    Sup Guys!

They don't breed enough. Also welcome! Also you triple posted.
  2. Other then that Honor is worse then both Cultivation and Odium and that Preservation and Ruin had future sight oriented differently we do not really know much about what makes a given shard better or worse then another at future sight. As to how Marasi knew she saw Suit come up and Wax not. Suit would not have left Wax around where he could do damage.
  3. My personal favorite is allowing Heralds to retire and find a replacement.
  4. The stormfather claims they were made from Honor.
  5. This is generally used to imply a relationship between God and the individuals. I am not sure that this is the case with the oathpact which seems to imply an agreement between humans (in this case the Heralds) to maintain a sacred goal. I personally think the difference is meaningful.
  6. Welcome!
  7. They are. In my highschool we had a lizard and it apparently died during the winter so we put it in the freezer until the ground was soft enough to bury her. Fast forward until spring we take her out and she starts moving.
  8. Like Dalinar or Dumbledore.
  9. I would totally read The Adventures of Slaveboi and Jeffery Dean Morgan. That book sounds awesome.
  10. Welcome!
  11. I love Kaladin but reading him is emotionally difficult. He is a realistic hero and it hurts to watch him. Still "I will protect those who cannot protect themselves!"
  12. That is workable. Although I think we should stop calling them tanks and think of them more like mobile fortifications. We could have a low wall and an overhanging one with a gap for pikemen or archers.
  13. Happens all the time don't worry. It is also very true for training pike men. They need to stay in sync to work effectively. They are not actually. Only the darkeyed officers are. For some reason the Lighteyes seem a bit nervous of giving to much acclaim to the average grunt soldier. Right but what happens when a small group of people push it back the other way?
  14. So you make a spike and then grind it up into needles that you inject? That seems a bit unnecessary. Just breaking it into slivers and then stabbing should work and give a permanent boost(although a small one). Since these abilities are usable via medallion I do not think that this will be a thing that starts happening(especially since allomancers tend to be wealthy and we don't have many) but it is interesting to think about.
  15. As you noted. Kaladin's squad in Amaram's army were made up of dregs. As to Dalinar's shattered plains army. Massed pikemen might get into trouble with mobility under those geographic conditions. Dalinar's early army also was not modern in any real sense of the word I think the best example of a real proffesional army is here Which sounds to me a lot like the standard tactics employed during the thirty years war of tightly packed pike men(staying in formation is not really that effective with other types of melee weaponry). Kaladin also makes a comment about how the most important part of being a solder is learning how to march correctly in sync with your fellows. As a side note the pay and training of a large number of these men is easier then archers or sword mastery which is really difficult and requires several years of constant practice. I wonder what it will do to the Vorin social structure. I like where this is going but it needs refinement. This type of tank could be pushed over or slid down an incline by a lone individual using mussel power. Roshar is also a wetter place and clothing might be made with combustion in mind(flame retardant). If an arrow hits you I don't think it matters much weather or not it is on fire when it does and regardless of oxygen fire still would take time and the enemy could probably just pat it out. If we combine them with windrunners for mobility we could have a really fun elsecaller video game where they create fortifications and destroy them all over the battlefield. I recommend doing the same thing to the food and gemstone reserves.
  16. Welcome. "I am honored to call myself chull dung" is something I have never have thought I would be want to say.
  17. That refers only to the listeners and I am not sure that Nale knew about their preferences in the matter. The fused however did want to come back and are sort of the masters of the land who still have their lease.
  18. This is a new course of action for Nale based on a newer revelation. Remember he has sworn the fifth ideal. He knows where law comes from and why it should be obeyed or not. He fought to prevent a desolation because he thought it would preserve some greater principle or more important consideration.
  19. I can think of four possible reasons 1. It was just easier to make them true breeding. Even Harmony is not actually omnipotent and he was remaking the world so it may have made sense to keep things simple. 2. He gave them their perception of what they wanted. They claim to want to be human but many of them would probably say that they liked being strong and blue if they could figure out why someone was asking as opposed to fighting them. 3. Considering that they were probably the stuff of the originator's nightmares I think that he might have foreseen bad consequences by turning them fully human. 4. They were his back up plan in case Elendel did not work out for some reason a new society of humans could always propagate from the koloss settlements.
  20. Ash agrees with Nale although what his oath three is is an interesting question.
  21. You worked insurance! Is an amazing reveal.
  22. We don't actually know that Ishar was down for the torture. The Stormfather could be wrong or Ishar may have made a mistake about who was to be tortured. On the internet it is generally a good idea to be nicer then not and this does have ideas that could become a decent theory.
  23. Welcome to the shard.

    1. Honorless

      Honorless

      Welcome to the Shard!

  24. The Last Returned(My new head cannon name for Vasher as he is going to outlive everybody including the shards).
  25. I personally have always seen this as Ishar's madness. He is supposed to be the pious one but now just believes what he wants to believe or what is convenient for him(that things will turn out fine if they abandon Taln). I also do not think that a megalomaniacal psychopathic bastard would be willing to dam himself to save the world which according to the stormfather is what the oathpact was designed to do and Ishar's idea. As to the reason that the other Herald's think he is still sane. I think that is the other half of his madness. He is supposed to be the one with the plan or with ideas but now he manipulates people because he wants to seem like he does or wants to feel in control. Decent theory though. Maybe he was always a high functioning sociopath?
