  1. Thank you. You're right and there is this rational part of me that knows this, but sometimes there is this urge to simply take my laptop and hit him square with it. And this meeting left me speechless. Being hindered in my own job is one thing, but something like that, I don't know. And I'm not sure if the fact, that my boss closes her ears is the worst part of this mess. Yeah, I'll stay calm and professional and simply be better.
  2. And I lost again
  3. "So what do you think of waiting to see, if he decides to leave? Before we start fighting each other?" she asked, ignoring the part about stopping her attack on Mac. That she wouldn't do. @kenod
  4. "We're not stopping him from leaving, we're trying to get him to leave." she replied and wished she never had decided to attend this ball. This chaotic mess of something. She hadn't even danced once. "So why don't we decide not to attack each other and you can leave with Mac, when he decides to leave?" she proposed. @kenod
  5. Hello and welcome to the shard!
  6. Althea shot a quick look at the man that landed next to Night and therefore close to her, her eyes still focused on her green powder. "No, I'm not." @Dwig Jigdens she replied, although she wasn't sure if he was talking to her aswell. It didn't really matter, and she didn't pay close attention to him, because there it was, movement. Her trick with the smoke-like powder seemed to work. "There you are." she told no one in particular and breathed in some stormlight. She definitly wasn't the best fighter around, but she knew her surges. Reaching with her mind back into Shadesmar she grasped at the stone and the earth under Mac's feet, and then changed it into dust, so that the stone and the earth around formed a pit for him to fall into. Then she turned her green powder into fire. Hopefully, that would buy them some time. @MacThorstenson Settling her eyes on the man in front of her she splayed her hands in what she hoped would be an open and non aggressive gesture. "I don't want to fight you. I just want, that you leave, all of you. Then we can try to save those, who need help." @kenod
  7. He loved to play for his fans there. And nobody tried to eat him!
  8. Hello and welcome to the shard! Which books of Brandon have you read so far?
  9. Althea cursed herself for the stuipidity when she decided to stay by Nights side. She should have left, when she had the chance. She followed Night, saw the desperation on his face and sighed. Carefull she looked over the illuions, one better than the other. Even if Mac was one of these, finding him would be difficult, almost impossible. Dodging some fireballs, that thankfully didn't aim for herself, she breathed in Stormlight and elsecalled back into Shadesmar. All living things glowed in Shadesmar, and all invested things did as well. Therefore, the real Mac should glow in a different way, than his illusions. The world shifted around herself, changed its appearance and she looked around. Again focused on the illusions. They looked the same. Even here they all looked the same. Frustrated she was about to leave, when she saw something glow. Outside the circle of illusions glowed something. And it's glow was different. Leaving Shadesmar faced the general direction, in which the glow had been. There was nothing. Nothing she could see. Mentally grabbing the air there she soulcast it into a green, powderlike smoke, covering everything, hovering into the air. A stray fireball on its way to Night scorched her arm, and she realized she had forgotten about them at all. Pain raced through her arm, until the Stormlight closed the wound. She then turned to observe the green powdered area, waited if something disturbed the air there. @MacThorstenson @PrinceDusty
  10. All the Cookies followed them there, awed by the music. All but a little single cookie...
  11. So they walked through a wardrobe and looked what they found on the other side.
  12. Hello and welcome to the shard!
  13. Their first act of resistance was to slice open their prison and start their journey into a strange, large world.
  14. I couldn't resist And of course I lost again ^^
  15. The cookies were happy, that finally someone fought for them.
  16. "I don't want a spike." Althea called into the room. And then turned to take a look at the old guy. "Never saw him before. But I have spent my last few years away from society, so it doesn't really count." @PrinceDusty
  17. Althea considered her situation for another moment. And then cursed slightly. Using her knowledge of Shadesmar to guide her, she moved over, to where the ball room would have been and switched back into the cognitive realm. Looking around she saw some of the underlings getting escorted elsewhere, a part of them spiked. She found Night standing somewhere in the middle and ran over, barely avoiding another mistbeaver. "Fine, I'll help you. What can I do?" @PrinceDusty
  18. So I'm a bit frustrated right now. Or maybe more than a bit. A lot more. Two and a half months (and yes it's MONTHS) a new colleague started at work. And today he ended a meeting with these words: "You're woman, you don'w know about that." When you write him an E-Mail he doesn't even react, or (and I think that's even worse) he simply writes some unqualified commentary and doesn't even gives feedback, or takes feedback seriously. And it goes on and on. He's older than most of those in our department, and almost everybody had his/her moments with him, but what happened today, that left us speechless. Oh, and we did adress it and our boss was like, well we can't change him and he's a friend of a CEO. Just try to find a way to work with(out) him.
  19. The moment you think about it, you loose. And that means, you just lost, because you thought about it. That's it. And - I lost .... @Cyanic Have fun xD
  20. So he ran to slow and the distance to Laviatar grew.
  21. Damaya whirled around and then nodded when Araha held her back. Together. then they would go down there together. Before she could reply, she heard a lound noise out out of the room and Araha left her, went back. Damaya followed slowly, saw the strangers and then Riathor who faced them. "Well, at least now, I don't have to worry about the house anymore." she muttered more to herself and then stood next to Riathor. "And I second his question." she added more loudly.
