Sorry, it's unedited; Masquerade was originally an RP, so this is little more than the posts mashed together. You can thank @The Ward's Guard for writing Fischer's parts. (Guard is my boyfriend, in case y'all didn't know. He is also demisexual) Nicolae and Fischer's first interaction in the book. Fischer and Nico's subsequent date: Shortly after the date, Nicolae is stabbed by a woman named Avilaine for... reasons that aren't important. After having dinner with the general and his wife, Nicolae and Fischer ride in a carriage back to the palace together:

    Hun, don't you feel bad about slow progress. I have a series called Keyed with about 80 canon pages and 120 more non-canon ones that's been stewing in my head going through re-write after re-write for three years. I was originally working on it with Xino, but I dropped him, 'cause I realized he wasn't going to help with the actual writing progress. If I ever do publish it though, I'll definitely give him a good honorable mention, because it wouldn't exist without him. Some advice; I highly suggest you write out an outline before you actually write the book. It took me a year (mostly of waiting for Xino), but I did finish the outline for Keyed last year and now it seems WAY more plausible to get published. I just gotta put the actual elbow grease in and write the other 1200 pages. The book I'm currently focusing on (Masquerade, which is 106,000 words currently) has a pretty good outline, and everything is color coded for what me and Fadran need to work on to finish it. We only have about 100 more pages to write together, which is amazing! I hope to get the first draft done by this September. Oh, and something rather topical; Masquerade is the book that features Fischer and Nicolae, that gay couple I mentioned back when I listed all my characters. They're adorable. Fischer is a soldier and Nico is the king's attendant.

    Four updates for y'all: 

    Open mic night is TONIGHT and I decided to read a bit of the first chapter of the book I'm writing with Fadran. (It's called Masquerade if you're unaware (yes, based on the RP Masquerade: These Masks We Wear)) The reason I chose this over Sanderson stuff is twofold. 1) My Sanderson books are currently lent out to multiple friends, so I didn't exactly have access to what I would have otherwise liked to read. And 2) publicity, man!

    I have two days left of school not counting today! Those two days will be dedicated to my second semester Junior year finals! Crazy! 

    I was just reminded that pride month is coming up and, like... I am literally so excited. :D I drew something for it I think two years ago??? But I really want to do something again. I'll have to find a suitable reference for Star, Sierra, Heather, Nicolae, Elgiloy, Rose, Jahora, Tamika, Gravel, and Fischer. All my fictional queer buddies. 

    I recently discovered two new music artists; Cody Fry and AURORA. Ho. Ly. Crap. How I had I not heard of these humans before?! Their music is right up my ally, and I have both their stuff on repeat. Absolutely stunning musicians. Highly recommend you check out both of them.

    Star heard something. She crouched, inching forward to get a good look. There were two male tributes in the clearing, talking to one another. But she wasn't close enough. She crept closer... and a stick snapped beneath her foot. A curse came from her mouth.

    Phoenix. That was... close, but not quite right. There was another name, something similar. Someone Gravel knew. But... A girl with brown, asymmetrical hair. One eye was hidden. She wore black lipstick.

    TVG sighed. There were other versions of Castle Celeste that Thaidakar could find. Meanwhile, Gravel shook himself awake, unaccustomed to the strange experience of being beneath wakefulness.

    There was a castle. It was beautiful, sitting beside a lake, with gardens and a statue of a strange woman in the front. And the people who lived there... he knew them. He knew them somehow. They were familiar, yet nameless. A heavyset woman with blonde curls and blue eyes. A pale man with slanted eyes and fire for hair. And... a girl. A girl without irises or pupils.

    "Huh." Gravel sat down at a table and inspected those around him. This seemed like a nice place. And then he blacked out.

    "Oh dear... What's the witherlord? He sounds dangerous." Gravel was clad in leather, with black eyeliner. It suited him.
