  1. Yeah, I visit Madison and Jefferson at an average rate of 6-12 times a year and I quite enjoy your library. It actually happens to be where I first checked out the Mistborn Era 2 books. Excellent selection.
  2. Cool, I was curious about both. I actually reside in the first town that you go through after entering the Idaho Teton County. We do frequently cross over into Wyoming though, after all the border to the other Teton County is just a few miles away.
  3. Have you ever been to Teton County? If so, how frequently?

  7. Not sure, to tell you the truth. Though I have the notion that it isn't.
  8. By no means suggesting anything inappropriate, but Pattern can also purportedly fit into a keyhole and continue vibrating. He picks a lock with the very method in WoR.
  9. An excellent idea, no doubt! Does linking to a link of an Alleyverse guild in an introduction thread violate the rules though? Curious as to everyone's thoughts.
  10. Thank you all. You have been quite helpful. This solution actually makes the most sense out of the ones that I was guessing, so I am completely satisfied.
  11. "About that shovel dilemma..." Said Nuemark trailing off as the corner of his mouth quirked up in a half smile. Annette, can you do a shovel? I don't see why not. It's not a very respectable tool, though if you asked these people you seem to be gravitating toward, they'd probably say it was more glorious a tool than the finest sword. Annette sniffed. In his mind. How'd that work? A spren sniffing in your mind. Dammdest thing, that. Thanks, Nett. Although I don't know why you seem so adverse to me avoid'n killin' folks and gravitatin' toward the peaceful guilds once in a while when I see one who could use a spot of help. I don't like killing any more than you do, but you still have to remember your duties. You're a Ghostblood. And you must admit, using me as a shovel is a waste. Said Annette, still somewhat put off. We was told to rebuild and stop trouble before it got out of hand. We're doin' both here, ain't we? We are, but we both know that there is much greater trouble out there right now that may require our help to be successfully stopped. Yeah, fair enough, here; they can dig with you until their friend brings back an ordinary shovel. When we're done, we leave and go after the other problems we were supposed to settle. I feel bad, lyin' to the lot as we did, and I don't suspect a one of 'em is the one, but you can't be too careful yaknow? I must agree, I don't see any immediate danger...so lending them me for a bit shouldn't be so bad, said Annette, her voice in his head softer now, but as unyielding as ever. And I felt you thinking that hearing me sniff in your mind was strange. Darn spren, always reading minds. He was still getting used to that, even after over a year. Nuemark summoned Annette as a shovel. It was silver, had a five foot straight hexagonal haft, and a thin, sharp blade, though not shardblade sharp, as to not risk damaging the terracotta statue. And that. Said his shardshovel. Nuemark held out his Nett-shovel to the glowin' lass with the penknife. "You reccon this'll suffice for what you're doing?" @Rushu42
  12. So I am curious, if say, a live mistwraith were spiked with the deceased Paalm's spikes (or those of any other deceased kandra), what does anyone imagine would happen? I would expect nothing at all, however I could not find any information upon the topic and was curious about anyone elses theories. Is there any chance of resurrection of the Kandra in question's soul?
  13. Or make the bullet with a ballistic tip from aluminium. For reference, I have included a photograph of a bullet with a polymer ballistic tip.
  14. Ah, in my experiences blowguns are accurate, but only at close range, say, about a meter or two. Beyond that, they lose their accuracy at a severe rate, grouping around 30 cm at 10 meters, mind you I am not the most skilled blowgun marksman, but the fact remains that it would be more precise and reliable to spike someone with a spear than a blowgun at the distance of a couple of meters. On the other hand, I can reliably keep a 5cm group at 25m with an autoloading handgun of about the same tech level as Era 2 pistols (A CZ75b to be specific), and a 2 1/3 cm group at 10m, which is effectively stacking .40 caliber (10mm) bullets one atop the other. That still may not be precise enough. My suggestion would be a small caliber pneumatic gun, as the barrel is stationary rather than pivoting, like that of an automatic pistol, and the recoil would be so minuscule that it would be practically ineffectual. Something else to take into consideration is the inherent instability of traditionally shaped bullets of such a light metal as aluminium in flight, as that could affect accuracy for the worse as well.
  15. I related a lot to Elend in the first book too, (I am sure you would never have guessed.) but got Kelsier.
  16. My thoughts exactly.
  17. Then again, thirty slugs in the chest and head might do in even a Knight Radiant anyway.
  18. This really is an excellent idea and well executed so far too, so kudos to you! If I could give this post more than one upvote I would. I think I shall give the demo itself a try as soon as I get a chance, probably tomorrow. I would be curious, however, do you intend to set the game permanently in Era 1 or possibly incorporate features from Era 2 as well?
  19. After some extended deliberation and not more than a few failures in coordination upon the part of the judges, the winner has been selected from the three contestants to have entered covers, @Matrim's Dice and his cover of 'All of Me' by John Schmidt, for it's most skillful execution.
  20. "A few alleys back I was asking an urchin about the death of an old friend that had happened in these parts a bit ago." Said Nuemark, thumbing over his shoulder. "He goes out far from his home alley, further than the others anyway, and while we was talking he tells me that there was an alley with thick vegetation but with a 'dark centre' as he puts it, and a 'wrongness in the air'. I don't reccon it's connected bein' that my friend died from a shotgun blast, not a strange leechin' thing, but figured I might come check it out." Nuemark paused, scratching his chin and looking at the outreached terracotta hand thoughtfully. "At first I thought that it was gonna be a leecher troublemaker, as I've seen a few of them stirring up their breed of trouble before, but that doesn't seem to be the case now, does it. You got any idea? @Gears
  21. Nuemark Bordeux walked slowly into the alley. Yes, this is what he had been searching for. He glanced over at the prostrate scientists and archeologists. "ello, all" he said, his voice, a clear baritone, had a strong Scadrian Roughs accent, almost contradictory to his fine appearance. I should work harder on hiding that, it's gotta be bad for the image. I can't afford going about sounding right uneducated now. Thought Nuemark, walking closer and peering down at what the workers were doing. "Would the dishonesty in doing so be wrong or unlawful?" Said Annette in his head. Perhaps, but there I don't think the Ghostbloods have any law against it. Thought Nuemark, nodding to each member of the group in turn.
