If there was a way that the Parshendi could survive with out their gem hearts, then it would be simple. Use a sonic weapon to shatter the gem hearts of every Parshendi on the planet. No gem hearts, no Fused, problem solved.

How would you go about removing the Fused from the equation? They are the Odium version of the Knights Radiant and have an additional benefit of being placed in new bodies every time they are kill, singer bodies specifically. That means they never have to relearn any abilities. Their downside is that they are slowly going crazy. I want to know if the 17th shard has any ideas/methods to remove the Fused from the equation. I think that they will eventually need to learn how either contain them, destroy them, or find a way to end the regeneration cycle.

Here are the ratings of of the current Cosmere books/Series. PG-Elantris and the Emperors Soul, Edge Dancer PG-13 Younger-Stormlight Archive, Mistborn Era 2, Silence Montain and the Forests of Hell, Mistborn short stories, Sixth of Dusk. PG-13 Older-Mistborn Era 1, Warbreaker I also think that what you read to kids and younger people depends on what you are comfortable with and with the child's maturity level. By the time they are in 7th and 8th grade, I think they can read most of the Cosmere except Warbreaker. That is a book that should be reserved for High Schoolers.

Given what he did in Mistborn, I think that either Kaladin, Shallan, Adolin, or Renarian will get the proverbial ax, maybe even most of them. I do not see Sezth, Dalinar, Jasnah, or Lift dying, nor any of the other secondary main cast such as Lopen, Rock, the rest of Bridge Four, and Navani. The person who I want to see gone is Shallan. Please no flames, but I am not a fan of her. I think it would be better to replace her parts with Jasnah. Jasnah is a mush more interesting character in my view. Also, I think she is one of the most likely to survive, just based on her abilities. I think the people most likely to go the way of the dodo are either Kaladin or Renarian. Kaladin will most likely go out in a blaze of glory fighting a hundred fused and maybe an Unmade. Renarian will most likely become corrupted by Odium and die faster than Loki at the hands of Thanos and the Black Order. The people that are have a 99% chance of surviving are Lift, Sezth, Lopen, Rock and Bridge Four, and Jasnah. Lift seems like she is impossible to kill. Sezth has already died once and I think he will not die again. Bridge Four is most likely to be the catalyst for Kaladin's death. Jasnah is also one of those people who just will not die, no matter what you try and do.

I think that the crystal is likely something from either First of the Sun, White Sand, or an Atium Crystal. The Hair pins as Hemalurgic spikes makes sense, especially if they are Kandra spikes because we know that the blessing spikes are small and thin.

I think this thread is getting a little of topic from what I was planning. There are already threads devoted to the discussion of the metallic mechanics and god metal alloys. My original plan was to have more of a ship/travel design thread. If you want to reference an metal or ability, please attach a potential function on a ship. The current and most widely discussed function I have seen is a cadmium bubble for time distortion, I would like to hear what the non-temporal metals could do.

I am thinking that there needs to be some sort of way to store investure from the Dor and move it around with you. Also, it is mentioned that the moon scepter can be used to translate symbols. Maybe that is a way to allow Elantrians to travel to different worlds (or countries for that matter).

I am assuming that Scadrial has a metallic planetary core. Using that and a nicrosil metal mind, I think it would be possible to lift a ship off the ground using steel pushes off the metallic core. I think this is possible because we see that mass, distance and investment are not really an issue if the metalborn is powerful enough or has a boost of investure.

Basically a metal tube with a bunch of medallions in it? You could even get around space suits with a combined Gold/Cadmium/Brass metal mind.

As most of us know, Mistborn era 4 will be a space opera. That leads me to believe that there will be some sort of non-cognitive realm travel involved. I what to know what you think the space travel will look like. Given what we saw in BoM, I think that launching ships using steel pushes is a viable option. But, I want to hear your thoughts. Lightsong needs to sing something from Weird Al, I am not sure what but it just fits. Dalinar should sing Safe and Sound from the hunger games. I have not heard a male rendition of it but I think it fits. Just for kicks, but the Kandra need to sing one of the genii songs from Aladdin.

I agree, Kelsier does seem to have a greater importance that is currently being hinted at. Maybe Preservation saw something (i.e. Odium, Ambition, something bigger) and needed someone that was a big enough pain to stick around and deal with it. Some one who was able to overcome fear, demigods, and the cognitive realm. I think there are bigger forces at work than the shards, as a great Jedi once said, "there's always a bigger fish."That is why Kelsier needs to stick around.

The ones I am working have similar concepts like connection. Most of the magic systems that I work with are either physics based or connection based. Some of my characters are similar to his, mainly because I have a hard time writing personalities that are not similar to people I know.

So I have been tossing around this idea for sometime. A species that has basically a mental social media/texting system. They live among humans and typically look human except if they decide to show the designs covering their bodies. If they use magic, the designs change. They have to have connections with their immediate family or they start to get sick/ go insane. Example, you kill one of them and the rest know automatically. lets say you pull an Deathstar on their planet and some where off world, they would feel it and most likely die. If they did not die, they would probably end up something like River Tam on a bad day, if not totally catatonic. I am thinking that the older the species gets, the more the designs cover their bodies. the designs, even if a human can see them, are not readily seen on paler skin tones. They look like very thin scars that are flush with the skin have a similar color and tone to pearls. They do not look like listener blotches, but are more like very fine tattoos. They can be used in touch telepathy and are sensitive when being shown. What do you think and how would you expand this?

16 shardblades, one for each allomantic metal. Each one grants the feruchemical and allomantic power of that metal. However, they do not have the same soul sucking ability of nightblood. Also, they can change shape like a rosharian shardblade but cannot be dismissed. So you would have to hide it as a small knife or something similar.

That might contribute to his resonance. There was a passage in shadows of self that described him doing something like that. It mentioned something about him being able to control speed I think.

I get the distinct idea that storing weight is similar to using a basic lashing. And by that I mean changing the gravitational attraction of an object to manipulate its weight.
