Are cooler then Chasmfiends but Kandra are still pretty wild. Immortal shapeshifters that eat people to become them. Also how exactly are you going to move a Reshi greatshell to Cultivation's perpendicularity? And how does the fact that something else that is cool exists diminish the coolness of the thing I am talking about? Things are cool because they are unfamiliar or novel. I doubt you give any thought to electricity. I also fail to see why you continue to comment.

The WoW factor still exists and is interesting. Chasmfiends could be extinct by the time this happens and at any rate are no different the elephants in terms of interestingness.

They can morph their skin but they can't look like other people. Also the shadow is a dead give away.

Yeah. Bugs remember. The consistency would be totally off.

Just poke it with a stick. Revealed.

The when of bonding is a bit weird. Kaladin was sort of bonded to Syl as a kid for example.

A better point is that Pattern does not care about Jasnah's lies. The fact that she has a fake soulcaster is of only academic interest to him. The Truth he wants is Shallan's. Additionally basically everyone goes through life with a strong amount of background lies. The average number of lies told per day by each person was 1.65.Nov 30, 2011

"Passive" effects of being an Elantrian
Karger replied to Thunder_93's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
To be 100% honest we don't know what would happen to an Elantrain who was put on Taldain without going through the Dor. -
Not exactly becoming an Elantrain involves more then just healing. The partial change effected his mind giving him "autism."

Changing a body is way different then changing a rock. Kandra are undetectable to Rosharans. With Lightweavings just poke it with a stick.

I think Tien, Elhokar, and Shallan's personal lies are much more obvious and formidable. Also Tien did not start to bond until after leaving behind his home and that lie and joining the army. That is slightly supernatural sort of.

You heal to what your body thinks it should be in an ideal state. Age is a natraul and accounted for part of living so your body thinks you should be as old as you are. However with something like cancer your body does not feel like it should be ill(unless you have had it for a very long time) and so you can heal from it. You can also transition if you are trans by healing. Mental illness is a bit odd. If caused by recent brain injury you should be able to heal yourself of it. However a natraul condition like autism that you were born with would not by healable because your spiritual identity says you should see the world in that way.

Each Shard's Future Sight Skills and How to Overcome Them.
Karger replied to Karger's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The best example I think of her intent is this WoB. but what does isolationism mean? The only way to be truly autonomous is to control everything so is that her intent? Or if you have an understanding with another person that allows you to do what you want are you self sufficient? I think so. -

Does the certainty of the belief matter or only the number of people? -
I suppose although it is not magical in nature. A very intelligent ordinary person can do the same thing. I don't think he had any ability to tell if the child was being honest beyond basic deduction and similar personal experiences.

There is also the whole Odium would demolish an entire city for a.01% chance of offing Hoid. I don't think accommodation is possible.

If on the eve of a battle a commander gave a speech in which he claimed that he knew a secret weakness of the armor of death and told it to them would that weakness exist assuming they believed him? Also what happens if you counterfeit with mythsteal? -
Saze is the equal and opposite reaction. Imprisonment seems super easy for him as his intent naturally counteracts everything.
-
That seems rather harsh. I like Saze. He could just drop the shard for a moment or imprison Odium permanently.
-
That is really a matter of opinion. The pulling experience could also be the fact that equilibrium requires maintaining two opposite forces in equal proportion like gravity and expansion in our universe. Major simplification there. Wax Preserves public order while the Kandra regularly ignore it to do what is necessary. As a side note I always enjoyed that while Wax is a man and therefor changes he is an agent for the status quo while the kandra are a race of immortals they are a driving institution for research and progress. A new experienced vessel with the right life experiences behind them can do more or less anything with any shard(Like Vin and Ati). It would not need to be Saze in particular.
-
Kandra probably have WTF moments. Heck even Saze probably does.
