"Not even a phone? Then you should stay with one of us, who has one, should we split up." Mike looked at him surprised. "Here's my number then, Seom." He showed her his number. @Sherlock Holmes

"Head into the wood. Renata offered to climb a tree and Lisa saw a wall yesterday." Lizanne explained. "We wanted to take as much food with us as we can, we never know what happens. I plan to look for a river and for edible plants."

Mike stared at his mobile for a bit longer, prayed for a reply, but none came. He wished she would give him a chance to explain, to tell her the truth. "We've got some orders. Find out where and how we could best enter the building. There are already troops close by, but someone seems to try a diplomatic approach." He told his friends and then texted Lusk that they would do it. Focus on the mission. Maybe he would meet Bella accidently, she was somewhere here as well. "We don't happen to have something to communicate easily?" @Vargo Seldon @Turtle373 @Sherlock Holmes @I think I am here. =========== @Ark1002

He raised an eyebrow at her, seemed untouched by her soothing. "A little fun." His voice was as cold as her smile. "Do you think I'm stupid? She spends some hours at your parlor and immediatly runs off with you? If you're looking for information, you have the wrong person. She knows nothing." Despite his harsh words, there was a hint of fear. "I expect you to return her by tomorrow morning."

"Let's go." Lizanne decided and bent down to wake both Arun and Aderet up. No sense in waiting. @Silva @Blessing of Potency

"She was able to walk yesterday when she used a crutch." Lizanne replied. "We simply need to walk slowly." Not that she'd ever complain about walking slowly, Arun provided good cover for her own weakness.

Max voice reached her through the pain and her first thought was to tell him, that she was indeed okay - then she realized how large a lie that would have been. Her arm was nothing more than a hurting chunk of flesh and broken bones and her chest hurt. She was not okay. She had voices in her head, she felt like she was loosing her grip on the world, had trouble concentrating. Her fingers touched the stone, relieved that it was real. I will survive. I've been hurt worse. Don't worry. She replied instead and took a careful, slow breath. Better. A lot better. Turning her head she saw Max attack Vesuvius, the blood staining his shirt. He didn't give up. He fought, without pausing to think of his own life. Ashamed she closed her eyes against the battering pain. Even when he'd needed her, she'd been weak, had needed him to snap her out of her own mind first before she was even able to move again. Accept, but not submit. She was afraid of the voices, but they were only that, voices, nothing more. And they had been silent lately. They wanted to have a family, but that would never work if she was on the verge of a mental breakdown the whole time. She was broken, would always be, but she could take another step, she could at least learn to deal with a part of it. Max did, broken as he was, he dealt with it. He fought, while she had given up. Another careful breath. She could do it. She had to find a way and go on. For him.

"I can't climb a tree. I have trouble getting up some stairs." Lizanne stated and added another piece of wood to the fire. Her tone was challenging and at the same time almost defensive. She hated this weak version of herself, the way her body regularly let her down. She wanted to be strong and fast as Lisa, or intelligent and educated as Renata or Arun, but instead she was nothing. She couldn't run, she couldn't read, always hiding, fleeing ever in fear of imaginary pursuers. "That wall sounds good. Let's take a look at that." Maybe they were lucky and found a hut, or a place to stay. It was better to focus on that, then to follow her thought. "We should wake Aderet and then get going. Who knows how much daylight we'll have."

Attayl paused, shot Nerin an apologetic glance and rushed after him. "Dance with me?" She blurted out, before she could loose her courage. "Just once?" @I think I am here. ============ A man, wearing a rich looking suit and formal cloths walked up to the booth, his eyes first focusing on Nerin, then on Aben. "So...." He started, his voice, sitting down on the place where Brillin had sat earlier. "I see you got to know my little girl." His eyes moved over to Arrayl hurrying after Brillin. "You know, I don't appreciate someone enjoying what belongs to me." @ZincAboutIt @Invocation @Turtle373 @Dr. Dapper

Lizanne listened to their words. "So if we leave? Where should we go? We are seven people, if everybody comes along. Our apples are enough for another day, maybe two and we need fresh water." They also needed a latrine of some sorts should they stay. She closed her eyes, tried to sort herself. Unconciously her hand pushed back one of her sleeves, touched the scar her chains had left that circled around her wrist. Free. Despite everything she was still free. Feeling uneasy she checked the sky again, both with her eyes and the mirror. Nothing. Sitting down next to the dying fire she looked up into the sky. "We should take a look at the forest. See if we can find something to eat there. If there is a good supply, that can influence our decision." "And we need tools. An axe, a shovel, a hammer, whatever we can find. Maybe we should search the rubbish in earnest. Rope." She started repairing her improvised net. Maybe she'd need it again. Pausing for a moment she made it tighter. If they found a stream, maybe there were fish. "I am afraid that scavengers come by and find us, but running off without anything is foolish. We had a fire tonight. Depending on the forest we might be able to get another one going, but maybe not." "I suggest we search the ruin in daylight and the forest. See if we can find a track or trail. If we can't, maybe someone can climb on a tree, take a look around. I'd prefer if we didn't accidently stumbled into a steppe without water or food." @kenod @ZincAboutIt

If she was honest with herself, Althea was probably more a liability in this fight, than really helping. When she was facing one opponent, she could concentrate on him, understand what was going on. But here and now she kept loosing track of what was happening. If she focused on Vesuvius, one of her own friends might accidently kill her. And she had no idea how to keep an overview over the situation. She was about to push herself up, when she saw Neo slow down and quickly looked back to the darker ground again. He was glowing brightly and her eyes hurt. She'd taken of her sunglasses, as it was dark down here and the sudden light hurt. It was the sound of stone crunching on metal that tipped her off, and she looked up again, saw a huge rock move towards her. And it was fast. Instinct saved her again. She had less than a second, reached out for Shadesmar, used the storm inside to get out of the way. The stone hit her body, crushed her arm beneath its weight, her shoulder, a few ribs - then she was gone and it hit the ground where she had been a heartbeat before. Pain blured her vision as she leaned against a nearby wall for support and she forced herself to stay quiet to breathe. Breathing turned difficult and she spit some blood on the ground, felt her body start to heal the damage. She needed no air, so she stopped breathing for now, waited until her lung would properly work again.

"Some. But judging those they are hanging out with, they're Farriers." She looked around the room again, quickly. "I'd need some time, but I think I've seen at least a fifth of everybody here before?" Worrying she shook her head. "Maybe even more I fear. Farriers, Scarlets, and a bunch from the smaller gangs. It's like they all try to show what they have, to intimidate the others." Her hand closed around a glass and she tried to sort those attending. Most of them were muscle, but she recognized one or two she knew were informants. There were so many here, it looked more like a secret meeting, than like a normal evening. "The dancing hall belongs or belonged to Millet, I don't know if that changed." Or if it was about to change. Aben started talking about his pipe and she smiled at him, nodded, then looked back over the assembled. Some had to have recognized her as well. Her face was easy to remember. She let her shoulders sag down in an attempt to appear harmless, hoped her sole appearance hadn't put a spotlight on those from the parlor.

Attayl followed Nerin over to a booth, her eyes on the dancing floor. The couples looked beautiful as they whirled around, the dresses swining around at their movements. She sat down and burned her metal again. She felt, elated, happy to be here and wanted to dance. There he was. A second rioter and another soother apart from Nerin as well. Satisfied she stopped burning, but made sure to remember their faces. Her fingers tapped a soft rhythm on the table and she looked over to the dancers again. Hopefully she would dance at least once today. Once. For a moment her instincts won, and she noted the different gang members. The Farriers were here, as were some of those belonging to Millet. Attayl froze when she saw a familiar face in another booth across the room. The man. He hadn't noticed her yet and she hoped she would pass unnoticed. But if he was here, he had claimed to be some operations guy. What did it mean? She leaned over to Nerin. "There might be trouble." Her voice was softy barely hearable.
-
Attayl headed towards depot nine, a happy spring to her steps. She'd changed into a dress that flattered her body, with a nice wide skirt to move while dancing. While it highlighted her womanly features, she made sure it was subtle, not offensive or too suggesting. She swallowed some bronze earlier, with the conflicts brewing she wanted to keep an eye on those around her. The Farriers knew about her and ending up in their hands didn't belong to her plans for this evening. She paid at the entrance with some chips she'd stolen from a drunken guy and then stepped into it. For a moment she only stood there, observed the room, noticed the exits and windows, planed a possible escape route. Looking around she searched for Nerin, but couldn't see her in the many moving bodies. Burning bronze she concentrated on the pulses. The piano player, rioting, another one, that vanished so quickly, that she didn't identify it and reappeared again after a short while. There had to be a coppercloud to her right. And then, finally brass. Attayl stopped burning bronze and turned towards the direction she had sensed the soother. There she was. Nerin, her arms widely spread, smiling. Hesitating she paused, was she sure she could trust them, head over and join them again? Nerin had been angry with her earlier, maybe she should leave. Hesitating she took a step towards them, wished she was brave enough to through her insecurities away. Strong, she had to be strong. Placing a nondescript smile on her face she waved and headed over. @whoever is here @ZincAboutIt

Amara nodded, reluctantly let him head to the stables. She picked up the money and then stepped inside the tavern. She paid for them all and almost directly headed to the stables. Her pinnate was badly shaken, she would have to unload, sort and repack it completely. Looking through her supplies calmed her the smell of her herbs beautiful and soothing. Now and then she looked up to see if one of the others arrived, but for now she was save. @Chasmfiend#1 @Turtle373 @Vargo Seldon

Althea saw the blade and the axe move towards her and instinctively she dropped Brashen, lifted her arm to protect her face- Turn Beashen into a shield. Shield, a shield, why did she - How? He was - Shardweapon. It clicked and finally she acted. Don't rely on your body to heal everything when you face a shardweapon. Unceremoniously she let herself fall to the floor, out of their way. The ice was cold beneath her hands, but it was way better than if she'd thrown herself into the stinking water of the sewers themselves. It was only when she was lying there, thar she realized, that she should have elsecalled away again. Turning her head she saw Vesuvius directly next to her and suppressed a groan. Staying out of this would have been wiser. But he had attacked Max, she had to try to help. @Gancho Libre

Attayl's face brightened at his words. "If you found the time to drop by, it would be great. Regardless of whether you're leaving tomorrow or not." She told honestly, almost suprised by how happy his words made her. Maybe he would dance with her. Stepping back she reluctantly looked around, commited the sight to her memory. "I've got to go. See you." Almost hastily she turned around, wished she could stay, but knew that it wasn't possible. She paid at the counter and then stepped outaide into the night. The air was cool, and so she pulled her coat tight around her body, feeling different, now that the soothing was gone. Blushing heavily when she remembered how she had behaved, what she had told Brillin she almost wished he didn't find the time to show up. He had to think of her as a silly girl, that had no idea how the world was going. Ducking her head she hastened through the streets, pushed all over thoughts away and collected herself. She would go dancing. This day easily counted as the best one in a long time.

Lena hastened out again, grabbed the whole bucket with and shoved its contents at the two fighting shades, hoping to get as much of it on the attacker as possible. It would be interesting to see if her theory regarding his acid would prove right, or not. If she was right, then his acid would automatically start to dissolve the sand the moment it touched it. And maybe if they poured enough sand on him, they could force him to use it up without hurting them. @xinoehp512
-
Lena nodded in agreement. "First the sand, then the silver? We don't have much of that left."
-
Lena followed her and put on thick gloves and an apron. Which about the extent of cloths she could find. But there was sand. "Grab the sand." she instructed Warder. "He's got this acid covering him. So maybe if throw enough small stuff at him, that will render that useless. If he can't control it, he will use his acid up on the sand and then we can grab him. He had to replenish it, did you see how it returned after he killed the man?"
-
Attayl flinched back at her tone and quickly got to her feet. It had been only a matter of time, until she was annoying them. Obviously she'd managed by now. It was understandable. She wouldn't have spent time with herself in their place either. "I'll meet you at the dancing hall, later?" she asked, unable to cover the hope in her voice. Maybe at least Nerin would show up. Turning to Brillin she curtisied again, just because she felt like it. She made sure to make the gesture too large, jokingly, if only because that was the only thing she had left. He'd danced with her, she'd never forget about that. It was a smal piece of her dream and she would cherish it. "I wish you a pleasant journey traveler." @ZincAboutIt @I think I am here.
