“I’m going to make the executive desicion to leave my five foot sword in the car.” Leona said. “If something happens, I can turn it into cake.” She stepped slowly out of the car and put her hands up. This was not going to end well.

Leona floored the gas, and then noticed the police car. What was going on? Stuff was flying everywhere. A police woman was yelling. Ben and Shana were alive. “Flid, what should we do”

Leona hopped in the car. She peeled out of the garage, ignoring speed limits and flooring it towards Ben and Shana.

“Well I can drive. Just not legally, but at this point I don’t think it matters.” she said. “how comfortable are you with ranged combat?”

Leona changed into jeans and a t shirt with a LoTR meme plastered across it. She strapped Azriel onto her back along with a quiver of arrows and grabbed a bag of spheres from her desk. She attached daggers to sheaths on her highs and strode out the door. “What car are we taking?” she asked, retrieving her bow.

“I’m not in any danger of dying right now. Okay, maybe some. And also I can’t walk. But the others are in danger.” Leona said. She’d taken the knife out, which had caused her to scream a series of curses, and then bandaged it up. The bandages were slowly turning red. Her dress was ruined, but she’d had pictures before hand. Such was the life of an evil slaying high school student. “I don’t want to stay here and be unhelpful. You may need my soulcasting. If something happens I can jump into the cognitive realm.”

Leona woke up inside the house. On the couch. Wasn’t she - wait. Voidbringers. Oh. And from here she couldn’t do anything about it. Or could she. All their phones were linked under one AppleID. [email protected] If she pulled up find my iphone, she could see where they were headed. She sat up, wincing as pain shot through her abdomen. But if she’d stayed alive this long, then she should probably live. She slowly retrieved her laptop from the table which was blessedly in arms reach. She opened her laptop and then clicked on the application. Bam. Only Ben had his phone, but she could see where they were. She fired off a series of texts to the group chat detailing their location.

Leona heard Mahad’s message and gasped. She broke away from Flid and started speedwalking towards the exit. She threw her shoes by the door, and inhaled stormlight. Her ring dimmed. She unstrapped her knives from where they’d been hidden under her dress and fell into a sprint. As she burst into the parking lot, she saw a van pull away. Should she go get help and more weapons, or work with what she had. She started running after the van, stormlight enabling her to almost keep up. Her mouth curled into a smile as she thought of her plan. The van, surprisingly, stopped at a stop sign. Who would have thought evil alien things would obey traffic laws. She inhaled and soulcast a giant wall of cake in front of it. Then, because of course things never worked out, a voice hissed in her ear. “Hello. Your little plan is admirable. But you can’t save your friends if you can’t save yourself.” She turned to look at it. It’s mouth twisted into a cruel sneer as it rammed a rather large knife into her gut. She screamed and fell. Her eyes closed. She smelled cake somewhere. Blood seeped onto her dress and pooled on the street, black in the amber glow of street lights.

Leona took Flid’s hand, desperately trying to remember the square dancing unit from second grade.

"What do you have to thank me for?" She smiled. "I would love to dance. But I have like, three left feet. You have been warned."

She’d played this moment out before in her head, minus the near chocolate immersion bit. Unfortunately, Flid’s presence had scrambled her brain completely. How awkward, especially for an order whose attribute was supposed to be wise. “Yeah, I do. Feel the same way, I mean.” @Emperor Stick

“Yeah, I’m fine. I broke my ankle when I was a kid and it’s never healed properly. For some reason stormlight won’t fix it.” She sighed. “But I got what really matters - the chocolate strawberries.” ahhhhh what do I say “And your comment wasn’t too forward. But now you can claim you swept me off my feet. Literally.”

Leona saw Rob looking at her and her eyes widened. oh crap, he was supposed to be my prom date. But he was talking with Ashlyn, who seemed to like him... Leona arrived at the chocolate fountain, and piled a plate high with chocolate covered strawberries and marshmallows. @Emperor Stick

Leona blushed. “Uh, yeah. Theyre over that way.” she said, pointing. “Wanna go get some?”

Leona saw Flid standing by himself and walked over, finishing off her chocolate covered strawberry. “Uh, Hi.” She said. real smooth, Leona, real smooth.

Leona stepped out of the car. It had taken her forever to get ready. But it was worth it. She had a full face of makeup that highlighted the colors in her eyes and made her lips look fuller. Her hair was pinned up in a complex braid she wasn’t even going to pretend to understand. She’d put extra tape on her ankle so she could wear the heels she’d picked out. But while most teens were trying to smuggle in booze, Leona had brought a massive container of play doh and a pair of knives - one never knew when there’d be a voidbringer attack. “No funny business.” she whispered to Onyx. fine. She walked inside the school. The gymnasium had been completely transformed. She admired the decorations, then noticed a chocolate fountain and made a beeline for it.
