    People Never Change

it's great! the colours, the words, it fits perfectly!
  5. Lena shrugged. "It's fun. And it offers me the possibility to try some ... things out." She grinned at him and took his arm, when they were outside. "Let's check if there's someone at the scholar's guild. And if there isn't I'll cook some dinner. What would you like to have?"
  6. Mike paled when Lusk arrived, but hurried to answer his question. "Mr. Itiah got assassinated, sir." He explained, as if the corpse wasn't explanation enough. Then he walked over to Mari, looked at the girl she was talking to. Slowly he stopped in the girl's back, cutting of her way to escape. He hoped, that he was looking brave and strong, like a Ghostblood was supposed to do, while internally he was cringing at the thought that Lusk was here. Lusk. He wondered what he might do, once he learned of Mike's refusal of the promotion, and he knew he should be afraid, but it was only that. The knowledge, but no fear. Only the urge to hide, but without the fear it felt almost empty. @I think I am here. @AonEne
  7. "The last time a new company set up in this city they invaded it shortly afterwards." Her voice turned icecold. "My plan is to try to prevent this." "Let's check if they accepted us on their little team?" She suggested, when she saw the commotion, heard people start talk to each other about the fact that they had been chosen. She knew, that the decision to take her along was political and not about her skills, or at least not only about her skills. "You said, you're talking to your earring and cleaver. Did their personalities change? Do they sometimes are in a bad mood and you have to help them?" Brashen hissed at her ear at her question, easily understanding, that she was indirectly asking for a second opinion, maybe a different view on a situation. There was a large gap between an awakened object and her spren, but sometimes changing your points of reference changed the whole picture.
  8. Mike straightened, looked around. "The Violin player is gone. And they told me, that they weren't a Ghostblood, but invited for a special occasion." He paled when he connected the different thoughts. "They might be included. On the stage, they had the best position to shoot him." His eyes fell on a girl, that was staring at them guiltily. "Don't you think, that she looks suspicious?" he asked quietly Mari and the others above the corpse. @kenod @Sherlock Holmes @That Violin Guy @bees?
  9. I won't even use a pencil So you could join me on the bench for participants with no drawing skills.
  10. "Sure." Shana forced herself to smile and packed the balloons to the candles. "We'll need some swimming candles for the pool." Wordlessly she lifted some confetti for him to take a look at.
  11. Mike nodded. "Can you see the dart?" He asked Tena, "or whatever caused the other wounds? As large as they are, something should be left. We saw the corpse the whole time, they didn't take anything away." Still he didn't move closer, there were enough around Mr. Itiah already. He was dead. Somehow it was hard to grasp. As if he was alone, as if nobody was here with him. Nobody to catch him, to slow down his fall. @kenod @Sherlock Holmes @That Violin Guy
  12. "An assassination." Zokora replied to Tena and shook her head. What a mess. An assassination at their gala. Again. Were they never able to have a party without somebody blowing up the place? "Can you help them to look into this?" @Sherlock Holmes Mike followed Mari to the corpse. "Hi. I'm Mike." He introduced himself and then shook his head. "Yeah, I suppose you know that, after earlier." He looked down at the corpse. "They shot something at him. Maybe we can find a projectile." Paling he looked at the destroyed body. "He saved me once. And his last memory is me shouting at him." he whispered and stared at what remained of Mr. Itiah.
  13. Mike watched Wes run away, leaving him behind like that, and something in him broke. He had hoped to talk to Wes, ask him a few questions. Not that it mattered. They all didn't care anyway. Why should they? He was nothing but an Underling. If Ark had heard his words, he was as good as dead anyway. Slowly he drifted over to a group around the Righthand's assistant, reluctantly followed her gesture to come over. ==================== Zokora nodded at those in front of her. "Find out who was behind this." She commanded calmly. "Mike over there, can contact me, should you need a higher ranking person. Otherwise I trust you, to take care of this." For a moment she looked at them. "I suppose you get started." @kenod @Sherlock Holmes @That Violin Guy
  14. Her face softened the slightest bit when she accepted his compliment with a grateful incline of her head. "I've often found, that beauty lies in the eye of the one speaking." She stated and looked at his earring and cleaver again. "Maybe the fact that you interact and communicate with them adds to them having a conciousness. Like a mind withers, if it isn't trained." "As to my bond," pensively she tapped her fingers against her ellbow. The number of her oaths was less important than the fact, that she was an Elsecaller, but if he didn't know, she'd prefer to keep it like that. "I think, you might see that once we're in the tunnels. But as you have been very open with answering questions, I will answer like that: I am very proficient with my surges." In the end that might be more important than the oaths. At least when it came to judging her threat level. "Why do you go down there?"
  15. "I hope so." Lena replied and tried to remember when Mart's school finished today. Then she had to check which time it was. "He should be by now, maybe doing some homework?" She sighed when took in his tired appearance and offered him a small, white pill. "Harmless. It will kelp you be more alert when go the guild. I doubt you want to appear weak there." Alternatively he could start drinking coffee, but the pill would be fast and stronger than any coffee brewed in most taverns. "It's not healthy what you do." She stated without any concern in her voice. He was old enough to ruin his body, if he wanted to.
  16. Have so much fun!!!!! Shana quickly typed back.
  17. Well, if any medium is allowed, I might join in for one or two...
  18. Mike heard a commotion and when he turnedaround, he saw Mr. Itiah, dead. "He's been assassinated." he stated quietly, felt snake stir in glee when she watched the scene. Mr. Itiah was dead. It felt like fate, like the real, the good thing to happen. It was great, finally, finally it was over, he was gone. He had been the only one who had cared for him. The one who had looked after him after the spiking. He had been the one he went to, when he betrayed Bella. He had been the only superior he'd trusted. Slowly he moved backwards, tried to find someone, he knew, but they were all on the stage. Not that it mattered. If he was the one to die, he would be dead already. ================= Zokora saw the dart, watched Mr. Itiah slump on the the stage and started giving orders. "Lock down the hall." She said quietly, and waited until her order was oked, until their guards started their work. Then her eyes quickly moved over those that attended the celebration. With a quick gesture she asked some of them to come over. She had to put someone in charge, and she had to deal with some other things first. Making sure the other member got away safely, that the news of this were communicated in an easy an professional way. @AonEne @That Violin Guy @Ark1002 @kenod @Sherlock Holmes @I think I am here.
  19. @Archer ==================== @AonEne Sagitta was silent for a while, thought about the words and then it clicked. It was easy, so incredibly easy. "Something is wrong with your powers." She stated. "That's why you ask about ours. They are changing and you have no idea what's going on." She tilted her head back and laughed. A bitter, crazy laugh. "You don't care about us, you loose your powers and you don't even really know what I mean when I refer to the stars. We are just a neccessitiy, you have to talk to, because you, the gods have no idea what is going on." Shaking her head she looked at the two of them, unable to really grasp, talking while she tried to give words to her thoughts, to get them into some shape worth using. " I can assure you, that none of us knows that as well. We barely managed to stop slicing at each other throats. You are gods. You are supposed to know, and even if you don't care - shouldn't you at least respect what we do, or leave us alone completely?" She fell silent, looked at Sensation. Her next words were grave. "Do you know that some Ta'e'iloans celebrate the day you gave us our name? When Sensation saved us and offered us the stars? That so many die for that name?"
