Shana nodded, without moving away from him. She stayed like this for a moment and then sat up, looked at him again. "You're right." With a sigh she reached out for his cheek and touched it gingerly. She had heard the voices as well, but somehow it had seemed more important to be here with him. They would heard if there was more fighting. Still she followed his suggestion and stood up. Holding her hand out for him. "Let's go?"

Lizanne saw some mushrooms and leaned down to them. They looked good, but she didn't know them and mushrooms were difficult. Kneeling down she plucked one and sniffed it, then turned it around. Lamellas. Meaning it could be edible or not. With a sigh she got back to her feet, wraped it in a rag and then put it into her bag. Walking back to the tree she looked up, to see that Renata was already up there. "Can you see something?" she called up to her and then turned around, observed their surroundings. Despite the trees, she felt as if she was standing in the open. Vulnerable. @ZincAboutIt

Amara felt sick at his words, but she waved at a barmaid, ordered some food for him instead. "We will find a way." She repeated, thinking about what they could do. "We could ask the Inquisition." She suggested. "And maybe get help from outside the city. We can't go back, just the four of us."

When Bella fell to her knees Mike stumbled over, his skin blistering from the heat all around him. The flowers the letters, were already burning, lying somewhere on the ground. Stop it, she had to. She had to stop it. There was no way she would die here, too. She thought he was beautiful. Strong. Kind. He reached for her hands, took them into his, his skin ripping open when he moved his fingers, blood running over his skin. He look into her eyes for a half heartbeat, then had to close his eyes, lower his head. Black spots danced in front of his eyes, when his body started to shut down. His head swam and he was glad he was kneeling, knew he wouldn’t have been able to stand anymore. “Bella.” he started to speak but the heat forced him to close his mouth again and he leaned towards her, tried to protect his face from the worst heat. “If … you can’t stop it…” he forced himself to speak, his voice strained with pain. “Flee.” His shirt started to smolder in some places and he groaned from the pain, wanted to scream, but there was something he needed to tell her and he forced the scream down, his heart beating fast in his chest. The world spun in circles around him and he held on to her, slowly dropping forward. His spikes burned through his chest, their metal heating up quickly, turning the skin and his flesh around them to a blackened burning mass. “You… are … a good … person. Better, than … the flames, more… than your … powers.” The pain became unbearable, so strong that there was nothing but the pain, but his skin burning. She was crying and he wished he could reach out for her face, tell her to stop crying, that everything would be alright, that she was strong enough, that they could weather this together, but the words would have been a lie and he couldn’t speak anymore anyway. Pain, so much pain, so much excruciating pain, ripping its claws into his body, tearing his mind to pieces until it was nothing but a whimpering, screaming mess. And then, thankfully it was over. His body sagged against hers, when finally, thankfully darkness claimed him. @ApatheticTeenager

Lena turned around and grinned at the woman. What a stupid question. Everybody had seen her talking already. "Yes. He's a bit simple in some regards and complicated in others, but I like him a lot." A thought crossed her mind, she still had some prepared pancakes in her bag. Nothing too grave, she would probably survive. "Would you like to have a pancake?"
-
"They want me?" She asked dumbstruck and then remembered her earlier words and laughed bitterly. "Oh, that. I don't hold any value anymore. I suspect they want to kill me, to make sure the gang is wiped out completely. Or just ignore me, who knows." She explained and a shudder ran over her body. Despite her words, she felt miserable at the thought, that this was indeed a possibility. That those she'd lived with for the last few years were maybe already dead. Or had joined the Farriers. Silently she drank more ale, swallowed it quickly. Quietly she added, more for herself, than for anybody else. "And the question is, if I want to go back? Do all of it again again for a piece of bread and a place to sleep on the ground?" Her voice trailed of and she drank again, emptied her cup. She stared at it for a moment, and then opened her bag, counted her money. She would have to start stealing tomorow. See how much she could find. Or she asked for a job here. The thought was strong, alluring. They knew who she was. A Seeker. She might be useful. Attayl discarded the thought, threw it back into the dark corner of her mind where it had come from. She was only a Seeker, nothing useful in a gang war.
-
Lena looked at Shez, didn't move when he came, closer backed up again. Alask sometimes controlled him, and sometimes not. She waited until he had made his mind up, and grinned when he shook his head. No food. Well that was to be expected. All around her people cheered on him, knew him and she set down her empty bucket. "They would love it, if you waved at them." She remarked and then tilted her head to the side, pondering if he understood that. But he had understood her earlier questions. "And could you tell Alask, that if want to keep his identity secret, he should keep back and you two should vanish in some dark place before changing bodies again." She lowered her voice, stepped closer to make sure nobody heard her words.
-
"But I heard his pulses." Attayl interjected quietly. "Two of them. That's the rule isn't it? One, or all of them." "And I am sure. I didn't mistake them for something else." She added to forestall any questions in that regard, her mind still turning around what else he had said. Of course. Nothing more. Just of course. She looked at him again, he was tall, lean, and the blue skin looked good on him, natural. There was no way she would ever adress it loudly, tell him that she liked his looks, that there was no 'of course' when it came to helping her. Nobody simply helped her. And then she understood. The way he had looked, how people had stepped out of his way, the glances. She understood and her eyes flicked over to Nerin, as she remembered her earlier words. She expected people to despise her, Nerin did and Brillin did as well. They were so similar in that regard, that it was almost astonishing. For the first time in months Attayl relaxed slowly, smiling at the three sitting here with her. They might betray her, they might use her, but she could take the risk, had taken it everytime she stepped into her old hideout. "There is no way, to keep the parlor out of this, isn't it? Would it be wiser to support them?" @ZincAboutIt @Dr. Dapper @I think I am here.

"Is there another way to burn two metals? I don't know much about the metallic arts. Too less, given that I can..." A vague gesture indicating her burning bronze. She asked and turned her head to Brillin and Aben. If there was, it would explain a lot of things. And if not, a Mistborn. She drank again, slowly starting to feel the effects of the alcohol. It made her head feel lighter, her problems smaller. "That guy, Lance killed when he jumped through the roof. He was my boss. I never liked him, but I had a place to sleep there. I'm afraid to go there, now that he's gone. I'm not sure who survived, but most of them, aren't exactly what you would call pleasant company." She drank again, shrugged the topic aside. "Sorry. I don't want to bother you with my problems." Her eyes rested on Billin for a bit longer, then she lowered her glance. He'd cared. About her. When those from her own gang had ran away he'd cared, he'd put an arm around her shoulder and he'd cared. She wasn't used to someone caring, to simply touch her without aiming only for a short time of fun. It confused her, offered her a glimpse into a world, she hadn't known it existed. the way he had changed when they met the thugs in the street, how he had defended them, although she'd seen how he despised his own words in his face afterwards. A good man. Somehow a good man had ended up in the same place she was. "Thank you. For taking me with you earlier and not letting me stand there and stare at his corpse." She groped for words, tried to explain and then just smiled at him quickly. "Just thank you."

The question Went to a supermaket to buy some chocolate Somewhere over the rainbow A few days ago By foot. 42 The chess game. They will start arguing with each other and one of them will leave the room before they are finished. Pattern No, I don't use them. I have no idea how they work, but I think they were invented for people with bad eyesight. *takes the cookoie carefully and puts it away for further inspection* I only read a translated version of Elantris, but I relayed your question to some friends of mine. Words like 'ruin', 'honour', 'surge' all get translated. Those like 'allomancy' only adapted to fit the language better (Allomantie). So it's a mixture between keeping them and translations. Sorana. That's why I'm using her name here. She lived through so much. I can literally spend days talking about her adventure/ telling them to others. In case you've read some of Lena's stories, they all happened to Sorana. And in the AV it's Althea. She changed a lot, but I like who she has become. Although she really has to get better at some point, or I'll end up with a crazy character.

"No need to apologize." Attayl took the mug and pushed some money over to Nerin, worry crossing her face when she realized, how less she had left. Nerin stopped her soothing and she extinguished her bronze. "They have a mistborn. They are powerful. Strong. But also cruel. I feel like they will cross borders, the Scarlets never would." "Maybe Brillin is right. Maybe we should all leave. If I sleep in the streets here, or somewhere else it doesn't make a difference." Dishearted she took another sip of her ale. She took a handkerchief out of her pocket and wiped her make up of her face. Without it she looked younger, her own age and not like a woman over twenty as she always pretended.
-
"I'll take one, but nothing too strong. I need my wits for tonight." Attayl nodded gratefully. She'd followed Nerin through the streets, grateful that she could come along for now. Nerin led them through the streets and she kept back, kept an eye on the streets around them, burning bronze. Her allomancy was a comfortable flame inside of her. She looked at Nerin, felt the familiar pulses. "You're soothing us again." A statement, her voice neutral. Her head cleared under her careful touch, her shock subsiding a bit. She had nowhere to go. Homeless. A bitter laugh escaped her lips and she sat down on a stool in front of the bar. Her fingers trailed along her scar as she tried to wrap her thoughts around what had happened. @Dr. Dapper @I think I am here. @Emperor Stick

Lena turned to Shez. He was behaving differently, than a year ago. The people seemed to like him, and he acted differently. A year ago he would have ripped them all apart. Her eyes flicked to the side, to Warder, the people. All were farther away than she was. Maybe she could distract him, snap him out of it. "Do you like food?" She asked him while slowly lifting her hands, to show she was no threat. @I think I am here.

Hello =) when I asked around for ideas for a 'good' 4000 post, it was suggested to do an AMA. I have to admit I was unsure whether I should do it or not, but alas Ene had a really convincing argument, so here you are. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. (Great surprise: I don't promise to answer them all (correctly).)

"I think so." Attayl replied. "If I can come along, that is." @ZincAboutIt

"I agree." She looked after his wound, carefully cleaned it and then stiched it together. She dressed it and then looked over at Karl when she heard his breath quickening. "It's alright. Mutig and Algorath and Chadwick will find a solution. They are strong and brave." Her hands touched his arms and she made sure her voice was calm, soothingly. They would find a solution. And she would come along. She would help. @Chasmfiend#1 @Vargo Seldon

Lizanne followed Renata over to the trees, looked around, at the trees and the other plants. She looked for anything she might recognize, or anything that she didn't recognize, that still looked edible. They would have to be careful about poisonous plants, but before they died, they would have to give it a try. Berries, leaves, but more important would be some tubers or other fruiting bodies. They could last a while on them, depending on the amount they found and on the type of plant. Now and then she looked over her shoulder, checked the air, the sky. She felt uneasy, the feeling that she was observed not vanishing anymore. Instead it made her skin crawl, and whenever there was nothing. Now that she knew that the eye could hide, that she knew and not only suspected, it was hunting her and she could only hope it would kill her and not put her back in chains. @Voidus @Fatebreaker

Amara had stared at Karl write on his arm, but then Algorath returned and he headed outside. She followed him and heard Algorath suggest that she should stay here, out of the danger. He was right. The only thing she had done so far, was playing damsel in distress. It hurt, but compared to their strength, she was nothing. "Let me take a look at that." She asked Mutig and gestured towards his wound. Leaning in she whispered, hoped they could both hear her. "He asked for help." And then even quieter. "What is wrong with you?" @Vargo Seldon @Chasmfiend#1

Mike saw the buildings burst aflame not far away and when he received another message from Bella, he knew that it was a lie. With a groan he stared at his squad and then back at the burning houses. "I'm sorry." He started, then held up the flowers. "There's this girl and she has a breakdown. I'll catch up to you later. I'm sorry, but she's..." Without giving them a chance to reply he rushed off into the night. It was easy to follow Bella, the fire like a compass to point him in the right direction. Bella was going fast, but wolf was faster. Mike allowed him a sliver of control, just enough to run through the city, the flowers taken into his mouth. Wolf was afraid of the flames, but Mike's own fear pushed them forward, past the burning buildings, closer and closer. He shoved Wolf away as soon as he could see her, grabbed the flowers again and sprinted towards. "Bella." He called, holding out the flowers in an awkward gesture. "Bella. I know you are angry and disappointed. I know how it looks like." His voice shook and he pulled his shoulders up against the heat around them. Then he hastily went on, spoke without giving her a chance to reply. "I wrote you a letter, but I didn't find anybody to deliver it." He held the sheet of paper up in the air, waved it around. "I only wanted to protect you Bella. Syndicate wanted to use you, to sacrifice you, you had no chance to decline, he'd already moved his people into the building before approaching you. I looked for a way out to save you, to make sure you could keep your face and the gang." Another deep breath, that almost hurt and he felt the sweat drenching his cloths. The fire would kill him, not directly, but soon enough. It was too hot between the burning buildings. "You were the one who took me in, the one who helped me get back on my feet. I owe you everything. Everything. You taught me about responsibility, so I hoped you would understand." No that was the wrong way to approach this. "I never wanted to hurt you. Bella, you are my idol, the one I look up to and I wish I could be like you one day." Running out of words he paused, only stared at her figure, fox crawling to the surface. Foy was sly, and strong. Mike feared fox. One day he would be fox and not find his way back.

Shana moved closer and cuddled against him. She heard some of the others move, shout but for now she wanted nothing more, but to stay here with him. Hopefully, this had been the one and only night like this. She wasn't sure if she could luve through that again.
