Investiture Units and Perfect spheres
Karger replied to LopentheHerdazian's topic in Stormlight Archive
For many of the effects you can approach the effect without getting there. Almost perfect pitch that is not quite. Your aura is bigger but it does not diffract light. That sort of thing. Why is this in the SA thread? -
No we should not.

Or Adonalsium added investiture prior to his shattering and built the perpendicularity into the highstorm. This is of course assuming that Honor's perpendicularity is the highstorm(which is still a little up in the air). I personally think that using the highstrom to transfer might be a great idea if it is possible. Some funny business is going on.

powers and limitations of an elantrian

I think we are done although your example does not exactly fit(we are not going to get a better one for a while though). -
Radiance runs in families to a degree. The Kholins are one of those families. No other monarchy has produced Radiants. Kaladin's family is also Radinat heavy Tien was a Lightweaver for example. Also Lift is not exactly a noblewomen. Kaladin is not. Jasnah deliberately had Shallan marry into the family because she was one(before that she was a noble but not an important one), Szeth is not(although killing kings gets him close I suppose). With the exception of Rock none of the Bridge Four are from important families. Rysn might not be a Radiant but she is getting her own short-story as is Lopen(he is an unimportant Herdazian). I have heard many complaints about SA but lack of diverse viewpoints does not seem like a very good one. Even if Brandon's character concepts might seem a bit old. Also how do you expect People like Lift and Kaladin to effectively mobilize Rosharan citizens without the help of the nobility? On the other hand things are completely different. Political victories are actually happening and working. We did not even know what the apocalypse would look like until book 2 yet it was the thing Jasnah was trying to prevent in book 1. No major social changes are happening on Roshar. Existing political structures with some adjustment are standing firm. There is no single god being to defeat. We don't know if ascension is possible. I doubt that you can beat Odium the way Vin did Ruin. No Moash equivalent exists in Mistborn and no Vin equivalent exists in SA. Dalinar's closest analogue in Mistborn is Reshek yet they are nothing alike. Also Odium's goals are still mysterious in regards to the plannet of Roshar itself. Ruin clearly wanted to destroy scadrial. I could go on but I think my point makes it.

He almost swore the oath in the physical realm where he died. No he was not. Wyndle was thinking a bonding a cobbler but the ring chose Lift instead. The cobbler's spren was a Truthwatcher's spren But if she was stranded in PR, she says she was asleep which I think could mean that she was senseless as you point here, it is also mentioned that stormfather could not find her and assumed that she had died too, Well admittedly she was in the midst of a massacre. Ninjad(am I spelling correctly?)

Sigh. They are not breaking physical law. In fact doing so is impossible.

powers and limitations of an elantrian

Lifeless fight with most the the skills they had while alive and Warbreaker spoilers Soooooo. Maybe a slightly modified version of their awakening process with blood from elite soldiers could do something? -
Investiture Units and Perfect spheres

They are not exactly the same. However they are quite similar in some respects. 50 breaths of any quality will get you the second hightening for example. As I was saying a breath is still a breath the way a carbon atom is still a carbon atom. You can have ions and isotopes but it is still a carbon atom and the atom may be older or younger(which sometimes may matter) but it is still a carbon atom. A breath is still a good base unit. Latter they will call it the Ideal Breath or IB(just making this last part up). -
I like the idea but I don't think so. At least if they did they would not be able to advance to the 5th ideal.

I personally think that their are safer ways to teleport with the AonDor that don't require exact geographic knowledge. If you can use more modifiers and make a better "program." I understand I just disagree. Intent name and focus should be enough if you craft a good enough program(at least as I understand it). I meant adding the blood to a lifeless you are trying to make not awaken the blood itself. -

Sure. For example child breaths are "fresher" and more energetic in some ways. However a breath is still a breath no matter the quality. -

Sorry I am not speaking clearly. My point was that increasing connection via physical means(like) blood is a very much awakener thing not something we have ever seen an Elantrian do. They might need a few more modifierers that have to do with strengthening the focous of my proposed method for killing people so the actual aons would probably spell out something like, "Kill the person(s) whose name(s) I speak. Really! Really! Really! Really! Really! Focus! Focus! Focus! Focus! Now! Now! Now!" Side note. Do you think getting the blood of a really good swordsmen and using a modified version of the single breath awakening command with the added "and fight as if you were him" would work? -
So you think getting a metal slightly warmer will increase how much investiture is in it if you can get the right intent behind it?

Investiture Units and Perfect spheres

Not sure what this means. Brandon says it will likley be breath as breath is quantized Divine breaths are not considered breaths are not realy easily transferable as breaths and are easily distinguishable from regular breaths. Actually the amount varies depending on the misting, and how experienced they are. You don't know that neither do we. Artificial gem creation is possible and you might be able to get it perfect. The "imperfections" that make sapphires are 'chemical impurities not structural ones. Diamonds are a pollstone and are entirely Carbon. Pure Carbon is easy to find(capitalizing Carbon is a thing I do I don't know why). -
Then why not use heat or light. It would probably be easier or safer(assuming you could get it working to begin with).
-
Maybe, but this is not the sort of thing that people forget.

We have never seen them use anything like that. It does actually. Remember that little girl? I would not be surprised if it had some kinds of odd commands that made blood of something else worthwhile. -

As far as I know the only things an Elantrian needs are good parameters, a functioning city, and to be in that city. We have never known them to need physical objects before. -

I don't think Aons work like that. That seems more like an awakening thing. -

I wonder if you can say, "Aon Sheo. Kill the person(s) to be named." Then name someone(s) and insta kill them -
From what we know he is an aspect of Autonomy. Maybe he does not like other people using his investiture?
