  1. I loved this series. They way the women evolved, how you realized who they were. And how the civilization was described, how the people reacted to the thread, how they abused those that could protect them. And not only them, the other characters were great, too. I reread it several times, and it still leaves me awed every single time I put a book away.
  2. The cognitive realm?
  3. *belatetly offers a hug as well* It will get better!
  4. Hello and welcome! Who is your favourite character?
  5. Hello and welcome to the shard! If you could choose one type of investiture for yourself, which one would you choose?
  6. Damaya had stopped at the entrance when she had seen the gemheart, observed how Araha touched it and then claimed she was talking to it. Asked for advice. She asked her for advice. Damaya hastily thought about something. About anything. "It's name. If we can help it. Why it led us here." She brainstormed. "If we are hurting it, if we need to leave. Who these birds were. I don't know. What is it saying?"
  7. Althea sat there, breathing, fought the urge to leave, to never look back again. She was being childish, this was stupid. Running away never solved anything. They needed to talk. The canton. He went to the Canton. Getting back to her feet she stepped back into the wedding hall, suddenly despising the dream it offered. It felt fake, like a too bright picture. It had started to rain, to storm outside, the dark sky adding an even more unreal touch to the scenery. It was only when she turned around, to walk to the door, that she saw him. Max was back, and he looked like hell. For a moment all she could do was look at him, at his torn cloths, his soaked appearance. Then she walked over, silently hugged him, tried to offer whatever comfort she had. "I panicked. I'm sorry." She whispered, ashamed of her reaction.
  8. Althea stared after him. He left. Like that. And then she elsecalled away, stepped into Shadesmar and sat on the ground, hid her face between her legs and tried to not panic. Think, she told herself. Think. There is a reason. But the only reason she could think of, was her worst fear come true.
  9. Doesn't really change the fact that you're no part of us anymore...
  10. Damaya smiled at him and then followed the tunnel. "I guess we'll see."
  11. "It's unstable? It will change? What does this mean for us?"
  12. That would be an Alleyverse party that doesn't end in a fight Alright for me, or at least to keep it non deadly. I don't want to exclude anybody.
  13. Thanks. And thanks for letting me loose again
  14. Thier took his "T" and went of a journey.
  15. Althea blushed at the compliment, suddenly hoped her face wasn't smeared with blood anymore. Which was probably stupid. "And I want to stay with you too," he continued. "Together." "Together." She repeated and stepped closer, tried to keep up with everything that was happening. It seemed almost too good to be true. And yet she had assumed he leaned against the wall because he was exhausted, only belatedly realized that he needed her to keep his balance. "Are you alright?" She asked concerned, checked his body for fresh blood, anything that could tell her what was wrong. "Are you hurt? I can get you to the hospital." He had to be alright, they finally had the time to sort things out. After everything they finally had some time. This was the wrong time for a catastrophy, not now, not when they were both walking towards and somehow still skipping around a wedding.
  16. Damaya followed Nogard and looked down the tunnel. Plants grew on the rock, glowing softly, similar to those she had seen earlier. "But we aren't hurting it, by being here, do we?" Not asking what he had hoped to find. They all had their reasons for heading to an unexplored place.
  17. Lena walked away, left them to their work. Burying corpses wasn't really to her liking.
  18. I lost. And @Silva as we were talking about princess seams. I made a new dress for Sorana yesterday. Dark blue, based on a princess seam, but I added two triangles at the sides to make the skirt even wider. It's now around 4m in total. The cloth is a flannel mixed with a low percentage of cotton. And I added a lacing in the back. Apart from a few decorations at the bottom and the sleeves it's rather plain, as is fitting for Sorana's background. I plan to wear it above a woolen dress of a lighter colour with long sleeves.
  19. Pickpocket didn't count in autocorrection. Autocorrection liked to use capital letters at the beginning of sentences.
  20. Her heart skipped a beat at his smile and she returned it, listened to his answer. Which made not really sense, apart from the first part. It's pretty cool. Warmth spread in her chest and her smile widened. She walked over to him, her dress brushing the floor. It took her a few steps to get accustomed to it's weight, but then she'd never worn something similar before and suddenly she was glad she didn't stumble over it's skirts. She reached out for Max hands took them in her own and looked up at him. His hands were warm, strong and she simply held them for a moment, enjoyed the touch. It was almost strange how happy such a small gesture could make her. "You're beautiful." She told him earnestly, somehow still smiling, unable to stop herself from smiling at him. "I want to stay with you."
