  1. Thanks! What do you mean by "googled something"?
  2. Guild Name: Mirrorshades Members: Tena (@Sherlock Holmes), Rik (@Grey Knight), @Thaidakar the Ghostblood Purpose: The Mirrorshades aim to understand the underlying forces of the universe in order to secure the safety of those they hold dear. Description: The Mirrorshades, formerly the Ghostbloods, are one of the Alleyverse’s oldest guilds and spent much of their operation under the control of leaders who were from other places in the universe, many of whom had little interest in the Alleyplanet except in the study and exploitation of the strange gods of that planet. Recently, most of these leaders have decided they have learned all they want to of the planet and cut their ties with the Ghostbloods who lived on the Alleyplanet and were determined to stay. The remaining members have decided to stay as a group, but have revised their intentions and leadership in order to better accomplish their personal goals, rather than the goals of the previous leaders. Tena, a longtime sergeant of the guild, has been given the role of leader by Althea, the previous leader, and has begun a new initiative to recruit. At this time, the guild is largely composed of covert operators and fighters, but has yet to establish a new identity, though they have a new name. Contact Method: The Mirrorshades can be contacted through appointment at their embassy in the Alleycity or their headquarters and training grounds several miles outside the city. Additionally, messages can be sent to their leader, Tena, who is currently managing their affairs. OOC, contact @Sherlock Holmes. Plans: As Mirrorshade membership is rather low for the time being, Tena is focusing the guild on small tasks. They will assist in rebuilding and reorganising the Alleycity as well as healing those who suffered significantly for their participation in the alternate timeline. Tena is somewhat reluctant to pursue that second goal, but feels she must, as one of the only major players who was unchanged.
  3. Day twenty-four: travelling merchant. CW: death, minor gore.
  4. My method for writing is to make a rough outline-- dealing with the general events of every fifty pages or so-- then writing from that, coming up with stuff along the way. My first book, Bloodbound, was planned to be five hundred pages long and I had a general idea of what I wanted for each section of fifty pages, though it ended up being six hundred and fifty pages long and different than the plan. I came up with a lot of stuff in the process of writing. When I finished, I reread the book and noted everything I liked, wrote detailed character sheets, made a chapter-by-chapter plan, and did research for worldbuilding. From there, I began to write the second draft with more ideas of what I wanted. I'm currently on that draft.
  5. Day twenty-two: pit stop. Wolf took thirty minutes, the rest took two hours, not including thumbnailing.
  6. I can make a character for TUBA if you'd like, right now I only have Tena.
  7. Day twenty: station platform. My poor heart, thank you so much!
  8. Day nineteen of Inktober: greenhouse. This one came out bad.
  9. I understand why it was implemented, but I love swearing, so it's inconvenient for me.
  10. Actually, I cussed and the Shard automatically changes any cuss words to cosmere-appropriate alternatives. I have been listening to the Stormlight Archive a lot, though.
  11. It's like in Dark Souls where the closest things you have to friends are people you briefly know as they pass you by in an empty world.
  12. For me I just went "yeah storm it" and went all out on the first one. Granted, the worldbuilding that's actually in the book is pretty limited compared to what exists canonically in the world.
  13. This is incredible, Gregorio. I really like the names and how varied the coverage is. I don't have many more thoughts, though, I don't have the time at the moment.
  14. I was thinking this myself, reading Grey Knight's stuff often confuses me quite a bit, and I've been reading it for four years. I don't know if anyone except him and Ark knows much of anything about it. Glad we're making a few more restrictions.
  15. Day seventeen: errand. Posted late on accident, made while listening to Words of Radiance.
  16. Tena is the new leader of the Ghostbloods and is going to be recruiting as soon as she gets back from her vacation, so she's looking for new people interested in murder, mischief, paperwork, or any combination of the three. Also, she's going to be looking to make connections with people from other guilds-- especially the leaders-- in order to solidify her own guild's position.
  17. I've been thinking about doing some SA art, I'll get back to you if I make any finished pieces.
  18. I look forward to seeing what you cook up. Also, I just noticed your status, and I find I must say I appreciate it.
