So Wax infers from miles's constant compounding that it would be detrimental to him if he were to stop . What exactly would be the consequences ? We know intensive brass compounding can lead to heatstrokes and even death . But that's only if they compound brass too much. Miles doesn't seem to have a problem with that . Is Wax even correct in his deduction ? Will there be withdrawal effects and maybe permanent damage ? What about the other metals ? Even if there are negative effects , is it as bad as allomantic savanthood with respect to tin or pewter ?

Look at Iraq , Saddam was far from benovalent but compared to the Taliban or Kim jong un , he was an angel. He promoted hierarchies , he was a nepotistic bastard , but how is different than a highprince or the kholins in that regard. And he was able to give the ppl atleast some semblance of security and stability And then America invaded and all the stability vaporized into thin air. Now Iraq is a hotspot of violence between all sorts of different factions . Weak rule reigns. And it's a greater destroyer of peace and prosperity than Saddam ever was. Now maybe u ppl already know this So I was watching a YouTube episode of pitch meeting ( it's super funny , check it out ) and this time it was about Guardians of the Galaxy 2 . Ok , so like I think we can all agree that a fullborn is the most dangerous and unbeatable creature in the Cosmere , short of a full shard. Yet tlr died so easily. I mean yeah he was basically relying too much on nicrosil for allomancy and he wasn't expecting Vin to be fueled by Pure preservation itself but still , isn't it a bit strange ? Isn't it wierd how easily he was killed by a somewhat headstrong and stupid teenager of all ppl ?? Wasn't he a little unlucky ? I think the reason tlr died so easily was cause he used up a lot of fortune. OK , MY ENTIRE THOEORY HINGES ON THIS but Like maybe there's a limit for fortune u can use in ur favour. A feruchemist storing or tapping fortune is basically a zero sum game , but a fullborn could easily exhaust his spiretweb's reserve of fortune . I'm pretty fortune works rather differently than any other attribute. Hell , if a fullborn had access to unlimited fortune , there wouldn't be a contest at all. I'm pretty sure fortune is more limited tho , maybe all spiritual qualities are. So back to my theory .Maybe he used fortune excessively during his early reign , Maybe that's how the ppl who flayed , beheaded , burned him , didn't think of removing his metals , even tho knowledge of feruchemy was more common then. Then however the negative effects hit . Would also explain how almost everything he did later on , ended up making things worse , even tho in many cases he had good intentions . Also would explain why he was so depressed. Maybe he was out of fortune and thus , the chemicals in his brain stopped producing the harmones to make him happy. I mean that is what depression is , a fault in the production of mood enhancing harmones by bad luck. It's genetic but some chance is involved and thus , he used up his fortune and became depressed due to being unlucky and became even more vulnerable to Ruin. Also I don't think u can cute depression by being Rioted. Could also how vin's earring came loose when tlr slammed into a wall or something. It wasn't pushed or pulled out , mind u, it came out as a result of her being thrown by tlr and it never did that before , not when she was fighting with Inquisitors or training . It didn't fall away during the battle at luthadel against the Koloss or against the Inquisitors and she was pretty beat up by the Inquisitors mind u . What are the odds of that happening at exactly that moment ,eh ??? . Also maybe just maybe that's how he had a confrontation with vin. I mean look at the odds . Vin stupidly decided to attack tlr , gets captured , gets freed by Sazed even tho he was a terrisman and the Inquisitors atleast should have suspected him of being a feruchemist and removed his metals , then they both nearly get killed but Elend saves them and elend himself is alive cause kelsier saved him ( sure he did it for Vin but I'm pretty sure there could be other factors at work ) and he came to help him cause Vin spares the guards and they just happen to run into Elend. Then she stupidly attacks tlr again , Marsh gets an opportunity to kill a dozen Inquisitors easily , Vin just happens to guess that tlr is actually Rashek not alendi ( I mean I love Vin but she's not exactly the brightest sphere in the mix and it's strange that she would think of things like that while she's literally being crushed by tlr ) , she mini-ascends or something , even tho leras was still alive and ruin being still imprisoned couldn't weaken leras , then the bracers fall out of his reach cause Vin still has some steel left , then Sazed arrives and ok , tlr would have died anyway but still isn't it unlucky how he was killed with a common spear rarther than dying in a somewhat less humiliating way due to accelerated aging . So that's my theory, that tlr used up too much fortune and became unlucky , somehow managed anyway for a few centuries then fell to a common spear by a no of small unlucky events

Wow that was beautiful. I learned so much . damnation Scadrial was almost on the verge of hitting 18th century level tech. Noice. I didn't know that. I knew about the guns and gunpowder but thought they were like in the 11th century level. And about elantris. Sure the Elantrians don't have much incentive to fuel technology but they are just one city and the magic is endemic to the city alone. There are other places , Teod , svorden , the fjordell empire , the rose empire , the unknown third great civilization. Hell , even the rest of Arelon itself can't benefit from Elantrian magic to varying extents . Sure some of these places have thier own places have thier own magic systems but they are extremely limited compared to thier Elantrian kin and again endemic to a small region. And they are all stuck in a transition period bw mediaval and modern. The svordish seem to be making great headway tho.

She never says it outright , but seeing as Roshar was already settled by honor and cultivation before humans ever came there. I think it's safe to assume she meant roshar. But yeah it's ambiguous , maybe the Singers had gods but like not real ones and then they saw the shards coming with the humans and were like ,yeah these must totally be our gods ??? I find that unlikely tho.

Well khriss says except Scadrial and Roshar , humans were already there on other planets BEFORE the shards arrived. Which means they were all there preshattering or that the shards created them but sent them through first. Idk sounds pretty convulated. Why not settle the planet and then create Humans . I really do believe that except Scadrial , all other humans originated from Yolen , one way or another. Oh wait no , no. U agree with me. Ok I misunderstood u , I get it now , see khriss says that Scadrial and another planet were the only ones where the shards predated humanity . I guess since humans were originally found on Ashyn And honor , cultivation settled on roshar before they migrated , it means Roshar was the second planet . The two shards settled on roshar when only singers were there. Read the essay on Scadrial in arcanum unbounded. That's where khriss says it. I'm not saying rosharan or Ashyn humans were created by the shards. Only that they migrated to roshar After the shards settled there . Also yeah that was a typo. I meant Yolen not Roshar. Well I'm guessing the humans on Yolen were at least at mediaval level of tech right ? I guess the same level of development held once they migrated to other planets. Yet it's been atleast 10,000 years since the shattering and nearly all the planets are still stuck at mediaval tech ( With the exception of Scadrial of course , and the dark side of taldain , but even there only gunpowder and the scientific method are the only breakthroughs). Ashyn can be explained away , I mean they literally destroyed thier planet , roshar can be explained as well due to the desolations but the rest , u can't explain how they are still stuck at mediaval , there are also several clues ( atleast on SEL , where it's mentioned the shards d and d , were alive and died when humanity was still in it's prehistoric phase. ) that humanity collectively regressed on all planets ( probably due to the shattering ) or that adonalsium played some joke or experiment just seeding planets with primal humans ???

Migrated after the shattering ?? Idk , I mean wouldn't ppl on nalthis ,taldain , Sel ,Threnody or any of the other planets remember or atleast have some lore about Yolen and thier migration. Also doesn't explain how they went from mediaval to pre history level of social and scientific development. I'm leaning towards pre shattering migration and the shattering like destroyed thier Connection and Identity and they forgot about Yolen and the migration . Maybe they had some high level of tech but that was lost too

Now we know from secret history that like humans first originated in Yolen . And from arcanum and oathbringer that except for Scadrial and Roshar that humanity on all other planets predates the arrival of shards. So how did humanity spread across the Cosmere , were they technologically advanced and had mastered space travel but the shattering sent them back to pre history levels somehow or did adonalsium help them travel , using shard pools or oathgates or like with better control over the spiritual realm. We suspect that's how humans made it from Ashyn to Roshar. If so , were these humans at least at a mediaval level of tech and then somehow regressed desolation-style . I mean khriss says humanity was at it's prehistory when Devotion and Dominion came to Sel. Also why only humans . We know that dragons and some fain things also liver on Yolen and were equal to humans. Yet they didn't spread I think. Any thoughts or WoBs or theories ?

Oh right. I hadn't even thought about it. But still there could have been other beads. Hoid left one , which elend used and it's possible leras originally made 16 and a few are still out there. Of course it would have been impossible to find them while the world was ending . Thanks.

Many good rulers have been terrible people by contemporary standards. I mean , dalinar is almost the same . He even believes in eye color hierarchy a bit. Besides ppl change , look at vasher. He started the many war but ended it too. I'm sure the Lord ruler could have been better if it wasn't for the atium skin piercing bracelet and ruin. Even if he didn't change , u can't deny that ruin torturing him made him worse.

But vin's mom was mentally unstable . So was Zane and that's how ruin was able to get Zane spiked of his own volition. I don't think rashek was mentally unstable. Neither did he have any hemalurgic spikes. He didn't have any right ? I mean , he would know better. Or was it that ruin concertrated on one individual and hence was able to talk to rashek without hemalurgy. I always thought ruin was able to talk to rashek cause the atium in his bracelet even if it were hemalurgically uncharged , still was ruins essence and hence acted as a conduit. Sazed even says ppl burning atium are better killers since they are Connected to ruin.

So why did khriss immediately want to leave as soon as she heard hoid had stolen a bead of Lerasium . She told kelsier she was leaving anyway but she was literally just sitting drinking tea and chatting but as soon as she heard those words from kelsier she wanted to run away. Why exactly was she so afraid ? I mean Ruin was free , preservation was dying and yet she was unfazed but this little tidbit sent her fleeing. Also from what I have seen in stormlight hoid isn't really a bad guy. Sure it's a matter of perspective and hoid himself warns others about himself but still... Also it's mentioned on the copper mind that hoid respects khriss

So we know Rashek was aware of other shard world's , what would have happened if he had visited nalthis and either bullied or threatened ppl to give breath or used his power to see them and fool then into giving thier breath to him as tribute or simply bought breaths with gold mined from the final empire or some thing else like . Could he have accepted the breaths or is it only limited to the nalthisians ? Would endowment kick him out ? Had he succeeded and stopped depending upon atium compounding and grown free from ruin , would he overtime, over the centuries have become a better ruler. Preservations influence woulddy would have left him averse to change and progress but still .....

Saze played a minor role in the fall of tlr . Also as I said they still view him as human and prone to mistakes. Exactly , since compounding is end positive. U could say it's a better form of feruchemy. It doesn't make sense technically but from the pov of racist terrismen. She says so during her conversation with Wax in SoS. How she didn't like wax's mom marrying outside the terris. It falls flat cause if there are multiple fullborn , it's harder for any one of them to become as politically powerful as tlr. Also more fullborn means at least some of them will be more liberal and less untechnically evil compared to tlr. A good example would be the conflicts with the multiple twinborn. Namely the conflict with Forsch and Wax. Not the best example , but a good one. A better example would be the conflict between the allomancers like straff and Vin. Straff and most of his allomancer children had very racist / classist views. While Vin and elend, kelsier and Marsh had the exact opposite view . Ok I agree this is a weak point of my theory but still it doesn't explain why tlr was so terrified of having terrismen breed with noblemen. Most of the twinborn can't compound and aren't really a threat to him. The only compounder we have seen so far is miles and even with his abilities , I'm sure tlr could have easily captured him out using steel compounding . Then taken his sweet time getting him to run out of gold. ( A easier task since dynamite wasn't around during tfe ). Hell if a group of normal constables could capture and kill him . I'm sure the tlr with his Inquisitors and koloss and non magical but zealous followers could have easily defeated him. Also half the metals weren't around the time and tlr had greater access to atium . Wax is the only other twinborn who could seriously challenge him and with iron compounding he could have easily outweighed and outpushed Wax. Wayne wouldn't even have bendalloy. Nicrosil compounding would be impossible since only tlr has knowledge and access to it. In the long run , perhaps they might have bred a fullborn but given how efficient the ministry of Inquisition was , seeing they mostly suppressed all skaa mistings and hunted down several feruchemists and kept tabs on the Noble houses as well. I'm sure they could have easily regulated contacts between terris and noblemen. Esp if they quarentined the terris from the general population and created a loyal class of feruchemists as well and had the kandra act as spies . Besides if it takes several generations of twinborn , it increases tlrs success to wipe them out. He could have originally persecuted the terris , but starting from the fifth century and the creation of the Inquisitors he could have restored and quarentined them. He could have cut a deal with the terrismen to have some knowledge forgotten in return for non persecution. Preserved his divine status in that way. So why was tlr so insecure ? I'm pretty it's cause if a mistborn and feruchemist were to have sex , the baby would be either fullborn or have access to multiple but not all allomanctic and feruchemical powers. It looks by the time it could happen post catecandre , the mistings and ferrings were already too general. I guess the terris nobility didn't recover until Vwafendels time. This is more of an assumption but it seems most of the Noble houses have suffered casualties , financial or human due to the Set's activities. Of course they could be faking to remove suspicion but I doubt it. A weak point of my theory nonetheless . The views of the conquerers however unjust and impractical still influence the conquered. Consider the real world analogy of how indians , actual indians from the subcontinent view ppl with white skin as somehow superior to ppl with darker skin. I mean , I'm Indian a d I know a girl who was beautiful in so many ways internally and externally but was viewed as only mediocre JUST CAUSE SHE HAD DARKER SKIN. The major reason for this is cause the British who conquered us were white. We hate the British , seriously we do. But we also see they weren't technically evil and also embrace much of thier culture and resultant impractical views. Similarly , tlrs views might have gotten even more mutated and twisted . Maybe it's not tlrs views at all. Maybe the terrismen think it was allomancy which poisoned tlr against his own ppl. Humility has been a centre point of many racist cultures. I'm sure most racist white ppl think humility is an important aspect of Christianity AS LONG AS ITS DIRECTED TOWARDS OTHER WHITE PPL. Like the Nazis did , I guess. Maybe they are just waiting for harmony to become even more weaker in human affairs , for the kandra to naturally die out. ( Already they are few in no, compared with tfe ). Or maybe they are just waiting to assume a dominant place in society following the synchronization and assimilation of allomancy and fullborn within the terris community , rather than complete genocide They do seem to have a superiority complex. All of them. Rasheks views were hardly limited to rashek pre final empire. In modern times , They might view all the non magical skaa as inferior. It seems the synod of tfe was more liberal but then ruin happened and now the synod might be all racists. And yet , the use of allomancy is considered rude and severely frowned upon within the terris community , even tho allomancy is of preservation and it was allomancers who freed the terrismen from tlr. I think this is a front to divert suspicion from the terris community until they can synchronize both magic systems via fullborn . Then they might go about with a policy of Dominion or genocide. Yes , I see it might seem ridiculous but it's not totally irrational either.

Ok so I have a really cracked up crack pot theory but hear me out : * don't the terrismen seem kinda racist. I mean , ok , they want full feruchemists back but still thier extreme contempt for allomancy is unfounded. I mean tlr was a terrisman to boot and it was allomancers like Vin and kelsier who eventually brought him down and freed the terrismen. *Besides one could argue that compounding is a advanced level of feruchemy. *Also the grandma's argument that she fears the rise of another Lord ruler falls out flat if several fullborn are born. *Isn't it a bit complementary how they are trying to breed full feruchemists ,while the Set are trying to breed full mistborn . I really think once both goals are accomplished they will breed a mistborn and feruchemist together to get a fullborn or even an entire collection of fullborn . * Edwarn says that it's telsin who's higher ranked than him in the Set and that she recruited him. * Most of the Noble houses have been cleared of being set candidates. So could it be that the upper echelons of the set are actually all or mostly terris elders. Maybe they have this idea that the terrismen are superior ( rashek thought the same thing ). Feruchemy exists naturally ( somewhat ) while allomancy was created artificially. So maybe they wanna unleash a genocide of all other races BUT before they do that they want to incorporate allomancy into the terrismen. It's too promising to simply snuff out . So in order to divert suspicion they act as if they abhor allomancy. They use ppl like edwarn as the face of the organization . I don't think edwarn himself knows the terrismen are involved or he thinks only a few are involved. The terris could be as financially powerful as edwarn implied by some sort of money laundering scheme run through orphanages or whatever. Also If it wasn't for wax's pov we would have thought the terrismen were totally cool ppl. Even Wax himself thinks they are mostly cool ppl. Also stormlight spoilers : And they know that Sazed was and in a way still is human. And hence it's easier to discount his beliefs on tolerance and maybe that's why they are supporting trell , to simply cover up thier own misdeeds .

Ok it seems Wax left voluntarily but still he returns 30 yrs later and the grandma chides him ,of all things , for killing in an act of self and child protection. ( A situation which could have avoided if she had kept a closer eye on the criminal , who was a known arsonist ) IDK man , seems really wrong .
