Reiner stood, almost shaking, he held the knife so tight, his entire hand was white now. "I– I don't know. I swear! Please, let me go..." His eyes turned from Janim to Aldred, and then towards Mutig, who had been studying the gang, deciding who he would take first. "Perhaps... I should be asking the question?" He said it calmly, almost honey coated. Reiner was squirming now, looking for a way out. Mutig set down his gold, and walked towards Reiner and Janim. "Of course, I am interested to know how Janim would dispatch him." He said it as if the entitled person wasn't right in front of them. @Invocation

Mutig followed the little girl and Chadwick, the mage had decided to stay as far as he knew. Interesting, how one with that sort of training uses it for light. When they got the group he looked them over. "I hope you didn't explore the place already, I was interested in knowing what was possibility my sleeping budy when I got here." He said it with an upbeat attitude, but he secretly dreaded what they might find. What I mean is you and I go get kenod and Mac's characters together. This way they have someone they already know, and presumably can trust. After that, we'd head after Steel, Sorana, Vargo, and Zinc as a small gang. @Turtle373

We find Fritz wrapped up in it's tendrils, slowly draining his life, that would leave anyone wanting payback on the thing. @ZincAboutIt

Mutig actuly laughed, shaking his head in amusement. "Ah your cute, impure." When he got control again, he looked Algorath, starring in a level manner into his eyes. "You said just yesterday you where different from your kind, but all I see is another impure trying to make himself look important. I personally, would be just fine if you left and was replaced by a bloodhound, at least they don't have the spine to think their the best. You claim that your senses are the best in this world, yet you missed not only me on the first night, but also a giant spider that's probably been here for awhile. Now you tell me how your the best here, because I think a dog would be better suited for these matters." He said it calmly, but with a hint of anger. does he not realize that lowly human could kill him before he blinked? Mutig rolled his shoulders. is that tar still there? He looked at Amara and Jügen. "Right, I will meet you there, secure a place for us and insure no one's taken that honey drink." Mutig walked along now, more or less accepting his change in luck. He heard people talking, someone had gone missing. He walked towards those talking, spoke briefly with them, mainly to offer encouragement, then set down his sack of gold and poured out a small amount of it. "My gift, may you find your loved ones." with that, he turned, noticing the group he'd been with, and with a sigh of resignation, he walked towards them. @Sorana @Steel Inquisitive @Vargo Seldon

Sorry about the spider, I realized I needed a reason to stay in the city, so I decided that I couldn't return to Brat. And as for the spider? Well I was planning on a wolf, but that's been overused by now, so I chose something no one's thought of yet. @ZincAboutIt

Mutig followed the noise until he was in an ally, near the lower sections of the city. where are you... A thud behind him sent Mutig spinning, ready to land a crippling blow to what had landed. He found himself staring at the face of a familiar spider, one he'd known for along time. She bounced back out of his reach and climbed, eyeing him cautiously. Finally, she spoke. "It was a long swim." Her voice was rough, like rocks being grinded together. Mutig recognized the phrase, "but you needed the walk." She calmed, dropping back down onto the ground, she had grown since they last met. She starred into his eyes with hers. "What do you want?" Mutig finally asked, "I know you didn't travel all the way here to talk." "I'm here on behalf of the village of brat. " she answered calmly, "they no longer need you to protect them." Mutig looked stunned. "But, what about the border? What are they going to do to stay safe?" " The attacks where stopped after an agreement was made, you disappear, we live in peace. " she said it calmly but her eyes said what he thought. "This is dangerous." Mutig couldn't believe his ears, one mistake had cost him this? "This is the only way, Bärin. You can not return to brat." Finally she looked down, unable to stare in his face anymore. "I am sorry." Mutig looked down, feeling a tear form behind his eyes, he looked at her again, "can I visit her grave?" They both knew who's grave he was talking about, the guardian that had taken them both in, though she had taken Mutig first. The spider didn't answer, confirming his fears. The spider placed its front legs on his shoulders, bringing them face to face. He could see she also was broken by this turn of events. "I am sorry," she whispered, "I will guard brat as best I can, but we both know it was you monster's feared." Mutig responded by placing his left paw gently on her head, and would soon outgrow that, making him have to stand on his hind legs. "Keep them safe... For her." he forced out of his mouth. They stepped back from each other, neither wanting to leave, but knowing they had to. The spider went down, into the lower sections of the city, she would leave at night, so as to not be noticed. He turned, walking in a daze, heading for the tavern. @Sorana @Steel Inquisitive @Vargo Seldon

Mutig nodded, then thought he heard something. A click, scraping? He felt curious, and looked inn the direction he heard it from. Immediately, he knew what it was. He looked at the group. "Sounds like a plan, how about you guys go ahead and I'll meet you there. I have something I need to take care of." @Sorana, @Steel Inquisitive, @Vargo Seldon

Mutig shrugged. "I will need to make my way back to Brat. But I can spare a couple days before leaving." He looked at them both, "Your free to come along, if you wish. I can can think of several people there who could use a master healer, as well as a master hunter." @Sorana @Steel Inquisitive @Vargo Seldon

Mutig answered the question, and the cleric frowned. "Mutig, you say?" She asked. "Is it, illegal?" Mutig asked calmly but firmly. "No." She said hurriedly, handing over the money in a sack, he took it in his mouth. He walked towards outside and found Amara and Jügen. @Sorana @Steel Inquisitive @Vargo Seldon
