  1. Look at "how the 10 orders do every day things" and select all the stoneward's traits based on what you see there.
  2. No wonder he is so unhappy these days. I mean he he played the bass!
  3. Or at least is supposed to have that capacity. Sighs with irritation. Some of this(the purelake for example) is probably because Roshar was designed by an intelligent being with specific goals. Others could have happened by divine intervention. Which four? I mean Taln is obvious, and Ash(both for the sex appeal) but who filled out the other two slots?
  4. I do not believe we have a hard release date.
  5. Keep in mind Brandon does occasionally enjoy trolling us.
  6. Maybe but we don't have a release date for them and honestly I think I will just make a new topic. Also I agree that we learned basically nothing of Cosmere significance.
  7. Yes but all of the particularities we have seen start in the middle of a CR ocean. As to navigation once they have airplanes they will have radios(we have seen that the southern scadrains have both)
  8. I do not think that is how it works.
  9. I assume that by the completion of all 10 novels we will actually know how each surge works and their full capabilities.
  10. Either that or he is just wary of limitations. He is immortal and you never know when one of those promises is going to come back and bite you. An interesting possibility another is that Odium himself made no specific promise he just let a fused do it for him. In fact we have no evidence that the Iriali even know that Odium exists.
  11. What an interesting statement.
  12. What you are talking about is the utilitarian answer to the question. I (and most people currently living in the western world) prefer the Natural law argument IE laws are based on the " Naturally occurring" IE law should be based on principles like equality, freedom, and impartiality that exist even in the absence of government. Nale's view is far too narrow , I think this is actually his Herald's madness, and since the skybreakers see him as the ultimate authority over laws and legality they follow him lead in this and so believe in a view of law that overemphasizes trust and compliance. Many of them may doubt it is possible to swear the third ideal.
  13. That deleted scene was not eddied for continuity. Referring to in world WoR quote that you already mentioned.
  14. That is great for ideals 1 through 4 but for the 5th ideal you need a real understanding of where law comes from and how it is supposed to work. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law#Legal_theory
  15. I think planes are almost certainly your best option. Too much of the CR is ocean for trains or cars.
  16. At lower ideals sure. At the highest ideals I don't think so. To become law you have to understand the law's purpose, to create a harmonious society. Killing good people does not really help with this even if it works in the short term.
  17. Lightweaving is best suited to Hoid's nature.
  18. A tide of fortune that pulled everyone together at Dalinar's third ideal moment.
  19. More their mission before hand of killing good people. Ideally law should work in such a way as to make that unnecessary.
  20. All of these seem like much better options. A well thrown shard-boomerang has some amazing possibilities. Also you could Captain America with a frisbee and have your shield go right through them!
  21. and in the visions the Windrunner tells Dalinar "you have not summoned your armor yet" in OB.
  22. Good luck making a decent shot with that. Shardblades might be lightweight but they still have mass.
