  1. Eza let Asylum lower her dagger. None of what Perses said was familiar. That was reassuring. She eyed him suspiciously for a moment more, then decided it was best not to speak with him any further. Anything she said would just insult him. Perses was a murderer, but he at least wasn’t one she knew. That was good enough. Eza sheathed her daggers and looked to Itsuki. ”I’m fifteen. I met Asylum yesterday. They helped me, uh…” Was it smart to tell a random person about their crimes? She paused for a moment. Eh, she was pretty sure Asylum had just stabbed someone. It couldn’t hurt at this point if she rephrased it a bit. ”They helped me get a bunch of really pretty stuff. Look!” She pulled out a beautiful necklace, studded with crystals. She hoped showing off her treasure would be enough to distract her from everything else going on. Rust. Eza had quite a lot of stolen jewelry on her person. It would be hard to explain exactly why a street urchin had so much. She didn’t even know what the punishments were like here. Based on what she had seen so far, they probably weren’t particularly nice. Burning iron, she pulled down several cups on the bar in quick succession, making a large clattering sound. Eza then attempted to run back out through the window, doing her best impression of a terrified little girl. She iron pulled on something metal on Asylum’s person, hoping they would take the hint and follow her. Maybe their luck could help them escape? @Ookla of whimsy @Ookla of Ravens
  2. Eza pushed Asylum away and ignored the barfing person’s questions. She lifted her dagger in the spiked man’s direction. ”Who are you?” Her voice had become almost growling, far harsher than she normally spoke. Her outstretched arm was shaking, but not with fear. She was angry. Asylum knew this person? Asylum was his friend? They were saying good things about her. That meant they were probably not going to kill her, right? @Ookla the Windwhisperer @Ookla thePresentParticiple
  3. Lunamor backs up. Kaladin could take it from here; he would only get in the way.
  4. The man suddenly pushed a coin through a guard. Eza jumped, preparing to somehow stealthily enter. Lum’s in danger, I need to- Then the man’s glasses were knocked off. Eza went pale, freezing in place. Those spikes, sticking into his head. Eyes of expressionless steel. He looked like them. Eza responded, her voice a mix of anger and fear. ”A murderer is in there. You can’t go in. Get help if you can.” She turned to face him, eyes wide. She looked terrified. ”RUN.” She turned back, now ignoring the man. Eza tugged hard on the inner mechanisms of the lock. Something snapped loudly, and the window swung open. She didn’t care about making sound anymore. Eza dashed inside, pulling out her daggers. Running to a wall separating the lobby from a small room, she hid behind it. And started to quietly hyperventilate. She didn’t recognize him. His spikes looked smaller. But he acted like them. He attacked like them. No, he wasn’t them. He couldn’t be them. She’d hid well, they weren’t coming for her. She wasn’t why they were here. Eza didn’t believe that. But she had to. She started to breathe normally, and her expression went cold. She crouched down and placed her daggers on the floor. Regardless of who he was, she wanted to hurt him. @Ookla of whimsy @Ookla of Ravens
  5. Eza couldn’t find any unlocked windows. Rusting inn had rusting security measures. She picked the window closest to the lobby and scurried over. Eza downed a vial of iron, burning a small amount. She could see a small line leading to the inside of the lock. If she pulled on it correctly, it would open the lock without too much noise. She’d practiced this before, but hadn’t quite gotten the hang of it yet. She refrained from tugging on the line for now. She didn’t see anyone yet, and didn’t want to reveal herself or make Lum upset. Eza tried to keep out of sight as best as she could, peeking into the window from the side. @Ookla the Windwhisperer @Ookla of whimsy @Ookla of Ravens
  6. “Ash, this is Kaladin.” Lunamor gestured to him. ”He is here to help you.” Lunamor shuffled over to Kaladin and whispered under his breath. ”Ash, she is having some problems. Seeing things, being terrified. She needs help.” @Ookla the Wierdo
  7. “This is not working.” Lunamor thought for a moment. Then he walked over to the wall and placed his hand on a vein of gemstone. ”Navani? Please send Kaladin to The Happy Inquisitor. It’s an emergency.” Kaladin would know what to do. @Ookla the Wierdo @Ookla-The-Stick

  12. Lunamor frantically retrieved a towel and tried to dry off Ash.
  13. “I am… not equipped for this.” Lunamor nervously fiddled for a moment. Then, he splashed Ash in the face with a cup of ice cold water.
  14. “Ash? Are you ok?” Lunamor inhaled some stormlight, just in case. ”I’m Lunamor. Do you remember me?”
  15. “You are in The Happy Inquisitor, a restaurant in Urithiru. You were drinking coffee. It apparently made you fall asleep instead of waking up.” He handed Ash the remainder of her coffee.
  16. Lunamor grabbed a bottle from underneath the bar. He uncapped it and held it underneath Ash’s nose, waking her up.
  17. Lunamor dragged Ash over to a table and propped her up. At least she was getting some sleep. He shuffled back over to the bar and kept an eye on her.
  18. “He is espresso. A type of coffee. He will wake you up.”
  19. Lunamor prepared an extra potent cup of espresso. He walked over to Ash and handed to her.
  20. “The storming white storming sliced your storming leg open.”
