  1. Gravel nodded thoughtfully. He had hard grey eyes, but there was a youth to them. It was time to explore.
  2. "Star? I think if I had a mother, I'd remember her... Star isn't ringing any bells."
  3. Gravel ran a hand through his thick red curls, looking about at the great Hall. "Hiya," he said. "I'm-" Gravel Celeste. "Gravel Celeste."
  4. Ah TLT, my old friend. It seems I have returned. The universe gave birth to a new being. He had red hair, as his counterpart would have wished for him, and a muscular body fit for a Narrator. His name was Gravel Celeste. Gravel wiggled his fingers. He wiggled his toes. He wiggled his head and he wiggled his nose. He was real, he was flesh and bone. A Narrator. And his name was Gravel Celeste.
  5. It was!
  6. She nodded, though it was more of a bow. "I am. Or, I was. Now I'm... something different."
  7. "Every being is capable of dying. My life force is tied to a planet called Terinost. If that is destroyed, then so will I."
  8. "I tried that," Tamika said sourly. "After an existence like mine, settling down is not enough. And that's another thing I don't advise; marrying immortals. They tend to be as restless as they are prideful; stubborn as an ass and bitter as lemon."
  9. She nodded. "No one can go through life without it. And when you go through hundreds of lives... Well."
  10. "I know a little of what it's like to be separated from those you love." Suddenly, her eyes looked old, millennia of experience, pain, and joy revealed.
  11. Tamika fell back to say hello to Journey. "Nice to meet you," she said. Despite her status as an Imperium, she looked like a completely normal human.
  12. They’re sisters. Tamika is older. Here’s some art of everyone. Spoilered for size. Star Celeste Sierra Satrebil Heather Albany Nicolae Kimby and Basil Fischer Rose Oakenwey Ember Celeste Tamika Satrebil Narrator Gravel (I know it says Granite)
  13. Hehehehe. I have several, as I said. Star Celeste (a Narrator and the main character of OG CBST, mother of three) and Sierra Satrebil (a sassy girl from Keyed with a severe eating disorder) - Pan Heather Albany (goth girl possessed by the witherlord from OG CBST) and Nicolae Kimby (from Masquerade) - Bi Elgiloy (servant of the dark lord from Chaotic Light) - Non-binary Rose Oakenwey (bounty hunter from CBST) and Ember Celeste (Star‘s servant, protester of the Celeste’s, from CBST) - Lesbian Tamika Satrebil (main character of Keyed, a dancer and adventurer) - Asexual Narrator Gravel (The reincarnation of one of Star’s children, a drag queen from CBST) and Basil Fischer (a guard and Nicolae’s boyfriend from Masquerade) - Gay
  14. From the album: My Mistborn Stuff

A berry pie I made today.
  15. We’re having an open mic night at my school and I’m wondering if anyone has some suggestions on an excerpt I could read from one of Sanderson‘s pieces. It would have to be something that could be read without context

      The Wandering Wizard

The girl who looked up the extended edition

One of Hoid's SA stories? Dog and Dragon maybe?

    4. Borio Singaldi

      Borio Singaldi

I recommend one of Hoid's stories, like others on here have said. Maybe the story of Fleet, set to a stomping tempo.

Ooh, or maybe excerpts of Alendi's logbook from TFE.

I also think the Way of Kings prologue suggestion is a nice idea.

  16. "The spirit world," Tamika said. "I know a thing or two about gods who do what they want. It never ends well..."
  17. Star woke up hungry and a bloody mess. She knew she could travel to the stream to wash herself again, but what was the point? She knew there was nothing worthwhile in that direction. And besides, the blood would probably scare nervous, tired tributes like that farmer boy. She yawned, standing up and dusting the leaves off her blood-splattered clothing and messy hair. Once, she might have made sure that she looked perfect, but now it didn't matter. She could look good when she won. She could smell good when she won. For now, it was time to find Xino.
