  1. 8 is most definitely my favorite.
  2. For the good of all us of except the ones who are shattered. (sorry, Adonalsium)
  3. I played Crackdown until four in the morning the other night.
  4. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction with this conversation.
  5. Hi, I'm Silus, I'm here a lot. Nice to see you. Always good to have a new perspective on things. I dabble on the theory boards and make a nuisance of myself all over the place, but mainly I run the Nexus RP.
  6. I misunderstood your question, I thought you meant do I see a scroll bar on a wiki, any wiki. I thought you were looking for a general tendency, rather than a specific inquiry. Also, downvoting is not nice. And, no, I do not see a scroll bar.
  7. That is very, very plausible. I'd disagree on the point that swords have a lot of positive cultural symbolism behind them, but then again, knowing Brandon, that might be just the kind of thing he would subvert. But the question arises, what about the nature of the threat would lead Honor to do something so radically extreme in order to arm his champions?
  8. Possibly, I'd say it depends on how much of a hand Skai had in Dakhor.
  9. If there's a big ol' picture someone on it, sometimes.
  10. I really like this theory. But I'd say it's not that there's eight exact matches, but eight "positive" Shards and eight "negative" Shards, and you have to pick up one of each to have them cancel out.
  11. The only real assumption we can make is that half (at least) of both our assumptions and the characters assumptions are wrong. The only problem is guessing which half.
  12. The only way that tFitS could be Honor is if someone has taken up Honor in Tanavast's place. Some people say that Jezrien has done this, but I don't know.
  13. I agree with Green Hoodie Mistborn, it's a good theory and makes a lot of sense apart from that fact.
  14. It really depends on who exactly named the blade that. If it's one that's lasted since the time of the Heralds, then it might be important, but if it's one that it's gained by reputation or given to it by an owner since then, probably not. Then again, you have to keep an eye out for symbolism, it's hard to tell when it will or will not play a part in the story. Then there's the fact that now
  15. So can we rule out the face in the storm as being Honor, then? I don't know enough about how third person vs first person tenses work both on Roshar and on a Shard scale to judge whether or not the FitS calling Kaladin a Child of Honor rules him out as actually being Honor. It really is an odd situation from all angles.
  16. Indeed. Happy Birthday, regardless, Emeralis!
  17. I'd say it's a crazy-random-happenstance.
  18. Sara Janae Lundgreen and Cara Lundgreen have their birthday on the same day? Huh, you'd think they're twins or something. ;)

  19. Who wants to go see the last Harry Potter with me on opening day? 11 am, 6.25 a ticket! Quick! I want to get it now!

  20. I'd like to announce that I am now nineteen years old!
  21. What I want to know is if they could communicate with their double, and what exactly the double represents. Is it their past self? An alternate version of themselves? If it's your past self, and could communicate with them, you could find your double of a particular moment and ask them questions. Didn't get a good luck at a criminal mastermind's base while you were raiding the place and need clues? Gold to rescue!
  22. I doubt that using the two phrases (Child of Tanavast, Child of Honor) actually means two different things. You've probably heard someone refer to someone or something with two descriptive phrases one right after the other. Something like, I don't know, "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears!"
