What are you playing right now?
Zurvanight replied to Link Von Kelsier Harvey's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Playing Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition on Switch. Much better than the original and armor glamour/fashion is life. They also added a ton of cool new armor, like the Prodigal set, and resort/beach sets (Fiora gets the Meyneth Monado skin for her weapons at a certain point which look really cool, and her beach set is very easy to get in Time Attack). I'm level 74 atm doing the sidequests before confronting Zanza. -
New battle theme for the epilogue of Xenoblade. Giving me Torna and Falcom battle impressions

Bumping because I got back into Enderal just to find out that SureAI is releasing Enderal's predecessor, Nehrim: At Fate's Edge on Steam next month. https://sureai.net/games/nehrim/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1014940/Nehrim_At_Fates_Edge/ Nehrim, like Enderal is a completely free total conversion mod. This one uses The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The developer confirmed both GotY editions work with Nehrim. Gameplay is similar to the old Oblivion (ew ...kinda) but instead of leveling your stats you get experience points like in Enderal, and can level up your abilities at a teacher like the Gothic series. The story goes that the Light Born, cruel gods that rule over the world of Vyn, will be overthrown by the Shadow God, Tel'Imaltath. You are possibly that supposed 'god' but others believe it refers to Narathzul Arantheal, son of Tealor Arantheal, a major character in Enderal. Narathzul, with the help of Merzul has established The Order and are leaders of the rebellion against the gods. Taking place on the continent of Nehrim, a land where magic is forbidden, you must help The Order defeat and overthrow the gods, and fate itself, in order for men to truly become free. The game is originally German, and unlike Enderal, it does not have English voice acting, but there is a fan project in the works for translating it, and the developer has expressed interest in adding it as free dlc or something. All text in game has been translated into multiple languages so you can still play. No actual release day has been announced but the developer has gone on the record to say that there has been no delays.

If you want to listen to one of the best game soundtracks ever then give Enderal a listen. A lot of the music is oppressive and dark, but the lighter themes are really good too. Sometimes I just stand in place and listen to the music while playing. This is Jespar Dal'Varek's theme, one of your traveling companions.

In Sen 2, I put Minotauros on Machias because of his regular attack being an aoe. I had a setup where Laura was already oneshotting any enemies I fought against, so Machias was just there to take down small mobs that bosses spawned without wasting CP. Rean could take down groups instantly with Gale, and fully recover all of his CP with his starting Master Quartz so I never changed it. Fie had an evasion build (not perfect) with Juggler Master Quartz. So she evaded like 3/4s of the time and inflicted a ton of status effects which was fun (stun grenade became a favorite of mine). In 3 I made Fie purely evasion with lots of counter quartz. Juna was an absolute monster though. All break quartz and damage multipliers. I think it was Skuld Master Quartz with Scorpio Submaster Quartz. -
query -> order[death] -> order[extermination] -> order[nothingness] -> order[destruction] -> order[termination] -> output {spacetime} ; If you ever wondered what singing Javascript would sound like. Ar Tonelico/Surge Concerto games use their version of programming language as music and it's really weird.

Ar Nosurge has fantastic music. I grew up playing Ar Tonelico and I'm glad this game has Hymnos music, but the battle music is also really good.

Not really a quote, but the poem at the beginning of Drakengard 3 is chilling. The first five stanzas are about the Five Sisters of Zero and their deaths by her hand. The second five stanzas are about Zero herself, the choices she makes and the end of the world. The flower mentioned is the main antagonist of Drakengard 3, also called the Black Flower, a god. The first stanza does have a bad word in it so I'll censor it, but you might be able to guess. "A thirstful wh••• with lips agasm Her web unspundled, left to blight A fortrace drowning in the blasm Her walls vansieged by falseful mite An anvil tyed by lock and lash Her works abounding like the hare An icy love by fire knashed Her tears for him a dulcy aere A farewell kiss from lealfast drake Her end a cork pulled from the wine Which falls in gemel angels' wake And reddens this, our dearthly stein Or will the flower splay her flaps Contract and birth a world defaced? Or will her thornish sword be snapt The flower broken for the vase? Or will the songstyr dance and scend A eulogy beneath her boots? The world will meet a tangled end Betwixt its voul, labrynthin roots"

Ar Tonelico was a really weird series, and the music was weirder. But sooo good. It's completely unique and the closest I've heard to another game ost sounding like this is Drakengard 3.

Takoyaki! (Fried dough balls with octopus inside). Texture is kinda weird but it's surprisingly tasty. Burgers. My friends and family don't even ask me anymore what I'm getting when we eat out (although can't do that anymore ;-;) because they know I am a burger fanatic. I really like a fried egg on top of my burger. Mushrooms! I love a good stuffed portabella.

Dunno, I do hope we get Ys IX before then. That game looks soooo good, and Ys VIII was amazing. -

A rare moment where the Evolution version of this track is better than the original. I honestly don't really like the original Castle of Illusions at all, but this is amazing and really pumps you up for the finale against Anima Mundi.

Both kinda. You will get sent places in the first game but won't be able to go back after a certain point, but you can explore the city and surrounding areas you are currently at anytime you want. Trista, the main hub town of the game you will be able to explore more often. Second game is more open and you can go back to early areas right up until near the finale. 3rd game repeats the first games formula, and I'm guessing (since I have not played it) 4 repeats 2's formula. -

As Eluvianii mentioned it's Hajimari pictures. Mostly of the new characters from one of the routes you can play. CS1 hooked me faster than Sky FC did. They throw you into the action pretty fast, but then it slows down considerably, then picks right up again, with the last half being really good. It's like a roller coaster. FC took forever to get good, but the reward was worth it. And yes, there are some pretty cringy eye-rolling anime trope moments, but the humor is actually pretty solid most of the time. -

I assume you mean this one? This is the only arrangement of Legend of the Five Great Dragons by JDK Band I've heard. I like it better than the original though. -
No this is not boss music, this is field music, as in music that plays while just wandering around the level. I especially love this arrangement because the violins and guitars go so well together.

Ys VIII The Lacrimosa of Dana. I haven't played a Ys since Ark of Napishtim. I'm loving this one a lot more.
