  1. Lena laughed coldly. She opened the syringe and poured the content on the ground in front of him. "Wrong reply." She held up another one, hummed excitedly. "I've got another one. This is the last. Think about your reply wisely."
  2. Althea swallowed the pill. Painkiller sounded like heaven. She listened to Max talking and was content to leave the conversation to him. She couldn’t see who had come, kept her eyes closed. Without stormlight it would take them a while to recover on their own. Someone knelt down next to her, gently pushed some of her cloths aside, probably looking at her wounds. A hand closed around her ankle, counted her pulse. “This will hurt a bit.” She was warned, felt something cool over her skin, then a slight prick. She tensed, felt something cold spread into her. Then nothing but pain. Her throat constricted and she groaned when her heart beat faster, then stopped working. Panic rose in her throat when she fought to breathe, when her heart thankfully took another hesistant beat. Her hand tightly closed around Max thigh and she pressed another one to her chest, willed her heart to go on beating. Something was wrong, something was terribly wrong. ==================== Lena’s grin widened and she quickly stepped back, out of the reach of the man, after she’d injected the poison. The woman lay there for another heartbeat or two, then her face contorted in pain, her breath getting fast and irregularly. Panic covered her face and Lena pulled another syringe out of her bag, held it up for the man to see. “Actually it’s easy. Your little freak there has a few minutes left, then the damage done is so large, she will die. If her heart doesn’t give up earlier. Not unlikely if I look at her.” She grinned widely, enjoyed the sight of the woman's lips turning blue. “But I think we could trade. I give you the antidote, so that you can try to save her miserable life, you do, what my friend here asks of you."
  3. Regarding the other points: I'm in for a longer timeskip, 10-20 years is resonable and you can still go on with characters, if you want to. I agree with Meta, we'll need a poll for this. I also like the idea of smaller plots somewhere else, but I don't think we need to move the whole setting. Those that like plots around a city, like thieving can, and those who want to go to a frontier can make a thread for that as well. I think it will work just fine with threads in different locations.
  4. Althea tried to help him sit her up, wincing in pain when her burns scraped over his cloths. "I... love you..." She mumbled and leaned against him, grateful to have her head out of the grime. She was so tired, the pain clouding her thoughts. For a while she did nothing, but sit there, tried to get her thoughts sorted enough to think of a plan, of something to do now. ============== Lena grinned and straightened her wig. She had disguised them, a beard for Alask, a fake nose for herself, some makeup, a different hair colour and you looked like a new person. "They fit the description. Good for us" She sauntered into the room, grinning slightly. "You look like you need help. Lucky you, I know my way around bodies and how to patch them up." Looking through her bag she offered some painkillers to the man. He would need them, if he was to call and control the phoenix. "Some painkillers. I can take a look at the two of you?"
  5. As it is about plots: me and some others had the idea of a plot set in Oasis City. No nuking, something smaller. Characters would be Ghostbloods. We'd like to give everybody the possibility to participate, so those that aren't part of the guild can either use a PC or an NPC (which we'll treat like a PC). The only thing we'd like to ask is, that these GB NPCs don't start another war with some other guild and that you rp them respectfully. The idea is centered around the whole "moving planning to IC", because we thought, that all guilds have a cool background, that could be used for plots. For the plot itself, we have a rough outline (which we'll share with anybody interested). As it works well to have a planning pm and a rp thread (see scadrial, sewer system), we'd like to do it like this. Those that want to be surprised can skip the pm, those that want to help planning can do that as well. What do you think in general?
  6. Lena grinned. Mart was fast asleep, and they had eaten. She grabbed her bag and followed Alask. "Let's head to the black market first. I'd like to get some disguises."
  7. Shana couldn't help herself and laughed out loud. The puppies were great. Others turned around as well and the boy turned a crimson red, pulled his pants up again. "Good job." She whispered to Ben, while their victim stumbled out of the gym. "But maybe we should stop, head outside?"
  8. "Let's go." Shana slickened the pants and the belts, grinned when she saw them fall to the ground.
  9. "Puppy dog pals is a great idea. With red hearts around them, please." She inhaled more stormlight and focused on his belt and the pants. "Are you ready, my lord?" She joked.
  10. Shana made a video of the boy, how he slapped at himself, and ran around, placed a cartoon flower over the spider and posted it online. Her amount of followers wasn't extraordinairily large, but being good at sports ensured some kind of popularity. At least enough, that usually people didn't make fun of her. "He'll be forever known as the guy afraid of a flower." She grinned. "Next target." Her eyes sweeped the room. "The guy over there. I heard him make fun of Rob, because of his demeanour. Wanna see his pants on the floor?"
  11. "How has made fun of you?" She asked and looked through the room. "That person just got lucky."
  12. "A bit. But it's so cool." Shana laughed. "They will squirm when they see it."
  13. "Can you lightweave a spider?" Shana grinned in anticipation. "We could have it crawl over someones feet."
  14. Shana buried her face in his shoulder and laughed silently. "Let's see how they handle that." She turned to another one of Leona's classmates, a boy who was dancing an showing of. Slicking his shoes was so easy, and the sight when he lost his grip and fell on the floor was worth diamonds. "Good thing we're no boring adults." Seemingly innocent she ate another fry and considered pulverizing all of them.
  15. Shana leaned over and whispered in his ear. "Do you see that girl over there? She makes fun of Leona. The one in the red dress, with the guy in the grey tux." She inhaled a little bit more stormlight and slicked the carrot the girl was trying to eat. When she tried to pick it up with her fork, the carrot slipped away, directly on her dress and left a large stain. Shana quickly turned away and hid her laugh behind a glass of water.
  16. "Cool." Shana grinned at him, inhaled a tiny amount of stormlight and pulverized a potato on her plate. "They were cooked to long..." she offered as matter of explanation.
  17. Shana smiled at him and ate as well. "Do you think you could maybe cover us? Then we can avoid questions why we head outside, before it's really started."
  18. Zokora walked to the side of the road, waited for Damon to follow. She made sure to stay close enough to be listen should Baker Pi should reply, but she wated to offer Damon some privacy. "What do you have to report?" she asked him. He was injured, but as he was still able to walk, it couldn't be too grave. The risk of a spy. She would need to remember to write a message to Althea, asking her to promote him. @ElendVenture ================================== Mike grabbed the foil again. "Let's be quick. Maybe we can finish it, before the DA arrives." He told Seom and handed her the tape again. Then he followed Wes example and continued to cover the walls in foil. Aluminum was enough. Nobody ever said it had to be thick. They only needed to cover every single spot. @Ark's Boyfriend
  19. Shana led him to a table at the side. "Let's head outside after eating?"
  20. Althea shuddered when she saw how she looked, her hair smeared with blood and other stuff, she prefered if she had no idea what it was. Her cloths were partially burned off, angry red wounds covered her skin. And Max was probably worse. She had stood behind him, he had shielded her from the explosion. Her thoughts drifted off and it took her a while to realize, that she had done nothing at all, had drifted on the pain, on the gentle nothingness behind. Slowly she tried to get up, tried to move, only to fall back to the ground. The pain robbed her of her breath, had her lie there until she forced herself to turn, to crawl over to him. It wasn't far, only a few feet, and then she would know, she could touch him - She was lying on the floor, her hands outstreched, her face hurting. Everything hurt, so it was strange, that she noticed her chin. Dazed she tried to push herself up again, continued to crawl in the general direction, until her hand touched something. A shoe. Relieved she dragged herself further, but the shoe moved. It was a foot, lying around on the floor. Hellbent. Althea sagged down, back to the wet floor, admitted, that she had lost all orientation. Had there been a lone foot in Max memory? She couldn't recall and the blackness was everywhere, calling her, dragging her down. "It's not far." Brashen hopped on her left arm and she groaned, unable to move, to go on. Brashen hopped on her arm again and she groaned, forced her body to move. Somehow she found the strength to drag herself further and then she felt another shoe, this time with a leg, a warm leg, not a corpse. Max. Missing the strength to sit up completely she simply stayed where she was, rested her forhead against his thigh. They needed help, but now that she had reached him, her thoughts fled her and she slowly drifted off, found it hard to focus on anything anymore. The nothingness gently envelopped her and while she struggled against it, she slowly lost the fight.
  21. Noises, someone moving, groaning. Althea sobbed in relief when she heard him, he was alive. He was here. It made the pain more bearable, made it easier to concentrate. I’m here, he said, groaned in pain again. Are you okay? Are you hurt? Althea wished she could help him, get him to a hospital, but there was so much pain, her brain muddled by exhaustion, Zokora, maybe she - the thought eluded her. No and yes. She replied instead, tried to find out where he was, listened if she could find him, crawl over to him. The thought alone was daring, but if it meant that she could touch him. She wasn't sure, couldn't pinpoint a direction in the sea of blackness and so she stayed where she was, not moving at all. Silently she clung to their bond, because it was better, everything was better than the blazing pain wrecking her body.
