Shana heard the voices, more enemies coming. She felt weak, wished again that she'd spoken more oaths, that she would heal more quickly. But she knew, that none of the othere trained enough to face something like that. She inhaled sharply, trusted on the stormlight to allow her to keep going and gently pried Ben's hands away from here. "I love you." She told him quietly, leaned forward and kissed him, then she reached out for two bags full of gems and tied them to her belt. She felt good. Really good. Ben's healing was great. With a final squeeze of his hand she turned around, faced the mass of enemies. "Can you check on Evelyn? She's standing around clueless, and that's dangerous."She asked him and then took a first step, then a second one. Step after step she rushed forward, picked up her blade while walking. Cass was bound by a tall man and Shana slickened her feet, rushed over and cut one of in half, she used Division to make it easier to yank free her blade. "Watch Cass." She called to Mahad and looked at the blood covering her body. It was her role, it was what she was supposed to do. She trained daily for this moment, kept fit and in shape, trained with a weapon. Fight for them. Kill for them. And so she did. ============

Shana continued to hold on to Cass hand, vaguely felt herself end up on the ground. Bad habit. She had stop catching every blow with her body. Tiredly she closed her eyes, listened to their voices, how they talked about staunching the bleeding. About fetching someone. Tiredly she closed her eyes, the pain felt as if from far away and she started to drift off, to let go. Warmth flooded her body and she recognized the hand, knew that Ben was here and she smiled, moved until she was leaned against him. He was saving her again. Bad habit as well. She had to save him. Shana opened her eyes when the light subsided, when the pain was gone. It felt good. Incredibly good. "Hey Ben." She whispered, tightened her fingers around Cass. "Sorry." She wasn't sure why she apologized, for getting hurt, for failing again. "Thank you." She added. "For being here." @AonEne @Lunamor

Shana stepped forward to take her arm, vision bluring. January. Of course it was cold. The knife hurt when she walked, but Cass's arm was there and she leaned on her heavily, felt her stormlight continue to heal her. The knife, if it stayed where it was, it her flesh might close around it. Reaching to her side she pulled it out, the pain robbing her breath, more blood running down her legs. So... much... blood... Her legs gave way and she tried to hold on to Cass to remain standing, but her fingers felt weak, unable to do more than hold on a little.

Shana gave a weak smile. "Missed one moving behind me." She leaned on her weapon, swayed slightly. "Ben can patch me up, and then we can spar." Tiredly she closed her eyes. "It's cold isn't, it?" She asked, wondered if they could light their fireplace.

So I will get the rating up somewhere in about 10 hours, I can't do that while sitting in a car. As for the discussion about his motives and behaviour, please move that to the character discussion thread. Thanks =============== Here's the rating: Investiture: Twinborn A-Chromium (35) // F-Steel (50) Skills: Guns-skilled (60) Combat awareness, spotting criminal oddities (Scholarship 'Police-Officer' average 10 // took the liberty to combine both into one skill and lowered the points a little) Equipment: Aluminum-alloy shotgun, aluminum-alloy bullets, metalminds (steel bracers piercing his skin, steel replacement bone), aluminum police phone, police hat (it's lined with aluminum), police car. Can requisition an aluminum-alloy sniper rifle body armor (10) Aluminum is pretty easy to come by, so I won't substract any points for this. Still I'd like to ask you to rp this equipment in a responsible way, and should it come to a battle please keep in mind, that equipment can be lost or damaged. I assumed that his replaced bone is in no place that is helpful (like an unbreakable arm). Should that be the case please let me know. Weakness: Suspicious of non-police. Extreme hatred for people who do not respect the authority of the police. (-5) Favors fighting over other solutions. (-10) Total: 85 + 80 + 10 + 10 - 15 = 185 - 15 = 170 The character is a little too strong. Please either add more weaknesses, or reduce his skills. Addionally I'd like to ask you to make sure you adress people's concerns regarding him being part of the police force. @I Rashek

Shana stumbled over to Cass, placed a hand on her arm. She was pale, her back felt strangely warm from the blood running down and at the same time she started to feel cold. "Can someone put him in manacles, blindfold him and get him into the cellar?" She asked loudly, still looking at Cass. "Do you want to talk?" She offered quietly. "Or train?" Training always helped her when she was feeling bad.

Sagitta turned back, looked at Zura and then at him again. "Because this war will go on forever if nobody takes a first step." She saw the strangers held in check by Price guards, the threat of violence gone for now. She saw him consider her words and focused on him completely. "When we sat by the carriage, there was peace. I don't know why it changed, what happened or how we ended up here." She took a deep breath. "But I know, that this moment was the future. A possibility." Intensely she looked at him, poured everything she had into these words. "Something has to change. The war can't last forever. It will destroy us all." "You ask why you should protect her." Her eyes darted back to Zura. "Because you are a good man. Strong enough to take that first step." Falling silent she watched him, hoped he would allow himself to be convinced. She had on last ace in her sleeve, a backup should he decline again. But it was desperate and as desperate ideas went, not really good.

Shana shot him a quick smile, looked at the hurt Voidbringer. "Capturing sounds great." She agreed, tried to forget the fact, that she'd just killed another human. She pointed at the ground. "Go ahead. I will cover you, and slicken his feet and legs." Without looking away from the Voidbringer she added for Nym. "They are human. Influenced but human. We have to try to find a way to undo this." @Aragorn

Shana felt alive, the stormlight inside of her a welcome firestorm, her movements quick and secure. She arrived at the Voidbringer and lifted her two-bladed staff, slammed it deep into the side of the Voidbringer. The Voidbringer hissed in response and slashed at her arm. Shana easily accepted the blow, felt the blood run down her arm. It left her in a perfect position to trap the Voidbringer between her at Cass, and she - A blade stabbed her from behind and she screamed in pain. Blood ran down her side when the Voidbringer turned the handle of his knife around and pain seared through her, black spots dancing in front of her eyes. A hand reached out for her should, clomped down painfully. It closed around her throat and she instinctively reached out for it, tried to pry it away from her throat. The stormlight added to her strength and she tried to get it off, but she was too weak. She was fifteen, and the Voidbringer was a fully grown man. Gasping for air she reached for the storm inside and closed her fingers around the hand suffocating her. She reached for the storm, for her fear and fury for the fire spurning her on, heard Rob scream again, her own screams unhearable due to missing air and she pushed it all over. The hand glowed in an eeried reddish blue light, when she ripped the body apart, when she turned it into nithing but a pile of charred bones on the ground behind her. Blood continued to run down her back and leg, but she was able to breathe again and so she did, gasped for air although her throat seemed to be aflame.

Althea gave a curt nod at Wes. "Unknown creature in the air above us." She informed him, saw him step closer when she heard his name repeated as well. He was nervous, afraid looked incredibly young with the shadows their headlamps cast and she deliberatly softened her voice a little. "I figured you'd be safer with or prefer to be close to a group than standing alone in the darkness, given that we don't know what it is. No order, Wes." Maybe that made him relax a little. If he took her literally and wandered off, hopefully he didn't. She made a mental note to find out who'd trained him, speak with that person. There were always those that took their positions a bit too seriously. But without further information there was no way to judge the situation. She tilted her head and listened intently, then took another sphere and threw it straight up into the air. For the blink of an eye she could see a mass of strange forms, then her sphere fell down again. A swarm maybe. If so, they could be in great danger. Max reply distracted her for a moment and she quickly send him her memory of the whole wall. None of me. She replied and heard another voice, quiet, so quiet that it was only a whisper, the words barely understandable. Max. Best strategy against a nearly invisible flying mass of enemies? Can imitate sounds, further characteristics unknown.

Hey, So a few quick questions: what type of body armor does he use, how strong is it? And the steel bone replacement: was only one bone replaced or the whole skeleton?

============= Lowering his head at Lusk's reprieve regarding time, Mike swallowed, glad to see that Nila and Mari both started to act. He should have known better than to try to wrestle control from a Triarchy member. Stupid Mike, stupid. Mike nodded quickly. "I can take a window and get in through the sides." He hastened towards the tavern and used his knife to quietly unlock one of the windows. Then he leaned against the wall, pretended to check his mobile while he waited for Lusk to give the signal. @I think I am here.

Temeria couldn't help herself, she felt sorry for him. She'd been in his spot, the first line was the one sent to death. Contrasting him, she'd been lucky. At least one of us isn't a disappointment, then. Which weapon did you fight with? She replied, shook her head. Did it still matter so much to him what their mother thought? Temeria was done with that, had left it behind. Her mother was her mother. And despite everything, Temeria loved her, as she loved her father. Could you tell them that I live?

"We call the species Kalea. It's a little seeker." Althea explained and was about to explain more, when someone called her name. Slightly annoyed she turned around in time to see Allri leave Wes alone, walk over to Corette. Otherwise, nothing. Nobody. She listened into the cave again, but couldn't detect anything out of place over the noices of the members of their expedition. Turning back to Myriad she was about to finish her sentence, when she heard Karin adress her from the side. The side where Karin wasn't standing. Instinctively Althea inhaled, her body lighting up with stormlight and she was glad, that she was still wearing her sunglasses. A hint of fear made her heart beat faster while she tried to discern anything in the darkness around them, but she had no chance. Not with her sunglasses covering her eyes. Everything below their lights seemed pitch black to her. "We aren't alone." She stated calmly. "It, or they, can imitate voices. Other abilities, as well as appearance, species or intelligence is unknown." She made sure her voice sounded exactly like before, hearable to those standing around. If it was able to imitate sounds, maybe it could interpret them to. Better to cover up on the fact, that she was speaking about it. Still she made a gesture towards the Underling to come closer, knew that he could easily miss it if he wasn't looking into her direction and set Brashen to observe him. There was no way that she'd loose an Underling to whatever it was. And her gut told her, that this, whatever it was, wasn't entirely harmless. Her hand closed around a lit sphere and she threw it in an high arc into the darkness. Something moved, high above them, hushed away into the dark when the glowing sphere came close. It indicated a smaller sized creature, one able to navigate quickly. "Above." She glanced upwards, still unable to see anything and then gave up, instead she tried to listen. It was hard, there were so many people, moving around, talking, books scrapping over stone, the waterfall still hearable. Althea closed her eyes completely, listened instead. Breathing, water, cloths rustling and there, like water, but irregularly. "Wings. It can fly and it sounds like a swarm." @ZincAboutIt @kenod @I Rashek @I think I am here. @TrailRunnin @Rushu42 @Oduim’s Chmapion @Voidus @Invocation @xinoehp512
