"Hey Rob." Shana greeted him distractedly and placed herself between the Voidbringers and her friends, covering them as good as she could with her body. She noticed the red eyes, they were hidden, but they were there. She unwrapped her two-bladed staff and took a deep steadying breath, centering herself. ========= The woman looked at her, at all of them and then sneered, sidestepping the attack. "Here you are, my little friends. Finished your homework?" She teased, and started to reach into her pocket. @BookishOcelot @NoiseSpren

Shana nodded inhaled stornlight and started running. She run almosr daily, kept her body in good shape, but with stormlight, with stormlight she was even faster. Her feet slapped the ground as she found her rhythm, focused on breathing. The park wasn't far, but then it wasn't around the next corner either. When she arrived she was sweating, her heart beating a fast rhythm, she'd gone too fast, had tried to arrive there as soon as possible. Taking a deep breath she forced her body to calm, her hand still tightly around her covered weapon. She saw Leona and Andrew and hastily jogged over to them, scanning their surroundings. @NoiseSpren @BookishOcelot

Mike nodded, looked at Nael and Sam, at Bella and Freyja. He liked them. He liked them all. They were nice, kind people. "Yeah, I'll fetch some things. I'll come back later. I don't want to rush in this unprepared." There that sounded like a good reason. And it gave Sam and Nael some time with each other. Slowly he walked out of the hideout, looked for attackers.

Lena continued to smile. "That pancake is safe." She remarked somehow happy that Lita didn't eat it right now. Only stupid people ate what she gave them without checking it first. "It's good to hear, that you're fine, that you found a place where you belong." Her face darkened and she shook her head again. She needed to offer him a future, a place to belong. But right now she had nothing. She was alone, and she hated being alone. Well except for some freaks, but she barely knew them. "I know what you mean. It will be interesting to hear what they plan." @ZincAboutIt

Mike set it aside and took a step away from Nael. Right. Don't accept a drink from a freak. Nael had to have seen the scales. He stood there, staring at his feet awkwardly, unsure what to do. Did he want him to go? Taking a sip from his beer, he used his foot to draw circles on the ground in front of him.

Mike smiled and fetched three cans of beer, offering two to Nael and Sam. "The Canton of Combat is one of the guilds. As the name suggests they are fighters. They teach everybody, you only have to go there and ask. Usually they try to keep the peace and stabilize regions." Lena shook Lita's hand as well, smiling as well. She noticed who Luta was sitting with, but she didn't care. She liked her. "It sounded interesting. I don't know if I want to work for them or not, but now that the guy who blackmailed me is dead -" She shrugged. "I've got nothing to do at the moment. And I don't like to be alone, so, here I am." Fetching two pancakes out of her pocket, she offered one to Lita, after a quick glance at the paper it was wrapped in. "How are you?"

"How should I know? I don't know you." Mike slowly put his knives away. "Attacking the Canton. That's quite a task." He said thoughtfully.

Lena stepped up to the building, grinning widely. Finally something happened. "Hey. I'm looking for work." She told someone at the entrance and then saw a woman in a strange dress. Strange, but beautiful. Then she recognized Lita. "I love that dress! You look fantastic, Lita." She told her instead of a real greeting. @ZincAboutIt

"I needed a new start." Mike answered, although the question wasn't directed at him. Nael was already eying him wearily and he stepped farther away from Sam. Breathing he tried to regain control, to calm. The scales slowly vanished, when he shoved the snake back into the corner where it belonged. @Jaywalk @Steel Inquisitive

She fell silent, sighed, busied herself with stacking everything in the roasting pan, covered it with cheese and put it into the oven. It was strange having him call her Thea. Strange, but not neccessarily bad strange, still it would take a while to get used to it. After setting the timer, she turned back to him. "You're right. It is." She replied and now that she had spoken the words loudly, they felt realer. "Not only the Waiter, the whole thing with Benson as well. The child -" She trailed off, shook her head, pushed it all away. "I don't know how long I can do this anymore. I thought about stepping back once we have a child, but maybe - I don't know." Another sigh. She looked over at Max, smiled when she saw him sitting there. Her husband. "There was a time, when the Ghostbloods were everything for me. My family, my home. I strived to move up through their ranks, sacrifed a lot for this position. I changed, but I think I only realized today how much. And I like who I turned into." "It's been a hard day. I need to sort this mess and then think about it." She poured herself a glas of water and joined them. "Dinner should be ready soon." @Nohadon @I think I am here.

The cloud stopped moving, seemed to sag down. "I don't know." He repeated sounding diminueshed. "I never questioned it. Maybe it has something to do with my Radiant?"

"What, now?" Shana looked longingly at the water and then nodded. "I'll fetch them. Give me five minutes." She hurried upstairs and quickly showered, then changed into some comfortable shorts with a top. Afterwards she felt better more like she could sit down next to someone and grabbed her bag, returning to the pool. ========== Mahad whirled around happily. "I don't know. I only do it. it's light enough for me to move. You like it?"

Mahad picked up a small leaf and floated it over to Glint, placed it on Ben close to Glint. Then the small cloud waited to see if there was a reaction. @Lunamor

"Analytical Geometry." She sighed. "All these lines and planes and functions. I'm at a loss, I have no idea what they want, or what it is about." Mahad whirled around her hand, a small cloud of dust and then flew over to Glint, seemed to poke him friendly.

Shana kept her smile and showed him a thumbs up. "Alright! Good luck with practice!" She towed Ben outside and sat down next to him. "Ben, you're smart. You're reading a lot. I have this maths test in a week." She trailed of, looked at him pleadingly.

Happily Shana took the cookies and waved at Tyler. "You should come as well. Can't hurt you." Grabbing Ben's arm she nudged him into the general direction of their pool. @Lunamor @JacobClaessen
