there will be very easy blindspots to exploit they were not built for air to air combat, and I don't think a Steelrunner wants to go running around on a limited sized platform that is hundreds of feet in the air, just doesn't seem like a good idea for someone with no way to fly themselves. Everything is easier to destroy than create. Now here is an intresting question, could you use Different sized gems to create perpetual motion by having a physical object link them? move the big gem a foot, and the small one will drag it forward three, causing the small gem to move forward more, etc. Thus giving the Rosharans powered flight.
