Eza awoke with a start. Immediately, she drew her daggers and glanced around. No one else seemed to be there, just Lum. But they were nervous.
She was used to running away quietly. Eza put up her hood, tied up loose bags to prevent any jangling nosies, and kept her head on a swivel.
She silently followed Lum out and concealed her daggers under her coat. She still held onto their handles, just in case.
They started speaking to the person in the lobby. If Lum was worried, then why would they talk to someone? Shouldn’t they just leave? She almost said something, but Lum said they were lucky. So she hoped that their luck was enough to steer them correctly.
