Well, nightblood is orders of magnitude more magical than a shardblade. Nightblood is about 1000 Breath, Divine Breaths are around 2000, so shardblades are too puny to be splinters.

Size also matters in terms of 'how much Ruin can influence you'. Combined with spikes having a maximum capacity, it seems quite sensible to assume that size actually does matter, but you aren't going to get enough power just by killing a single person to fill any sensibly sized spike.

Well, kandra are basically just big piles of muscles. Storing atium inside a kandra protected it from being pushed/pulled... don't really see why the stuff beneath the muscles would necessarily change that.

You also need to flare the metal for a period of months to a year... The time investment is nontrivial, especially with how fast it burns. Having to spend time with an aluminum feeding tube is not my idea ofagood time.

Aluminium only allows for purification at the far edge - IE: if you're an aluminum savant. I don't think the price of becoming a savant is a fair tradeoff really.

There are tons of metals you can burn that have effects on you. They aren't allomantic metals though because 'you die' isn't a very well-appreciated effect.
