  1. Note that a lifeless CAN return, and you end up with a 'drab god'.
  2. Well, nightblood is orders of magnitude more magical than a shardblade. Nightblood is about 1000 Breath, Divine Breaths are around 2000, so shardblades are too puny to be splinters.
  3. I think that 'Yes and No' is 'Endowment has a counterpart, yes, but it isn't a perfect one like Ruin and Preservation have'.
  4. Well, aparently Brandon is going to try to match each book to one of the ten orders. I think that means that Taln isn't going to be a windrunner.
  5. Size also matters in terms of 'how much Ruin can influence you'. Combined with spikes having a maximum capacity, it seems quite sensible to assume that size actually does matter, but you aren't going to get enough power just by killing a single person to fill any sensibly sized spike.
  6. Well, this reddit quote all-but-confirms it (Emphasis added)
  7. It *could* just be properly applying electricity, but that seems a little boring.
  8. I think this chapter has the most thorough description of kandra anatomy.
  9. Well, kandra are basically just big piles of muscles. Storing atium inside a kandra protected it from being pushed/pulled... don't really see why the stuff beneath the muscles would necessarily change that.
  10. The original Dragonsteel was Brandon's thesis novel at BYU. First cosmere book, part of a planned series. There's one copy available in existence. Several elements have been ripped out of it for other books, like the stormlight archive's shattered plains; it'll have tons of rewriting before it becomes published. Because of the low availability, possibility of spoilers, and non-canon status, dragonsteel is currently [REDACTED], and as such any conversations should avoid mentioning [DELETED] or [EXPUNGED].
  11. Or that they feel like idiots.
  12. There. Magic in mistborn breaks thermodynamics
  13. I thought wild chalklings could be destroyed, and they were just constantly spawning from the tower.
  14. And the mad scientist question was in response to this one: So basically yeah becoming an aluminum savant is basically impossilbe under normal circumstances.
  15. You also need to flare the metal for a period of months to a year... The time investment is nontrivial, especially with how fast it burns. Having to spend time with an aluminum feeding tube is not my idea ofagood time.
  16. Aluminium only allows for purification at the far edge - IE: if you're an aluminum savant. I don't think the price of becoming a savant is a fair tradeoff really.
  17. Yeah basically you just need to be MAD SKILLED with bronze.
  18. Just swallow your whole reserve. It's not going to escape your stomach.
  19. There are tons of metals you can burn that have effects on you. They aren't allomantic metals though because 'you die' isn't a very well-appreciated effect.
  20. Ruin definitely needed Vin to be a mistborn with a sister who was a seeker.
  21. I guess it was just made out of his cognitive...stuff, so that makes sense. Weird that it'd have an influence on the amount of god metals...
  22. Well, they could be subsets. Like Preservation -> Canning Vegetables or something. But yeah I think Nightblood is probably at the point where his intent is 'Destroy Evil'.
  23. I dunno let me check my pewterminds.
