  1. What do you mean? I'm counting four Romantics, who were all likely Romantics with each other.
  2. Will we know if a house has fallen?
  3. Yes! This sounds amazing! I'll sign up as Lilly, who has dreams of grandeur but is most definitely not as good at anything as she thinks she is.
  4. There were a few people that didn't vote that turn, so it's also possible the other members of Elariel weren't active that turn. That might explain if Mraize is Elariel, he had hoped the other member(s) would jump in eventually to try to save Araris.
  5. I agree with Mac. Let's start lynch discussion. I'm placing a vote on Mraize. I find his voting pattern the last two cycles a bit odd (never voting on Araris, the Romantic of Elariel), which leads me to think he might have been the romantic in Venture Bort mentioned. It would also possibly narrow down which houses had 5 members (if I'm right in my guesses).
  6. Two houses would have 5 people. (22 players÷5 houses). The rest would have four. I think Venture might be one of those houses with five because of Bort's claim. When he claimed Venture, he also mentioned a romantic. It would seem odd to me to claim with only two members of a house left when that would mean another house would now know the entire composition of your team. I also suspect Lekal is one with five people because Walin died without an allomantic ability. I'm not as sure about this one, but I believe if the house had only four members Walin would likely have received an ability due to the rule about the house with least members getting a random allomantic ability.
  7. Dera pondered the latest news. Two more deaths. And it was possible three houses were close to falling entirely. This would destroy Luthadel before the war ended. _______________ One observation, which isn't worth much, one of the votes on CadCom must have been an Orator. These anonymous votes at night make things tricky.
  8. I've seen quite a lot of good art from Oathbringer, but as I've been going through the book again there's a particular scene that I wish someone would draw. If anyone has seen it, please let me know where. I'd love to see it and thank the artist. It's times like this I wish I'd spent more time learning art. Also, are there any scenes you'd like to see? (I apologise if I misspelled any words. I listen to the audiobooks, which means I don't always know the spelling of places/people.)
  9. Araris. However, I think it's important we also look into which roles are left. There are rioters still out there.
  10. Dera breathed a sigh of relief as she woke not to assassins, but to the light of day. Ash was drifting down outside as skaa workers trudged about trying to keep the streets clear enough for travel. One of her own skaa servants entered, delivering terrible news. Two people dead in one night. Lord Ruler, she thought. When will this end? When Luthadel is broken? Will the Lord Ruler ever step in to stop this?
  11. Dera sat in her carriage outside the grand home, debating if it was really worth it to go to yet another ball. Maybe Malcolm had the right idea. Maybe it would be better to run and hide from everyone. Dera steeled herself. She would go inside, and she would present a strong face. After entering, keeping a stoic expression and glaring at anyone who drew too near, she sat at a corner dining table and enjoyed the food. At least that couldn't betray her... unless it had been poisoned. Dera shook her head. That was ridiculous. It would be too obvious to poison someone here. The House leaders were much more fond of daggers in the night. It was what happened after the party she needed to worry about.
  12. I think the rules restrictions on Romantics we're only that they couldn't take action against their lover.
  13. Oh, I find you and Mraize highly suspicious after what happened in that PM, but I was trying to do the courteous thing and not call you both out when I'm not sure how things ended up with the votes. I had just heard about Itiah's supposed threat and got the impression Mraize had planned to change his vote. When the the threat came up again here, I simply pointed out I'd heard about it too.
  14. Sorry, I was just coming back to add the time zone. It was just after 11 a.m. PDT
  15. By 7 votes. Either that's two houses (as in the threat) or a ton of vote manipulation. I heard in my ball PM at 11 a.m. yesterday, with a suggestion it would be around 8 votes on the target, though they weren't named. That's pretty close to what ended up happening to Arinian.
  16. The number of votes on Snipexe and Arinian shows the likelihood of two houses working together, so it's not something just "dreamed". You could be a Romantic, and shutting down that link could end the coalition. While you may not be the most dangerous, even just the possibility of a house alliance is dangerous for the three houses not involved. So you can't blame people for being suspicious and going after the one person linked with the rumors.
  17. Araris isn't the first place I'd heard Itiah had been threatening a two-house lynch on someone. It was brought up in my ball PM. Based on the votes in two different nights, it's pretty clear there are at least two houses working together on something. That's more threatening to me than even a scanner. So, Walin can wait for now. My vote is on Itiah.
  18. Eliminating a scanner is more important to me than eliminating a possible defunct thug and a liar. Honestly, who of us hasn't lied during SE? But a scanner could cause more problems for anyone not in their house. Walin outed Aman as Mistborn, seemingly to seal the lynch. Who's to say they won't do the same to anyone else?
  19. Dera started in surprise as Malcolm sprinted away from her. She'd just wanted to say hello. "Goodbye, then," she called after him. More than a few people looked around at the commotion. Great, now she'd drawn attention to herself. That didn't bode well during a war. She smiled affably at the onlookers, and turned toward a dining table. All that could be done was to forget what happened and enjoy a little food.
  20. "Lord Malcolm," said Dera as she walked up to the obviously distressed man. "You look... uhm... are you alright?" He had every right to not be fine. People we're dropping like coins in a Misting battle. Seeing him made her realize she should probably worry about her life, not her business.
  21. Dera entered the ball and found it to be unusually quiet. She supposed it was because of the war. People were retreating into their own circles, unable to trust anyone. This did not bode well for her business. How long before the balls stopped entirely? She counted on the people buying new outfits for each event. Dera figured there was nothing that could be done, other than try to make some contacts and eat some dinner. The war was not likely going to end any time soon.
  22. On the off chance Walking is correct, I'm switching my vote from Eternum to Amanuensis
  23. Agreed. Elsecallers are the best. Glad to meet another of my order.
  24. So you're biased against Truthwatchers? (I'm actually not one, but the color works for Mental Health Month)
