    For a moment she was silent, wondered when he had become so good at reading her. Nodding she sat up, to be able to look into his eyes, her long hair falling around her shoulders and she brushed it away, out of her face. Smiling she looked at him, her husband in her bed. She was astonished by how much she felt for him, how much he meant to her. She hadn't known that it was even possible for her to feel that strongly for someone. "I've never invited anybody over before." Reaching out for him she brushed over his arm, and then left her hand on his shoulder. Enjoyed how easily she could touch him, how close he was. "Yes, I feel like we should talk about a few things." She said slowly. "Honestly, I'm not sure where to start. I don't want us to fail because we never talked about expectations, about our future. It's everything from where to live, over if we want to share a last name to children, a family. What we expect, which path we want to take." Hastily she added: "It doesn't have to be now. We can always wait and see what happens."

    Althea smiled at the sound of his voice. This easily counted as the best morning in her life so far. "I did. Better than the last years combined. And you?" She answered, without moving away from him, instead she turned her head and kissed him lovingly.

    Althea's flat was small, but it had everything she needed. She had a bathroom, a room for her bed and another one which combined her tiny kitchen with something like a living room. There wasn’t much space to walk, but it was hers and not much work to keep clean. If she was honest, most of her time she had spent somewhere else. At the lab, at Oasis City, or in Shadesmar. Althea woke sometimes during the morning, not bothering to check for the exact time. Tiredly she turned her head and looked at Max. He was still sleeping, his face relaxed, a soft smile on his lips. Gently she reached over and touched his face, his hair. He was here, he was really here. She could see the ring on his finger, they’d married. Althea suspected, that she would need a few days, until she could believe that it was true. That it had happened. That she had found the one person she wanted to share her life with, and that they had married. Smiling she moved closer, rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes again, relaxing, enjoying the fact that he was here, that she wasn't alone. @I think I am here.

    Althea made sure to stay as far away from the Shardblades as possible, took his hand and they left the room.

    Althea accepted the bands and looked at them closely. They were right, their pattern really fit together perfectly. A talisman to keep them linked together. That fit them a lot better than KanMien knew. "Thank you. They are really beautiful. Especially with the meaning behind them." She gave one band to Max and then put hers on. She noticed how KanMien corrected themselves, and then gave the credit of finding the bands to KoTiel and filed that away. "If you talk to KoTiel again, could you tell them thank you as well? I haven't seen them the last few weeks, but we executed a plan against that huge machine threatening Alleycity together." Still smiling she walked back to her place and used a knife to gently tap against her glas and waited until it was silent. Then she started to speak to their guests. "We would like to thank you all for coming here and celebrating with us. I can't really express how much it means to me, that you took the time to come here and share this moment with us. Please feel free to stay as long as you wish, as we will retire for the evening now." Looking over at Max she blushed slightly, when her thoughts followed the word retire and set it in relation to "just married". Quickly she turned her focus back to their guests. That definitly needed to change. "We wish you all a good night and a safe travel home." She set the glass back on the table, took the figure with the sword, Max had placed close to his plate and walked over to him. "Do you have everything? If yes, I can lead the way." @I think I am here.

    Gratefully she smiled at him, resting sounded great. Do you want to say goodbye, or should I do it?

    Yes. It's close to the lab. she replied and tried to remember if everything was alright there. It probably was. She tried to keep it clean and tidy. But then, she usually didn't have visitors. But don't expect something large. I only use it, when I'm here and not in Oasis City. She hesitated and then admitted: I'm tired. I don't know how much longer I will be able to really hold a conversation without falling asleep in between. The last days were ... exhausting.

    Althea followed Max, somehow proud that he rushed to help a stranger, admiring the fact again that he was good person, way too good for herself. She touched her ring, looked at it again. Married. It was getting late and slowly she felt the exhaustion of the previous days settle in again. She hadn't slept at all in three days? Or was it four already? She had lost track somewhere. Exhilaration could fuel you only so far. She smiled at the woman, he had helped and then silently turned to him. How long do you want to stay? And where do you want to ... spend the night? @I think I am here.

    Damaya knelt down next to him, suddenly caught in a situation she knew. Or least knew the other way round. Usually it was her lying on the floor unable to cry out anymore. She saw his pain in the way he'd crumbled, how he held himself. It was like looking into a mirror, and for a moment she was unable to do something, memories grabbed at her, her arm breaking, a foot stomping down on her hand. She heaved a breath, it wasn't her this time. This time she could try to do something. "What did you do?" She called at the man, her voice shaking, almost breaking. It had been his command, he had started something. "Stop it! Araha, can you stop him?" Then she turned to Nogard and took his hand, soothingly caressed his shoulder, his arm carefully observing if her touch would hurt him even more, ready to let go of him should that be the case. She talked to him, her voice soft, let him know, that he wasn't alone, that they were here, that he could walk through this, that it would end. @2001Kra

    "Thank you. But I have to admit we didn't chose the place ourselves." she smiled again, then thought about his words, her overspilling joy slowly replaced by a quieter, thoughtful happiness. For a moment she thought about asking after his wife and then decided against. The woman wasn't here, and that indicated dangerous territorry. "You are right." she replied instead. "These moments are rare. And when they are here, they disappear faster than you had the time to really understand what happened." Clearing her throat, she saw Tena walk towards them and bow. With an apologetic glance at Laonin, Althea turned to her, listened to her kind offer. "Thank you. I will gladly call you, should we ever need ... support in that regard." Children. Another topic they hadn't talked about, like their last name, or where they would live, or what they expected. Althea started to make a mental list with all the things they needed to talk about. Later, the good kind of later this time. They would sort everything, together. And nothing was more important than that. Another man approached them, announced that he had organized the catering and the food and Althea thanked him, too. She had assumed that Solace had taken care of this as well, but if she was honest with herself, it didn't really matter. It seemed like everybody was having a good time, and that counted, as a successful party.

    Smiling Althea took Max hand again as they walked over, simply because she liked to touch him, because she felt so much better close to him. She felt like she was floating and it wouldn't be long and they were back in their daily lives, she could enjoy this evening for now. Max kept back a bit, indicated that she should do the talking and she inwardly laughed at this switching of roles. She had let him do the talking most of the day until now. "Hello." She greeted the stranger. "We only wanted to thank you for the rings. They are really beautiful and they fit perfectly." She smiled at him. "I have to admit, I have no idea who you are, and that makes the rings even more special." "I am Althea, and this," She looked to her side, "Is my husband Max." Her husband Max. Althea felt her smile widen when she looked at him and realized that she had to leave the impression of a lovestruck girl, which she kind of was. She was just so incredibly happy. Reining her expression in, to something more polite and less "I-feel-like-I-could-hug-the-world-because-I-just-married-the-love-of-my-life" she turned back to the man, gave him a chance to reply. @Karnatheon

    Thankfully Althea observed Max pack the swords away and was relieved when they were stored safely. She knew such a shardblade was prizeless, but for her they were only a symbol of what could go wrong. Max accepted the next present. Grateful she smiled at the man that had handed them a small statue and then, as she was already standing she decided to walk over to the man that had gifted the rings. "I'll thank the bearded man. Do you want to come?" @I think I am here.
