  1. How is this ring helping the elims? The Second Ring: While a player is defending this layer, their vote is immune to manipulation. That only benefits village. Unless an elim really defends to prevent Moiraine from affecting them. And I was more curious who got negated on the Meta vote. With Randuir and I that means 2 of Cadmium Compounder, Amanuensis, Droughtbringer, Ark1002, and Mr Doctor got negated. @Ookla the Duck @Amanuensis @Droughtbringer @Ark1002 @Mr Doctor
  2. Once this is filled out would it be worth pinning it so everyone had easy access to it? In order to help guarantee new people are able to find out what's going on more quickly?
  3. So I know my vote got negated. I didn't mention it earlier just cause I didn't figure there was a point since it doesn't confirm anything. But just out of curiosity who else got negated out of Randuir, Cadmium Compounder, Amanuensis, Droughtbringer, Ark1002, Mr Doctor?
  4. Aginor couldn't have negated someone who defended, as defending this ring grants the effect of no vote manipulation(with the exception of the 20%). So if anyone didn't defend and had their vote negated they were targeted by Aginor. As far as numbers go we do know that a minimum of 6 successful defense actions went through. The named characters are able to sabotage as well as generic agents with the exception of Fain(to my knowledge. It says he can't submit actions on their behalf but I don't know if sabotage counts as one of those or not). So at most there were 4(or 5) sabotages if we go with what seems to be the general consensus of 5 elims. If all elims sabotaged that means we needed 10(or 11) defense. Counting Lan as 2, we would need 9(or 10) people to have defended. We had 17 living players who could submit actions. If every elim sabotaged, that would mean that 15 of those living players submitted defense related actions. We already know Rand didn't, and we have had a couple people claim today they didn't defend. With the number of inactives we have, some number of them probably didn't submit either. This leads me to assume that not the entire elim team sabotaged. Either due to some of them being inactive or just choosing not to. I don't have the time to try and math out the max number of sabotage actions that could have been submitted, but will hopefully do so by the end of the day.
  5. I dont anticipate numbers changing much in the next 20 minutes. So to ensure a lynch in the face of vote negation, ookla the cited
  6. There is a lot of stuff people are bringing up that I definitely missed when reading through posts. My analysis of wording and intent needs to be worked on, it seems. As I said, not a lot of time for analysis today, so I'll go with what Randuir suggested and post the 2 people I am most and least suspicious of. Reading through what people have written today makes me a bit suspicious of everyone, in different ways. Good points are brought up about Randuir, Fura, Rath, Mr Doctor, and BR. I don't know how to interpret all of those points into my own views though, so I'm still going to go with what has been my gut from the start. I am still most suspicious of Ark1002. I realize I keep voting on him, and then switching my vote for some other reason, but I still feel he hasn't given me a good reason not to be suspicious of him. This point, I feel applies to Ark as well. So a combination of everything still gives me that gut feeling. The player I'm currently most trusting of is Randuir. A lot of people have been bringing up points that helpfulness can be a great disguise for the elims to hide behind, but I still don't think I've seen any posts from them that make me feel like they are elim. Other players are much more experienced than me in these matters, and know Radnuir to have some basis for judgments of alignment, but this is just the feeling I get. I hope to be able to get on in a couple hours to vote, and hopefully read the further analysis posted as people come to their own conclusions.
  7. The message itself isn't what I was referring to I guess. More just the complete shift from last time. I assumed we would either get another legal document or we would have multiple players chiming in on game related things. I don't find anything supsicious about it.
  8. Hey everyone just checking in. Don't really have anything to add to the discussion. I agree with the comment about Seekers using the roster to avoid overlap.
  9. I'm not going to have a lot of time for analysis or anything today. Hopefully I'll get on for a little bit later to be able to get a vote in later on this evening. I understand there are going to be some people are going to be votong for me today, so hopefully I can post some sort of response to those accusations as well. Edit: One thing I'll point out, Emond's field message is interesting. Also Rand make sure to use your action to kill a Creeper today.

  11. I agree with Ookla the Fox. I like all of their proposals, and I think it is a pretty good way to work toward balancing power level. The discussion of Shardblades, I don't consider Shardblades to be the same as Spren. Obviously Shardblades used to be Spren, but they aren't now. There are only so many Shardblades out there, so needing approval before just having one seems fine to me. If people think Shardblades are fine to have then when asked for approval from a player they should be just as willing to allow that person to have it as they would be to not wanting the restriction to exist in the first place. Radiants wouldn't fall under the "I need approval for a Shardblade", because their Spren is the Shardblade, it isn't an item. Teleportation is too common, and too convenient of a get-out-of-jail-free card. Yes people with certain powers can do it, but everyone without those powers shouldn't be able to. It's not a very common ability in Cosmere, why should it be here. I agree with the idea of something like teleportation stations set up in prominent cities or planets for worldhopping. That allows people to get around without using it as their primary mode of transportation. I think at the very least, Fox's suggestions are the closest we've come to a unified thing during this whole discussion.
  12. I don't think anyone has come to a firm conclusion on Rath's vote negate. We've been discussing the possibilities however. 1) Village!Rath Defended. The 20% chance took out his vote. 2) Elim!Rath Sabotaged. The 20% chance took out his vote. 3) Village!Rath voted. Aginor decided to cancel his vote for some reason. 4) Elim!Rath voted. Aginor cancelled his vote in an attempt to get the village to trust him. Those are the possibilities, make of it what you will.

  14. Laonin looked Ishek over. He seemed curious about Hemalurgy. Not in a bad way, more as a concern for the evil of it. Laonin was pleased to hear that. Hemalurgy was an atrocity, the purest form of selfishness. Killing someone else for power, and willingly damaging your own soul to gain it. "Well, should we be off? We've got lots of work ahead of us." Saying this, Laonin continued on their way. After walking for a while, the building in question came into view. Although building was a strong word for it. The pile of rubble surrounding what remained of its first floor indicated that it had been large. Seeing it come into view, Laonin got a pep in his step. Finally, back to work. He approached what was left of the front door of the building, and looked inside. It was empty, quite unlike how it had been when he had last been here. There had been families here before, people with nowhere else to go. What had happened to them? Walking further inside, Laonin took a closer look around. There were still signs of the people who had been living here, refuse, and some small personal belongings. There was even a fire in the corner. They haven't been gone for long. Suddenly Laonin heard a noise in the corner, and turned to look. He couldn't quite make out what was there, in the shadows, so he crept forward carefully. He looked over the piece of rubble that was blocking his view of the area, and saw a small child, crying. As he walked around the rubble, the girl looked up at him and yelled, "No! Go away! You already took mommy!!!" As she said this she scrambled up and ran underneath a small worn out table, cowering. Laonin crouched down, and looked at the little girl. She was maybe 8 years old. She looked a little malnourished, but not too bad all things considered. Her clothing was pretty tattered, and she looked like she hadn't been clean in a long time. Laonin quietly said, "I didn't take your mother. I'm here to help you though. Can you tell me what happened to her?" The little girl continued to cry for a moment, but then wiped her face and looked up. "The bad men took her. They came in, and they said everyone needed to come with them. I had been playing hide and seek with mommy when they walked in so I was hiding over here. So she told me to keep hiding and went with them. Uncle Bobby tried to tell them to go away, but they hit him and carried him off anyway. It scared me a lot." Laonin looked over by the doorway, and noticed a little pool of blood he had missed before, hopefully the man was ok. "I'm sure your mother is fine. Do you have any other family?" The little girl concentrated for a moment, "No, I don't think so. It's just mommy and me and uncle." Laonin moved a little closer. "In that case, you need someone to take care of you until your mother returns. Do you want to come with me? I've got some food, and a nice warm house you can stay in while I find her?" "No. Mommy told me not to go with strangers. Especially if they offer me food. She told me to wait here for her, so I'm going to. I can take care of myself. Uncle Bobby taught me how." As she said this, she pulled out a small butter knife. "See, I can fight pretty good too." Laonin looked troubled, "I'm sure you can. Are you sure your mother wouldn't want someone to watch over you for now? It's dangerous out here all alone." "Uh-huh. She told me to stay, so I am. She'll be back soon anyway. She promised." Laonin stood up. Reaching into his bag, he pulled out an apple and a sandwich. He had planned on eating these for lunch. "How about I just leave these with you then. I know your mother said not to trust someone who gives you food, but I'll just leave it here in case you get hungry. I'll be back." as he said this he set the food on top of the table the girl was huddled under. Walking back out the door, Laonin gestured to his companions. "Do either of you have any idea who would have taken the people from here? I know there are some gangs that operate around here, but they usually don't do something like this. I don't know why they would want to capture a bunch of starving homeless people." @King Taravangian @Ookla the Ookspren
  15. While I agree Rath could likely be village, don't throw away the possibility that Aginor intentionally negated Rath's vote in order to make him seem village. I'm not saying that's the case but don't immediately trust it without other good evidence. Wouldn't want an elim to be "proven" to be village and then be safe the whole game because of it.
  16. He was probably told in PM. The GMs have told me my defend actions have been successful that way.
  17. Well. It took all of my self control to turn my phone off for an hour so I could stop looking at it, in a mix of anticipation and fear. I'm truly sorry Snipexe. I accept that in 48 hours I will almost surely be the next lynch. I will continue to post my analysis in that time, however. In the hopes that once I am lynched and am revealed to be village people can read back on it and take it for what it is. To go back to my post that started the whole thing in the first place, given that Snipexe was village, that gives us a couple clues as to the elim team composition. As a few people agreed with me before the lynch vote, the odds of Fain not using his action to kill Snipexe was not very likely. I feel that this indicates one of our inactive players is Padan Fain, or the elim team in general is not very clear on the rules so they didn't catch the same connection as I did. It is also entirely possible that the elim team decided not to take out Snipexe, and were going to slowly try to point this fact out to get us to mis-lynch him, which ended up happening without them needing to interfere. This is all I have the heart to write at the moment, as it's late and I am emotionally drained. I still intend to participate in discussion tomorrow, though I assume most people won't trust anything I have to say. Again, I'm sorry I was the driving force behind this lynch, and I hope I don't lose you all the game because of it. Also worth noting, no votes were negated again. Not even by the Ring defense. So that's a thing. I look forward to seeing all the comments people make when I wake up in the morning. Interested to see how quickly I get stomped on. Sorry if this sounds too sad, I'm just very tired and should probably be sleeping. Good night.
  18. Ok. I can confirm then that Fifth just PMd me to confirm that Fain would kill Rand, and prevent the Protect action from the Green Man. This means that if Snipexe was Rand, and Fain tried to kill him, he would have died.
  19. I completely understand and agree that if he is village I am probably going to be lynched. I am feeling less confident about my theory now, but if I back down it will probably look even more suspicious. So I'm sticking to it even if it gets me killed. At least if you guys lynch me now, you'll probably be more inclined to suspect him next time? Who knows. Also, I just realized it might be against the rules for me to quote something from a pm. Sorry. I'm very frazzled right now.
  20. Knowing he is Fal Dara still doesn't prove anything about his alignment. Rand, village, elim, or Forsaken could all be in there.
  21. If Fain targets a Hardy player who has already lost one life, will that player die? Unless Fain is roleblocked, yes. See the bottom of page 4 of this
  22. Fifth said that if Fain targeted someone that was Hardy that had already lost a life, the extra life would go away. In essence, you are currently living your extra life. So if you lose it, you have no lives.
  23. Snipexe was Hardy, which means he has an extra life. If Fain targets him, he loses the extra life, and dies. It's the one way that Fain could kill someone, since he can't normally kill.
