Long Game 51: A Traitor in the Obligators
Mailliw73 replied to Straw's topic in Sanderson Elimination
And I’ve said repeatedly that your posts felt off to me. What’s the difference? Your other points are negated by the fact that Itiah was already likely to die. Very early on, we had decided that people who survived kills should be targeted again, as it improved the likelihood of their being the Seer. It wouldn’t be the first time you’ve jumped on a vote train against a fellow eliminator. See below about the instant claim. So you want to put this game on a 50/50 coin flip? A tied vote puts it at random chance. And then, if whichever one dies is a villager, one of us will be killed at night, putting tomorrow’s lynch at a 50/50 again. We’ve gotta go all or nothing. What Karn said. He’d already shared his seeking results of you, Lum, which you knew because I’d told you that a couple days ago. So I already knew that you were cleared, otherwise I wouldn’t have been so sure in that post which of you was the traitor until Karn got back to me. -

The tag says final Four, not hour. Also, using write ups is typically not a good way to go as the GM typically makes them vague on purpose. Karn has actually seeked every one of us. Lum and I were seeked the two nights after Itiah’s death and you were just now seeked. Lum did contact me herself, as well as another player, to have that message sent up the line. The other player had also received the request to do so from multiple players. It was definitely not just up one PM chain line they tried to make sure Karn got the message. -

I mean, I leaned towards Karn being the Seeker, but I had no idea how long the chain was. That's the point of varying the lengths. I just sent the Seeking request back up the chain and then Karn contacted me after he Seeked me. -

Are you talking about the message that I sent to CadCom that was sent to you that you posted about Fura? Yeah, CadCom posted that I sent it to him and i received it from Karn before that. I'm not sure what you're getting at? -

Well, I don’t know if any other options for the traitor than CadCom. I’m again really impressed you made it this long on your own. But just to be sure, can we get Seeker verification? -

Wow. I’m sorry, CadCom, playing a game all by yourself since Itiah died must’ve been rough. I almost want to let you live just for that. Was he inactive one night and didn’t make a convert or what? -
Oh storms these are crazy. Amil is in too.

Because of my good friend Feir. and I assume because the traitors want you to think exactly what you’re thinking. -

CadCom, welcome back! We may just need your vote today, unless you’re a traitor, then feel free not to vote for a villager. I’m going to start the votes off with Snipexe. Overall, still my best guess for a traitor among the active players. -

True. Which is still a possibility, and would suck for me, so for faith’s sake, I’m going to believe that’s not the case. -

I don’t see why you, Karn, and Snipe couldn’t all be eliminators? I’m not saying I necessarily think that, but it’s a definite possibility in my mind. -

Lum should be back soon. I don’t rememebr when she made her post but she said she’d be gone for only a week and I think were getting close to her coming back. Stink and nohadon are lost causes, imo. Coop and Gancho, I have no idea why they haven’t posted. But I agree, we need all the help we can get and as long as they make at least one post in the next 50 hours or so, they’ll be fine and prolong our chances. -

Oh right. I didn’t go back and count which day it was. So yeah, 3-8 is the max right now. I’m aware of that possibility too. So far every scan has been accurate, but it also would be a dead giveaway if one wasn’t. I personally trust the Seeker but there isn’t proof and we may have to kill them if we don’t find a lead soon. -

It could be 3-8, I believe at most. If for some reason, Itiah started with 5 beads, it could be 4-7, but I doubt it. That’d be a bit too high, imo. -

Oh wait, Jon died... I totally thought that said that Snipexe did the first time I read it. Looks like we have an active Rioter too. I'm beginning to suspect that Snipe is actually a Rioter, not a Soother. And I'm even less certain on his alignment now. I've been talking with my Seeker friend, who I will refer to as Lord Bron Zeburn for purposes of anonymity, and we have decided that I'll be the face of the Seeked. Bron scanned a village Lurcher last night, which is why no one was revealed to be Seeked in the thread, since Bron knew he could trust me. Obligator Feir Onlurch, as we will refer to him publicly, has been lurching me the two nights since I've been seeked. Bron has asked that I again ask the Ministry how they would like him to use his abilities tonight. -

Mailliw73 replied to Straw's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ah... Not sure how I missed that. He told me D1... What can I say, I'm trustworthy. Also, I had the idea that we could either vote for who we want the Seeker to scan or we could encourage them to scan the second most voted to lynch player. I personally don't think that the traitors managed to convert a Smoker since Devotary and I are both village and I doubt there's a third since we haven't seen an abundance of vote manipulators or seekers. Thoughts? Edit: Since I realized I didn’t vote yet, I’ll go with Jondesu since he’s my highest suspicion right now. I’m not opposed to the Snipe lynch, but I’d like to see where others fall now that another vote has been made. @Cadmium Compounder @Coop772 @Gancho Libre -

Do you mind explaining what the bold and italics are? I assume italics are inactives? And bold is people you trust? Also, the seeker couldn’t have been converted the night I was scanned. Itiah was already dead. @Amanuensis I’ve been sitting on this, but now I’m uneasy about it. Snipe is actually the Soother I know about. Your last couple posts seem to have multiplied my suspicions on him, first with your points about vote manipulation and then this one, and this is with you not knowing that this was his role. I still personally lean towards lynching Jondesu, but I understand him being gone. I’d still rather remove him from the scenario all together and be sure because he keeps popping up in my and others lists and then disappearing. I’d be okay with a lynch on either though. -

Just to make sure I’m understanding this right, do you think one of them was likely to be converted because Itiah had played with them previously? Jon said he’d be minimally active the next cycle or so because of work. Hmm, that’s a good point. I know of one vote manipulator, though I doubt they’re on Itiah’s team due to voting the days Itiah was lynched. I can’t say I’ve heard of a rioter yet though, so if anyone has heard a rioter claim, we may want to investigate that more. Later this evening, I’ll have more time and vote. -

Aman has a point though. I believe he meant to say that I was confirmed by a seeker to be village, not that I’m a confirmed Seeker. Since I was confirmed to be a villager, you’d think I’d be a higher priority for a kill since I could continue to build a trusted group. Gancho would’ve been another essentially-confirmed villager to kill. The reasons I see for not killing either of us is: 1. They thought we had protection. 2. They want to frame us. 3. We’re further off base on suspicions than Fura was and so he was more of a danger. 4. We’re evil. -

Mailliw73 replied to Straw's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah. I’m not sure what Straw’s would specifically be, but an example of one is that after a full cycle of a player not posting in the thread, they’d die. I’m not opposed to it, Straw. So D6 and we haven’t caught a converted traitor yet. Rath wasn’t one, and he was one of my higher suspicions. I’m still looking at Jon, but I’m going to be re-evaluating my list and see what jumps out at me this time. -

Yeah, sadly, the holidays usually kill game activity for a while. 2015 holiday games were like this too when I was playing. They start out strong and then drop of quickly. Hopefully this one comes back in a day or two. -
