Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Rubix replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted, but you can't talk to anybody about it for the next 30 years, because Brandon has sworn you to secrecy. I wish all of the cosmere books were available for public (myself included) to consume. -
Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted, but you accidentally throw it away before you have a chance to ingest it. I wish for the Love Magic spammers to no longer spam their message by any means anywhere. -
Well now, hold on. Where is the line drawn on whether or not a quote is valid? Does it have to have a link to something that Brandon himself has said online? Because there's not a whole lot of that. Does a quote from his personal assistant count? A link to the interview database? There are interviews that I've done for 17th Shard with Brandon that have been transcribed and put into the database, do those count? Regarding the letter, and its status as a theory, as I said in the other thread: Found here. I can't think of any other place in all of Brandon's works that were published at the time (March 14, 2013) where one could read that Hoid has a specific beef with Rayse, other than in the first letter. If you can find anything in Brandon's works before that date that contradicts that, something where ANYONE mentions a beef with Rayse, or Rayse at all for that matter, please let me know. Until then, the first letter should be considered to have been written by Hoid.

Book Covers for 'White Sand', and 'The Aether of Night'.
Rubix replied to FlatLine's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I think they look pretty good, particularly White Sand. Just a quick point of clarification, though: White Sand isn't Dragonsteel. -
Do you have a source for that?

I just pulled it up. Looks fine to me.

Much closer to release of the book. I usually try to get them up about 3-6 months before the book comes out, about the time that Tor starts regularly publishing preview chapters and ARCs become available.

Hey everyone, With Words of Radiance having been out for six a number of months now, we've merged the spoiler board into this one. Sorry that it took us a little longer than we anticipated to get this merged together, things have been crazy for all of us. What this means for you is that you can now post all discussions about the series right here in this board. If you haven't yet read book two, be aware that there will be spoilers here, so proceed at your own risk. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me a PM. -Rubix

Maxal, Brandon confirmed that it was Drehy in an unrecorded Q&A with me.

Go ahead and find me anything, anywhere, in text or in WoB, that supports what you're saying here. Go ahead and find me something concrete that actually says this, not just your personal ideas, assumptions, speculations, impressions, or inventions. ... Just one example. Anything at all. Okay. All coming from the Warbreaker PDF, found here on Brandon's website. Addressing commands requiring mental intent: and And addressing vague commands working with only the intent of the Awakener: He clearly requests a very vague thing ("keys" could be taken as two keys off of that ring, all the keys in the world, just the keys and not the ring, etc.) and yet the figure did what Vasher imagined, and brought back the keyring that held the key to his cell. Yup.

The individual bots. From there, it's much easier to get them taken down.

Badali Jewelry already offers metal vials. It's not a market that we're looking at. We're looking only at 17th Shard merchandise.
-
Definitely an idea worth considering. Can't believe I didn't think of it.

Some do give an additional discount to schools.

Anyone else feel that WoK Kaladin > WoR Kaladin?
Rubix replied to Daxos's topic in Stormlight Archive
Hey everyone, please keep discussion in this thread about Kaladin, and differences in his character between WoK and WoR. -
At this time, we are not accepting fan designs of any kind for our merchandise for legal reasons. We are handling this internally, with our own ideas and graphics. If, at some point in the future we have ideas that we're wanting feedback on, we may open voting to help determine what we'll be selling. But we're not going to go with fan designs for our products.

Stormlight 3 Sample Chapter in Sept. 2014 Newsletter
Rubix replied to Titan Arum's topic in 17th Shard Discussion
Hey everyone, we've gotten approval from Team Sanderson to leave this up. In the future, probably best to not post it up so they can stay an exclusive for people signed up for the newsletter. Thanks everyone! -
Unfortunately, doing them that way would be prohibitively expensive, as apparel is much cheaper if they're making an identical batch, vs making each a unique item.

A few... I need to take updated pictures and put them up. A while back, we did put up a post here about a year ago with all of our Brandon Sanderson books. Mind, that was a year ago. There are more now...
