    Althea would have loved to join the rest on the dancefloor, but sadly her narrator had been sleeping. Surprised Althea looked at Night, when he came back from the dance floor. He was asking her to dance? Nobody asked her for a dance, from her experience people prefered to walk away from her. Remembering her lessons she nodded and then curtsied. Afterwards she offered him her hand to lead her to the dance floor. "Of course. I would love to dance with you." It had the additional advantage, that they would be able to talk more freely there. @PrinceDusty

    I'm not posting for the upvotes this is fun. (Not that I won't take them though xP ) I don't know the other one, sry. And I only know the book. That was a hard one, I decided to interpret a bit, and focused on the, in my opinion, central conflict, although that blured the plot. It's not perfect, but I'm not really sure how to better represent the plot. A bounty hunter wants to buy a pet, but ends up drawn into a philosophical conflict about the soul of his targets. Edit: Forgot the next book/ movie. The phantom of the opera, because I like it. And the musical is great.

    Yes it is. The new movie counts to my favourite ones at the moment. Smuggling beer he won a bet, a bride, escaped justice and learned nothing. Since we're stuck with movies, how about "From dusk till dawn"?

    I liked the book, but I never saw the film, since everybody told me it was terrible. What about: Pride and Prejudice?

    I only know the book And I added the other one to my "to-read" list. So I would sum it up like: An orphan convinces a ghost to stop a ticking clock from destroying the world. I am Legend by Richard Matheson (the book not the film)

    Wow, that was harder than I thought initially. I'm not sure if I got that right. They oppose the evil sorcerer and destroy the hidden parts of his soul including himself. So MB Era 1. I hope most should know it

    I second that proposition. If you've enjoyed "The young elites" you could also try out - The truth series by Dawn Cook (High fantasy, "brighter" than the young elites, but I liked it, YA) - The fifth season by N.K. Jemisin. (High Fantasy, also a very dark setting and a really strong female protagonist, and it was one the series that touched me deeply. There's also a lot of character development involved and a interesting magical system. You should definitly try it.) - Lightbringer Series by Brent Weeks (a part of the protagonists are woman, and I think it's brilliant, the plot, the characters, everything) -Cold Magic by Kate Elliot (classical high fantasy with solid world building and a good set of interesting characters, I liked that the main protagonist (a woman) is strong willed and chooses her own path to follow)

    Althea observed him, how he moved to put her between him and someone else. "Yes I am. I've been studying." She replied curtly, unwilling to give anything more away on that topic. Unsure how much he knew about the plans of the council. They would have informed him if he needed to know. Stepping closer she lowered her voice: "Are you in need of assistance?" @PrinceDusty

    Althea stepped up to the hall and handed her invitation over. The man shrank back when he met her cold and stern glance, but then announced her anyway. "Althea. Ghostblood." She stepped into the room, observing those that had already arrived. A slight smile ghosted over her lips as she scanned the room. It was evening and although the room was lit by candles, the sun wasn't able to reach it anymore. Removing her sunglases she carefulls stowed them away. This was going to be an interessting evening. She greeted the council respectfully and then walked over to Night. It would only be polite to greet him as well. With an respectful incline of her head she adressed him. "Good evening. I don't think we've met so far. I'm Althea." Carefully watching for his reaction to her outer appearance she let her red eyes rest on him, strands of white hair falling around her face. @PrinceDusty
