  1. Sagitta sat in her room. Nothing happened. They were late. Maybe, maybe not. She still had no way to measure the time. Tiredly she lay down, covered herself with a blanket. They would arrive, and until then she could rest. Now that she had a moment to calm down, she realized how tired she really was and the blanket was warm, the bed hard, but still more comfortable than the ground. Closing her eyes she fell asleep. @I think I am here.
  2. A little boy ran through the streets. He was fast, as fast as a child at the age of seven could be, small enough to fit between the adults and to use paths the grown ups had forgotten about. He had a goal in mind, had seen what happened to the two Farriers, had seen the others come to their aid, but in the end that was only a part of the reason he was running. He had heard some of the Farriers talking and he wanted to see if it was true. He had thought he was the last one, but maybe he wasn’t, maybe someone else had survived. He would feel better if he wasn’t alone, even if it meant, that he had to leave his quarter for a while, had to go to a parlor. Why the whore was there he didn’t know, but she was the only other one left, so maybe he could use her to secure a place in another gang. She had connections, knew lots of people. He stopped in front of the parlor door and knocked. @ZincAboutIt
  3. Mike grinned at Seom and gestured towards the Phoenix fighting in the sky. She was glorious, beautiful, she owned the sky. A storm was coming, no not a storm, the storm, and usually he tried to spend it somewhere else, far away from anybody, but now, as he had already lost all control over his body, he didn’t really care. He was sitting in that black orb, in that prison of his, with squid wrapped around his arm, moving softly in comfort. Wolf growled next to him, and Mike looked down at the animal baring his teeth. For a moment nothing happened, then wolf vanished. Mike stared at the place where he had been and then up. This had to be a joke. Wolf was gone? Just like that he was gone, had escaped? And as usual, he had left him behind. Wolf licked Seom’s hand and sat down on the street next to her. He wagged his tail a bit, unhappy about the pouring rain. But he liked Seom, and little Wes was also here. He liked having them all around. They were his pack. @Ark's Boyfriend @I think I am here.
  4. Zokora nodded. "Anything is better than having them stand around in the open." She heard the thunder, felt the wind pick up. The storm was finally here. Smiling she turned to Baker Pi. "I am really grateful for your help." Looking at her pad she pulled up the latest reports and tilted it for him to see. They had almost finished the evacuation. Working together was faster, than having to double check everything. @AonEne ============================ Althea felt a raindrop hit her cheek, then a second one. the wind picked up and she saw the storm cover the sky completely, felt the wind grab her cloths. She smiled inwardly in anticipation, she had waited for this storm for weeks. She loved the storms, their strength, their power. How they were so untamed and so predictable at the same time. Then rain started to fall in earnest, the drops almost painful on her tender skin, soaking her hair, making her cloths cling to her body. She tilted her head back, allowed herself a small smile while she felt the rain wash of the grime and the blood. she knew they had to go, now was the moment Max had been talking about, but for a heartbeat she stood there, not breathing, not doing anything but feel the storm, relish in its grip. Then, she inhaled. Her body errupted in light and she almost laughed in joy at the storm inside of her, then stored the investiture in the bracelet. Another inhale, more storing. She had run out of spheres, had lost them somewhere between the explosion and the poison, but Devaan had been right. The bracelets were easier, lighter and they were hers. And she most likely would need all investiture she could get. Althea was careful to school her face to a neutral expression, to keep her joy, her happiness buried, because she doubted they would understand, because it was something private, something she would share with Max and maybe Tena. But not with the strangers. "For the storm." She replied to Tels and then reached out for them. It was so easy to elsecall with the storm here, nothing more than a thought, a small push with her mind and then they were standing in front of the old factory. She could see signs of activity here, of a lot of activity. Bending down she picked up some rocks and soulcast them into zincflakes, then stored them into a bag. Wordlessly she handed them to Max, together with a bottle of water, who knew if he would need them, and she wished she could soulcast more, could use the strom raging through her veins, storming through her body. @I think I am here. @Truthless of Shinovar @Silva ===================== @kenod
  5. Zokora inclined her head to Lusk and returned to Baker Pi. "I am sorry. Had to evacuate the PlasmaCore Building." @AonEne =========== Althea turned to the man. "Do you know where Lord Ajax is? In that case I get us there, so that we can give the plan a try." She didn't comment on Tels question regarding the nicrosil. Max could reveal as much as he wanted, and she could soulcast him the metals he needed. He would tell her. Do we need to get you some goldminds? Or someone with progression? She asked Max instead using their bond. @I think I am here. @Silva
  6. "Will you tell me story? And play with me?" Mart asked and continued to hold on to Eve.
  7. Althea raised an eyebrow at his tattoo. "I am a member of the Triarchy leading your guild." She informed him, her voice cool, no emotions leaking into it, or showing on her face. He could draw the conclusion that threatening her was dumb on his own. She'd kick him out with much more than a few words. Still it meant she would have to look after him as well - not that he needed to know it. "So basically you want to lure the Phoenix to Ajax and have them destroy his army?" She summed his words up, to make sure there was no missunderstanding. "Do you know where this Lord Ajax is?"
  8. Mart had hid his face, but now he looked up. "Do you want to be my friend?" He asked the dust cloud, staying at Eve's side. "They say you are mean because you are alone. But if you are my friend then you aren't alone anymore and you can be nice."
  9. Althea shook her head, her voice cold. "Why are both you assuming, that I, that we want to see this city burn?" She placed a hand on Max arm, made sure that he was here, that he was safe for the moment. "My soldiers are dying to evacuate the civilians, would I give an order like that, if I didn't care? If I wanted to leave, both of us would be gone already." Narrowing her eyes she looked first at Tels, then at Eiren. "What I am not alright with, is someone abducting those I've sworn to protect. You can ask for help, explain a plan, so that we can work together. Because I think we agree, that we need for the phoenix to go. And that soon. Before the whole city burns like Oasis did." Turning to Tels she simply looked at him for a moment. "But if you try to uselessly get him killed again, then I can promise you, that the Ghostbloods will hunt you down. It's not your decision to use him as bait, and it will never be yours. It is his. So to answer your question, I am against you." She continued to look at him, but spoke to Max, loud for once. "What do you need to make them leave? Maybe I can help. Maybe these two can help, if they are willing to cooperate instead of abduct." @I think I am here. @Silva @Truthless of Shinovar
  10. Sagitta took the sheet of paper and read over the words. Sounded painful, to test the limits. What was he expecting, that she could negate the forces completely? “See you in two hours, I suppose?” She moved past him, her hand still holding the key. She needed to escape him for a moment, clean herself up, and then she could face him again. A bathroom. More food. Torn between the options, she decided for the food. No use to clean herself and then put some dirty cloths on again. The break room was small, and empty at the moment, but there were some pears and even some warm porridge. She helped herself, ate greedingly, without even sitting down, did nothing but eating, until she was sated, until her stomach felt like it was going to explode any time soon. Then she drank some water and there was even some cold tea. She placed her dirty dishes in a bowl standing to one side of the room and headed back to her room. Fresh cloths. The style was different from what she was used, and while they were simply, they were warm enough for the current weather and the cloth was soft to her touch. She took them with her and headed into the bathroom. The water was cool, but it was warmer than the rivers she had used on her way here and she grabbed a sponge, scrubbed the dirt and the dried blood of her skin. Her leg was better, in a week or two, she wouldn’t even feel the injury anymore. Changing the dirty water for fresh one, she started on her hair, carefully washed it with some soap, dried herself, dressed and sat down on a stool with a comb in her hand. Entangling her long strands was almost meditating, it calmed her down, gave her a moment belonging to herself, unobserved. She had escaped. She had escaped. And the spy had told her, that she wasn’t a prisoner here. She was free. She would do, what he wanted her to do and then she could leave. Gently she loosened another knot, and then another one, concentrated on nothing but her hair. She forgot about his tests, about the frightening base she found herself in. Forgot about her time with the nomads. For a short moment she did nothing but comb her hair, until it was falling in long strands to her back again, until she felt like a woman again. She missed the weight of her sword on her back, the stiffness of her gambeson, felt vulnerable without them, but for now she was sated and clean and that was more than the previous days. Carefully she cleaned the comb and the sponge, changed the water again and then walked back to her room. She had no way to measure the time, but she had taken a while, had enjoyed the loneliness. If they killed her, they would, but at least she had a chance.
  11. Zokora paused when she got a message from a soldier, telling her that they found Althea and was about to put her device again, when a second message from Lusk arrived. The building about to be destroyed by the Phoenix, and he needed a way out. She couldn’t elsecall him, not with the barrier, but maybe she found another way. “Excuse me for a moment. I’ll be back soon.” She told Baker Pi and inhaled. Not one Phoenix, but two, and they both were focused on the building. The barrier was gone, but Lusk was still inside somewhere. One problem solved, although she would have preferred the barrier of the huge flaming birds roaming the sky. She saw the Phoenix rise above the building, talons outstretched, plummeting towards the top of the tower and inhaled. She wasn’t Althea, hadn’t spent years and years polishing her surges, but she had to try. It was an order, and it was the right thing to do. Life before Death. Another inhale, more stormlight in her veins and then she laughed loudly at the feeling, at the craziness of the situation. Quickly she sent the location of Baker Pi to Lusk, in case she messed it up and then elsecalled into the building. The air was hot, burning hot and when she saw the amount of people Lusk wanted her to move she knew, that it wasn’t possible. She wasn’t skilled enough to teleport them all to safety. But maybe she could get them out of the way for the moment. Another inhale, her spheres dimming to a worrying degree and she reached out for them, just as she heard an impact from above, the whole building shaking, breaking apart. Exhaling she moved Lusk and the frightened men around him to Shadesmar. @I think I am here.
  12. =========================== Mike nodded and pushed the front door open. It wasn't locked. Which wasn't really surprising, as they had gotten in beforehand. The barrier was still there and he looked at it for a moment, before returning inside. He had seen a sign, "emergency exit" somewhere. Exit was good. He needed to help to bring the building down. He hastened along the hallway, walked some strairs downwards and then along another hallway. In the end he stood in front of a door. It wasn't locker either, standing slightly open. Probably it had been used regulary today. Pushing it open, he found himself a block away from the building, outside the barrier. @I think I am here. @Ark's Boyfriend @Silva =========================== Althea felt Max hand getting torn out of her grip and then he was gone, gone. For a moment there was nothing but silence, and then she heard voices, heavy steps, someone kneeling down next to her. "Ma'am." She felt a pouch next to her hand and instinctively inhaled. Zokora. She had sent help. The stormlight felt good, so incredibly good that she closed her eyes for a moment and when she opened them again, she could see the world again. Her body healed, the muscles destroyed by the poison returned, her burnt skin recovering. Althea put on her sunglasses and then stood up. "Take care of these two." She commanded shortly, with a flick of her hand towards the man and the woman and stepped into Shadesmar. Max. He'd talked about maybe leading the Phoenix away. But he couldn't do that, while he was in such a bad shape. The memories were there, looming, but as often the slightly drew back, as soon as she had a purpose, as soon as she could do something. And Max was more imporatant. She followed their bond and elsecalled away to a roof, saw him lying there, next to the feet of that strange man. "What do you want from my husband?" She asked mostly to cover herself reaching out for Max body. He was hers. She wrapped her surge around him and attempted to teleport him over to where she was standing. @I think I am here. @Truthless of Shinovar @Silva
  13. @AonEne =================== "Yes, thank you." Sagitta replied, stared at the small windowless cell. She knew he was watiching, but stil she walked to the door, tried the key out needed to see, if it was working. It did. He had handed her the right key. Someone would take. So no he himself. And he hadn't asked anybody, so he was probably a higher-ranking officer of some sorts. She looked at him again, recalled how he had moved through the base, how people had looked at him, how he had talked to those living here. the way he had never been afraid, although she was obviously stronger, how it had never been a question for him, if he got his answers. The only questions had been the why, if she would the keys in her hand, or if he would hold them in his. "Where can I get a new set of cloths?" She asked to cover the fear that started to crawl through her, at her line of thoughts, at the conclusion that waited at the end of them. Spy. he was a spy, a higher ranking one. Intelligence. Brutal people, without and scruples to kill for information. she had simply exchange one death threat for another, a more sublte one, but another none-the-less.
  14. Mart touched the ring with a chubby finger. "It's beautiful." He smiled at her, before shaking his head. "I don't like my school. I have to share my room, and I'm the youngest one there. I miss my bed and my playtools." With large eyes he looked at her, hugged her. "It's not home. Where do you live?"
  15. Shana stumbled when suddenly her dress changed. It became stiff, harder. She lost her momentum, while trying to adapt her steps, make them smaller to fit beneath the skirt. The next Voidbringer turned to her, saw his dead comrade and lifted his hand, a bolt forming between his fingers. Shana dove to the ground, aimed for his leg. How many were left? Four, five? And that crystal. She couldn't take them on her own, not alone, not without help. The bolt rushed towards her, hit her chest and she silently thanked Rob for his quick thinking. She slammed the knife down on his foot and then hastened behind a car into cover. Her chest hurt, the skin slightly burned from the bolt, the dress blackened.
  16. Sagitta felt even sicker when she saw his face lit up. This was bad. As in really bad. But she had to go back, had to find a way home. She had to defend her country, had to fight for her country. If it meant, that she had to do what he told her - maybe she could get to know some people, try to find a way of her own. Politics. accidents happened. Ta'e'ilo wasn't strong enough to fight two enemies. If she died, someone would officially protest and then nothing would happen. Politicians never had the guts to do uncomfortable things. They had soldiers to take up a sword and to fight their battles. Who would care if a soldier vanished. She was good, but she was just one of many. Quietly she took the water and the bread and followed him, feeling lost in the base. Soldiers were approaching and he wanted to get her out of the way. Keep their secrets. while he expected her to spill everything. It felt wrong, something was utterly, and completely wrong. Silently she sent a prayer to intensity, that they stayed with her and protected her from whatever she was getting into right now.
  17. "Sure. We need to get outside, so blow it up." Mike called up to her, while climbing down. "These people were able to leave, so there has to be a way for us to leave as well. And then we can fetch some explosives." @I think I am here. @Silva ====================
  18. Mart shook his head. "Grandma is dead. A man killed her a few weeks ago." He leaned against her, played with his bear. "Mum organized that school, so that I can sleep there, now that I can't live with grandma anymore." His voice turned sad. "I liked grandma. She was nice, although she didn't like mum. But mum comes by now and then. But usually she leaves after a short time again."
  19. @xinoehp512 ============================== Shana listened to Rob call the police and looked back at Ben. Fight for them. Rob was right, they were running out of stormlight. She felt around what she had left. She had to make it count. There weren't that many left, but enough to kill them all. Rob was with Ben, so maybe she could move for a bit. Especially those with that strange glow around them, she had to find a way around them. Slickening her feet she dashed over to a knife one of the Voidbringers had dropped and picked it up. Evading another bolt she knelt down, used the Van for cover. She was afraid, wished she could leave, could get Ben out of here, but it wasn't her role. James had been right, she could be stronger, she could be hero. Because she wasn't alone. "I will fight for those, who can't fight for themselves." She whispered, finally speaking the thought out that had been living in her head ever since she had seen Rob in the middle of her flames in the dream. He had never stopped fighting. So she wouldn't give up as well. She would stand up for them, fight for them. Mahad curled around her nexk happily and muttered something, that was lost in the bolt of another Voidbringer. Shana moved around their enemies, to their back and then she rushed forward, attacked one of them. She only had a knife, but she would use it. She stabbed the man, and he whirled around. Before he could channel his power she slashed at him again, cut open his stomach and then slammed her left fist in his face, before opening his throat. One down.
  20. A... voluntary trade. It wasn't. It was an option, the journey home nothing more than a carrot he held in front of her, something to keep her in line. She had no realy choice. He played it nice for the moment, gave it a beautiful wrapping, but in the end nothing would change it. She needed him, and he could charge whatever he wanted. His mercy. The thought felt bitter and she swallowed. "What do you want to test?" She asked instead, somehow expecting his tests to hurt.
  21. Jessy raised her eyebrows at his rude reply. "If you want to know that, you should talk to Mr. John here." "And if you aren't willing to share who your are, then why should we share, what we know?" @Dr. Dapper
  22. Actually I'm pretty sure it's 5.
