  1. If boss themes had a final form it would be this
  2. Btw the new level 80 raids include a Nier Automata 24 man, and Eden, a Final Fantasy VIII raid. They had a Tactics/XII raid in Stormblood, and an Omega raid which included bosses from FFV, FFVI, and Chaos from FFI. Ivalice is a country in XIV. Garlemald invaded and basically destroyed most of it. The Lucavi exist as well, and Ultima the High Seraph. Also along with the Ascians each being named as a Scion of Light, each Imperial Legatus from Garlemald is based on a previous FF villain. Spoilers below:
  3. The third Night Angel book, Beyond the Shadows. I liked the first two, especially the villain in the second book, Godking Garoth Ursuul, but the third feels super rushed, with months going by in the span of pages. There was a Deus Ex Machina near the end and it was really poorly done, by introducing a new character and promptly dropping them 5 pages later for the sole purpose of telling the MC Kylar where he needed to go. One scene I had been waiting for since the first book was completely glossed over for more wacky Durzo/Kylar antics which were getting kinda dull at that point. Some characters from the second book didn't even get a line in the third one, just showing up in the background, and one of my favorite characters was basically forgotten about. It was a mess. Anathem by Neal Stephenson. I usually really like his books, but Anathem was way too convoluted and hard to follow.
  4. Bumping because OOOOH MY GOD THIS LOOKS AWESOME. Really like how they are starting to focus on the story behind Hydaelyn and Zodiark, and the new enemies called Sineaters.
  5. "I am Grahf, the seeker of power. Doth thou desire the power? My fist is the divine breath! Blossom, o fallen seed, and draw upon thy hidden powers!! Grant unto thee the power of the glorious 'Mother of Destruction'!" - Grahf from Xenogears
  6. I'm still playing Xenogears. Just got Bart's Andvari Gear which is freaking awesome looking, but I'm stuck on the Shakhan fight. He heals too fast and even though my gears are upgraded with the best available engines, frames, and armor I still can't do enough decent damage...I might switch Elly out for Maria or Citan. I'm also replaying Trails of Cold Steel on the PS4, and I just encountered one of the funniest conversations in any rpg I've ever played:
  7. Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. The very first line in the book got me hooked. "The moon blew up without warning and for no apparent reason." That is how you hook someone. It actually kinda reminded me of the first line in Elantris since it had the same impact.
  8. Xenogears. I haven't played it in years so it's a bit unfamiliar which is nice. I do remember the fight against Ramsus and Myyah early on being super tedious so I'm kinda dreading that.
  9. "In darkness blooms the Spider Lily..."
  10. Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. I love the premise of hyper advanced civilizations, especially when we get to learn how they came about.
  11. Ironically enough Lift IS that storming pure (since she gets nauseous around Nightblood) and breathes (belches) Stormlight to heal people. Anyways I saw this crempost on Reddits r/Stormlight_Archive this morning and had to share it:
  12. Reviving this today to show you the art for this game. Some of the best environments ever designed in a fantasy game:
  13. This thread literally has a quote from Brandon saying that the Cosmere is a Dwarf Galaxy/Star Cluster.
  14. This is a weapon I created for my main character in a series I'm writing (slowly) where people can manipulate certain powers in their blood. The main character can manipulate glass that forms from wounds, and he has a sword aptly named "Shatter" that is made of a very strong metal, but whose fuller is just an open hole. He uses his blood to fill the fuller with glass, and when he swings or hits someone, the glass in the fuller shatters, hurting the opponent (and the MC usually) even more. The sword is average looking with no real ornaments besides the hole where the fuller should be. Another I've thought of is a whip made of liquid mercury aka quicksilver. It can grow spikes on the end that lacerate skin for further damage. A warhammer with a pile bunker attached to the head, so when you swing and activate a button on the haft, a massive spike slams into whatever you are hitting.
  15. The Shard behind the avatar on Obrodai, or Obrodai in general. Its hinted to be a water planet and if it is, I'd love to see the type of Investiture there. The Dawnshards, and what really happened to Aimia. Is Kelsier alive? Gonna have to agree with the others: HOID The Shattering of course, and the weapon used to do it.
  16. Are Larkins possibly a mixed or artificial species? Because they are basically crab dragons with unique Stormlight (and I guess Investiture in general) absorbing powers. Or are they just a creature unique to Roshar that just happens to look a lot like a dragon? Maybe Honor (or Cultivation because feeding off Investiture sounds more like a power she would make use of) made them look like dragons on purpose since his vessel was originally from Yolen? Or it's possible they existed before the Shards got to Roshar.
  17. "A man will find a single coin in the mud and talk about it for days, but when his inheritance comes and is accounted one percent less than he expected, then he will declare himself cheated." - Hoid "The longer you live, the more you fail. Failure is the mark of a life well lived. In turn, the only way to live without failure is to be of no use to anyone. Trust me, I've practiced." - also Hoid (actually my favorite quote in all of literature)
  18. Good Dalinar theme. The Fused The Last Desolation
  19. This song I feel fits the Parshendi becoming the Fused.
  20. Moash. He really thinks he's doing the right thing, and that all men are irredeemable and unable to become better. He's the anti-Kaladin.
  21. Ah ok, was confused haha
  22. If this was in reference to my post, I know that lol. What I meant is that Brandon might've drawn some inspiration from the Kabbalah and Zohar when creating Adonalsium. There are lot of ideas in there that are eerily similar to each other. As I said, it's an observation, not a theory.
  23. Nightblood, Lift, Hoid, and Syl
  24. Thanks! Here's some more :^) both are Oathbringer spoilers, but I guess they could also technically be WoR spoilers
  25. "Mmmm...a powerful lie." Minor Oathbringer spoiler
