  1. *hugs* I hope tomorrow will be better!
  2. "To an examination room?" She replied, astonished by his question.
  3. Lena smiled at Warden. "Of course I do." She had several special pancakes left. One was harmless. She would only feel a bit dizzy the evening. Lena pulled it out and handed it over. Alask had made her promise to not poison his friends. As he didn't know Warden yet, she wasn't in that category. "But only a few. We need to go to the supermarket to buy something to cook with. Then I could prepare dinner. And make new pancakes." @Turtle373
  4. "I'll take some. Nothing better than cake for breakfast."

    Nerin Character Study

    It's great! I love Nerin!
  6. Amara listened to his words. Everybody who can fight in maght. No damage to normal humans. She set her jaw and looked around for something she could use as a weapon and went with a metal spike used to move coal around. Then she repacked her pinnate, took only the most important things, those she needed to treat the most dangerous wounds and then got to her feet. "We could have the tower crush them." @kenod @Vargo Seldon @Chasmfiend#1
  7. Lena looked up when she saw a man step into the forge. He extended a hand for her to shake, while telling her a long and complicated name she forgot almost immediatly. But as he repeated his first name twice, that one stuck. She shook his hand, tried to place his face. Maybe she'd seen him, when she brought Alask and Nekorb their share? Maybe. "Lena." Looking him up and down, she wondered if he always held himself as if he had a stick in his backside. Stiff and serious. Probably boring as well. "Alask will be back soon. Laonin is gone and we lost Nekorb at PlasmaCore. Warder is around here somewhere." She answered his question. "You don't happen to have the time to go to the supermarket and buy some food?"
  8. Mike pushed himself up into a sitting position. Her crying made him uncomfortable. He had no idea how to respond to it, what it meant. "Bella. I need to go back." He said instead, silently hoping that she would stop crying. He'd never been good with girls and a crying one, he felt awkward. "My team, they need me. I am responsible for them."
  9. Lizanne listened to her, thought about her words. It was the safer option for the group. But a lot more dangerous for the one going alone. She hadn't proposed it, because she wanted to avoid the discussion who should go. "Sure. Just tell us where to wait, and we'll stay there while you knock on the door." She replied and carefully observed Aderet's face. Aderet was perfect for that role. She looked harmless, like a damsel in distress and if she died it would leave them helpless.
  10. If it's alright for @BringerofShadows
  11. The words hurt. Somehow. Somehow they were to be expected. Nerin had offered a cot to Brillin, and now to the stranger. But not to herself. Attayl hid it behind a polite smile. "I'm Attayl." She told the new one, but stayed where she was. For now. When they headed to bed she would leave, try to find a place to pass the night. Then, maybe she could steal some breakfast. Then - she had no idea. Her fingers tightened around her cup, but otherwise she showed nothing but calm. @John Flamesinger
  12. Shana leaned against Ben and listened to Doc and Draug talking. This was her home, her family. They all were. Those that had lived here for a while and those that had joined them a few hours ago. Her eyes rested on Doc as she wondered if he would approach her again - but no he would not. Hopefully he would simply let her stay here. She'd learned her lesson, maybe too well. Think about what you are fighting for. James words. You can be one of our heroes. James, always supporting them, showing them a way. She knew why she was fighting, knew it, but she hadn't told them. She was here to fight for them, to kill so that they had a choice, a possibility to step back. It was about that choice, not about the path you took. The choice. Doc. He knew, he always knew, but he kept her out of it, kept all of them out of it. Except for Cassie and the new one Draug. Shana suddenly despised them, although she loved Cassie as dear as a sister. She wanted to belong as well, to stand up and have a say. Not to sit down and be told, that there were more important things. And yet here she was, sitting down like a child. Anger had her form fists, so thight that her nails bit into her flesh. Wrong, stupid, she knew it. But jealously only rarely was logical and sane. She loved Doc, looked up to him, wanted for him to look at her and she someone who had accomplished something, but instead she felt like a failure, unworthy to sit here amongst them. Shana stared at Draug and Doc talking. She was here to fight for them. And she would. She would do everything to protect the, to take that burden. Maybe it wasn't enough for Doc, but maybe it would be enough for Ben, Rob, James, Leona, Flid and all the others.
  13. Well, I 'll go on with her until that quest is over. Then I'll see. If I still don't know who she is, I'll just retire her. Usually it works better for me to just start with a vague idea and fill the rest in while writing. I use the background only as a starting point.
  14. "I fear it was real. The way Doc stared at them. He looked like he knew them." Shana tried to remember what had happened. "We need to talk to Doc. He has to know what is doing on, how we can protect ourselves." She reached over for Ben's hand and interwined her fingers with his. If these dreams returned, maybe he would let her sleep in his room? On the floor or whereever. So that she could wake him up in the morning. He had been so grateful, that he hadn't needed to kill himself, she would take that over for him.
  15. "Sure." Amara moved some stools out of the way, fetched more charcoal. She grabbed a broom and cleared the floor as well, to make it easier for Lilia to draw her runes.
  16. I don't know? I don't really care about combat, most of characters are focused on skills outside of that, and just improvise when they end up in a conflict. But maybe, I don't know. I just don't get a grip on her and rewrite my posts, until I go with something short, because that's safe and let's the story go on. I simply don't know who she is, what she is doing. Maybe she is just too good, without an edge. I don't know.
  17. "Leona is right." Shana sighed, rested her head in her hands. "We need to solve the actual problem, not throw sprite around." She grinned at Flid. It was such a stupid suggestion, that it brightened her mood. It was so normal, that it felt right. "If you do that, you have to clean it up."
  18. It fits really well. And Amara is more this typical healer, as she can't use magic for that. She's good with plants and sewing skin together, so she could have eased Karl along, but these injuries are way to severe for her to heal, so it's great that you can do it. Honestly, I have some troubles writing that character. (And yes I know, I already killed one healer off, because I couldn't get it right, but I wanted to give it another try.) She somehow feels liveless to me, if you know what I mean?
  19. Amara watched in awe as Lisa performed her magic on Karl. Hastily she knelt down next to her. "Can I help you somehow?" She asked, although she suspected, that the answer was a no. The damage was severe, way above what she could have healed. A snapped neck was deadly. At least, when she was the one healing you. Unconciously she reached out for Mutig, touched his fur, looking for comfort. Karl, he was only a boy, and he'd asked her for help. And the only thing she did, was stare and fail. She should have done something, anything to protect him, he was only a child. @kenod
  20. Shana wanted to tell him, that it was stupid, that maybe could sleep safely, but she nodded, helped him back to the couch. "I won't slap you." She told him smiling. "But if you want to, I'll try to keep you awake."
  21. Go ahead!
  22. Mike smiled at the thought, the something else crossed his mind and he looked at his hands. Maybe she hadn't heard what he'd done earlier. Maybe she still thought of him a loyal member of the gang. "You aren't angry? That betrayed you? I mean you never agreed to not attack him, but still. I went behind your back, handed the information over to my superiors." ======================= Mira stopped in front of him. "Good evening, sir." she greeted him and offered him an arm. "Please come with me, I'll take a look at your arm."
