Know that one. Thankfully my parents read the english version. But friends of mine wait for the translation and only got the first part of OB last month. I couldn't wait that long for a new book...

We also have a in character pm with the council, or at least with those loyal to TFA that also have a character. And yes, of course for us it is more important to find good way to represent leadership than for other guilds. Because our hierarchy is a central point of the GB's. I just wanted to mention it, because especially regarding a characters death, and the short time we spent in an era at the moment, would lead to a lot of instability and end with members creating characters correspondending their own rank. As Althea, Mr Amber, Hellbent and Solace (to be discussed) are. Because we need a way to continue to plan be it in rp or out of the rp.

That's right And my mum reads his books, too.

And we need to decide how guild leadership should work. Because if we move all the planing to the characters, then the characters need to have a position similar than the player. Or at least one of the characters needs to. Which leads to characters with a different powerlevel. Or we create ooc threads for guild planing and the characters are only lower members.

My version of Oathbringer is still with my father... since 9 months... and I really want to reread it, but I can't. And now he stopped reading, because of Shallan and I convinced him to go on. So I'll have to wait even longer until I have that one home again...

"Sometimes a dream turns into a dream." -Tuomas Holopainen My favourite songwriter, and I just listened to this song and remembered that beautiful line. For me, there is so much emotion in that line, so much of life in general.

Lena nodded, satisfied. When he walked over to the apple trees she followed, tried to see where he kept that shade. Her grandmother had spoken of smokelike creatures with talons long as a forearm. And horns, four horns over a mouth full of sharp teeth. That meant a pouch? Or a bottle? Nothing. Maybe he could call it to do his bidding. Picking up some apples herself, she made sure they were looking healthy and tasteful. "This enough?" Alask asked after a while, his arms full with apples. "I have no idea how many work there." Lena replied thoughtfully, then sat down on the ground and started poisoning the apples. Every single one of them. You never knew which one Flight Control would pick. When she was finished, she put them into a bag and stood up. "You're ready to go?"

I'm 100% with you, if we reform the guild to pure in Alleyverse institutions. But if they remain partially out of it, in my opinion we need to keep some secrets. Posting who will try to be a spy in another pm, ruins all the fun of spying.

"The eyewall?" She asked. "And does it grant investiture like the Alleystorm does?"
-
Sounds good to me. And it offers the oppotunity to play a character outside of the moral values of your own guild. To the planning: For me this is central when we talk about the guilds. I'm not sure I feel comfortable with every plan being out in the open, since it will take away a lot of the surprise, of what you're aiming at. So maybe we could move the larger goals out in the open and keep the actual steps towards this goal secret.

I'm fine with a more rpg like approach and without it. I think we should try it, and see how it works for us. For my next character: depends a lot on the timeline and what happens to mine. I'd like to keep Lena though. Althea, too but that is likely to be difficult.

Aurell turned towards her, pulled her weapon and shot. Thrice. Pure instinct let her breathe in stormlight, then her world exploded in pain. She couldn't even say where exactly Aurell hit, only that she had aimed well, not missing once. Not even having the breath to scream she stared at Aurell for a heartbeat, tried to follow what was happening. Not trusting the woman had been right, but in the end they had been too trusting at the same time. Her next concious thought was when her body hit the floor, the pain of the impact jolting her mind out of whereever it had gone for a few seconds. Black spots danced in front of her eyes, but slowly a part of the pain was subsiding, the stormlight healing her body. She saw Aurell turn, fire again. Thrice. Mentally reaching out for the weapon she tested if her investiture would get a grip on it, tried to turn it to water.

@Ookla the spearman Althea walked over to the computer, not intending to pay Aurell a single chryst. She turned it on, and then took a look at the hardware, searching for something that maybe could read her card. When a guy teleported into the room and immediatly spiked the justice- freak she tilted her head slightly to the left, observing. Five spikes in the chest, from criminals. Interesting. She tried to get a closer look where exactly he had shoved them into Galvris body, or to discern their material. Galvris introduced the man as Valdwen pointed at her with his finger. She met his eyes with a cold stare, didn't like to be pointed at like you would at an object. And he only told Valdwen her name, keeping her position secret. Another interesting fact. "They are planning on how to bring down Solace, a worthy goal, wouldn't you say?" He finished his introduction and Althea filed this information away, too. To bring down Solace. They didn't. They wanted to stop him, and there was a fundamental difference between those two. Maybe they would need to choose a place far away from them for their confrontation. Turning to Max, to judge his reaction, she found him staring at the spikes, then sharply turn away to face the door. She hesitated, unsure how to react, not really able to judge his emotions without looking at his eyes. Storms. She was supposed to do something, he just had told her he loved her. She was supposed to know if he was alright or not, if he could handle this or not, wasn't she? Collect youself, she commanded herself. Think. He had told her, about Lusk, what he made him do. So probably he wasn't that well? Althea looked over at Brashen and her spren only shook his head. He didn't know either. Max? She finally asked. Are you alright? Inwardly cringing she observed him hold up the card. Are you alright? She could do better than that. She needed to do better than that. But - nothing. She could think of nothing better than are you alright. Only a lot of things even more awkward. Sighing quietly she looked down at the computer again.

Lena observed him for a while, judging his words. That boy really had a shade. The thought was enough to send a shiver down her back. A shade. These things were dangerous as hell. And he wasn't doing a good job hiding it. Paling when he told her, he could control it, looking away as soon as he finished speaking. How he tried to appear stronger. At least he attempted to hide his fear. "Mostly?" Arching an eyebrow she shook her head. "That doesn't sound like you actually can." With a sigh she stepped closer. Scared, he was scared. Of her. And if she was honest with herself, he was right. He should be scared - of them all. She lowered her voice, softened it a bit, to not sound threatening herself. "Listen. If you want to keep it a secret you shouldn't threaten people with that shade of yours." She observed him again, his posture - just like her brother. Inwardly cursing herself she added. "And if you care for a piece of advice from someone who grew up with a lot like those at the house: keep it secret. A shade can be a powerful weapon. And there are many that would kill for something a lot less dangerous." Her grin crept back on her face. "I poison people, and I'm good at it. That's my weapon. I don't need a shade. So let's trade. You keep it from killing me, and I'll keep your secret?" Thinking of what was to come her eyes brightened. It had been a while since she last poisoned someone. And this new concoction, she was excited to see how it would work. "Let's go shop some apples."

Lena grinned this was going to be interesting. "We could wait until someone delivers food. Then once the delivery service is gone, we walk over, carrying some empty packages. Claiming the other guy forgot a thank you, we could walk in and put poisoned food on their table." Thinking for a moment she observed the building. "How much time do we have? We can also try to tell them we come from Alleyzon and make a control or have a meeting with flight control. But for that to work we would need key cards. Or we disguise us as children, looking for their mum/dad with a surprise birthday present. Get them to tell us a possible name by shaming them into not knowing who we are." She shrugged: "Or we tell them, that we are from Alleyzon with a health program, and that every employee gets free apples for work-life-balance. Then we have a reason to walk through the whole tower and they have a reason to eat our food." She turned around, looked at him and her voice lost all humor, the grin vanished. "Is there anything I should know? Like not lighting a fire, or shedding blood?" Her eyes narrowed and her voice turned cold. "I'm not thumb. You threatened them with an angry shade and I'd prefer to survive this heist. So where is that shade of yours? Can you keep it under control?"

Yes they are 5 concerts in europe left, none more announced at the moment. And they were brilliant again. Now let's hope they'll start to work on their next album soon. It's been way to long since the last one.

Definitly! Never stopped writing that "book wish list" for christmas. Though now I divide books into "need to be bought right now" and "can wait until someone needs a present".
