Um. No they are not. Venli wants power. Eshonai wants freedom. Venli is pretty selfish. Eshonai is certainly not. Venli was willing to sacrifice her people's beliefs, culture, lives, and enslave herself in return for power. This sounds pretty selfish to me. Considering that Venli was completely fine with everything that happened while in stormform until her once mate was killed. I am going to say that her people's survival does not seem to be a high priority for Venli except in regards to how that effects her. Sure this would make her interesting. Except her motivations are based on fear not a desire for change. I see no evidence she had any idea that this would happen or that she cared that it did. In fact she seems rather dismissive of the newly awakened ones.

This is speculation. Perhaps a piece of Odium is torn off and gets away. Perhaps Odium is weakened to the point where he can't challenge Cultivation and goes after someone else when he escapes. Perhaps Odium does escape but only manages it by promising to do no injury to anyone on Roshar. We realy have no idea. Also it could totally be Odium or at least Odium derived. Am I wrong or are we agreeing on something that is not fairly obvious?

What makes you think this? They have literally no idea what most of the controls do. That is not true at all(as far as we understand). That Oathgate just malfunctions. It is supposed to kill whoever uses it. Sja-Anat saved them(we think).

Red means that a shard is corrupting another shard. I choose to believe that the a shard in question is actually Odium. It is altogether possible that the red haze in the Mistborn case is a shard trying to do something else entirely that also manifests as red.

My point is that we realy don't know much about how corruption works or what it means.

You can't bypasses a Radiant taxation of Oathgates unless you have a complicit Radiant at each Oathgate willing to operate it for you. I imagine in the past when there were several hundred radiants guarding them was easier.

So as of the end of Oathbringer we know that Honorblades can be used to open Oathgates, that Oathgates can transport directly between each other without having to go to Urithiru, that Odium has an honorblade, and that Odium has four Oathgates in his custody. This means that he can use the Oathgates provided Moash sticks around one of them. Will this have any effect on Rhythm of War's plot?

The Stormfather will not even say when the next highstrom is happening. I doubt he will allow a feeble human to dictate how he does his job. Agreed. Also a great reference.
