  1. Scadrial also has my vote, though I do love Surgebinding. The metallic arts are so diverse, yet very structured. It's also a very unique magic system. Besides, who wouldn't want to be a Mistborn or even a twin born.
  2. I'll go if no one else wants to. This character acts as a guard.
  3. From what I've understood, Gavilar was part of the Sons of Honor. The his plan was to return the Radiants by returning the Voidbringers. I've always believed he was so focused on that goal that he'd pretty much forgotten the kingdom and his family. There also was an element that he didn't know he was going to die so soon. He and his brother worked together nearly seemlessly. He didn't need to worry that he didn't have direct control of armies. He had the loyalty of his brother and the other High Princes (however that may have come about). His goal was never to rule a Princedom, but a kingdom. The Alethkar system of rule was still very new. It hadn't been united like that since Sunbreaker (if I'm getting the name correctly). So it was easier to unite if they allowed High Princes to retain their own land. It's actually not too dissimilar from traditional monarch rules, where they'd give land and castles to Dukes, Earl's, etc. to govern. Gavilar, and Elokhar by default, still had control over the armies through control of the High Princes. Gavilar was able to exact that power, but Elokhar hadn't gained the same loyalty. He was thrust onto the throne earlier than any expected. As for the most important words, I always interpreted that as being the first oath of the Knights Radiant. Since restoring them was Gavilar's ultimate goal, it would make sense that he would see those as the most important words a man can say.
  4. This was an awesome introduction into SE. I'm glad I actually lived until the end, though reading through the docs that only happened because Elenion was converted and Rand kept protecting me. Thanks!
  5. I recently started getting into Pathfinder, because that's what my friend plays. She wanted to try out DMing, and I wanted to get into playing. We couldn't find anyone else that could join with our odd hours, but it worked out well. It helped me get my feet wet with RP gaming without the pressure of people taking it too seriously. The key from what I've heard is finding a group that you're familiar with, and that will help mentor you through the first bit. It's pretty easy to get the hang of though. There are also some different play styles. You have groups/DMs that lean heavily on rules. Others that are a little more freeform, and some that will bend rules as long as it's within the RP. Some people focus more on the characters and story, others on winning. It's best if you get a group that fits your style.
  6. Rayda stood there, next to Cane and facing Player4.exe. She was frozen. Cane's sword glinted in the light of the Aurora. She wanted to run. She wasn't programmed for fighting. She had no code that would guide her if this came to blows. The most she could do was stand back and let Cane use skills as a Knight. Player4.exe didn't look like it was going to go easily. But maybe there was some hope still. She might not be useless. She had to at least try. If she didn't, they would be doomed. Rayda may simply be code in some system for a brain in a jar to manipulate, but that existence was better than no existence at all. She wouldn't go out without a fight either.
  7. If the two-vote minimum isn't revoked, you use your action to cancel Randuir's vote, and I can't create a vote for you, then we're locked in a stalemate.
  8. Rayda stared at Player4.exe. He had seemed so trustworthy, but he'd betrayed them all. Working from the shadows, apparently trying to help. But he was working against them. She'd had enough of this. "Player4, you're finished." It sounded cheesy, but she wasn't good with words. _____________________ Well, that's it I suppose. Devotary, it's been fun.
  9. I wanted to finish it earlier, but stuff kept happening at work, delaying my writing.
  10. It's so quiet! The anticipation is killing me. So here's a little RP to pass the time. ______________ Rayda sat at her desk late into the night. Being a Steward in Alornia always kept her busy. But though she worked through stacks of paperwork, her mind was not focused on the task. Instead it was on what was to come that evening. They were so close to finally catching Melhi's minions. Through almost sheer luck, they'd tracked down the infamous Sophie. Cane, Hal, and herself had been working together, the only ones they could truly trust. But they'd lost Hal. They wouldn't lose another. She hoped. Would tonight be it? She hoped. This fear was not good for her positivity programming. She wanted to get back to normal. If possible.
  11. I'm up for this plan. I'll keep an eye one changes as best I can, but I'll be at work and it's bound to be a busy night.
  12. I agree with this plan, and was thinking anyways of making it a tie because I can't decide on who I think is elim. So Droughtbringer gets my vote.
  13. The votes stand at a tie Devotary(2): DroughtbringerDroughtbringer(1): Devotary, EternumEternum(1): Elandera, Randuir Edit: ninja'd!
  14. Sorry if it wasn't clear, that statement was referring to the votes on that cycle alone, not immunity overall. But you're right. Any of the three without roles could be immune, so it's not super helpful. We have to assume any of you could have been converted. I'm leaving my vote for now on Eternum.
  15. I decided to go back and look at the vote tallies to see who was possibly immune to conversion: This was the cycle where Elenion was likely converted. That would mean those possibly immune would have been Drought, Eternum, Randuir, Bard and Devotary. Of those left in the game, possibly immune include Drought, Eternum and myself. Does anyone know if the randomized immunity could have gone to Sophie or the villagers with roles?
  16. I think a Sophie!Drought vote on a Convert!Eternum would be a fairly safe vote, with so many of us voting for Crimsn. I'm still leaning very much toward Drought being Sophie. If that's the case, they've been playing a risky but successful voting strategy. Elenion voted for Drought, which would admittedly be very risky seeing as he was close to being lynched. But if that lynch had gone through, Elenion would have been able to keep working as a convert without suspicion because everyone would see he helped lynch Sophie. Honestly, no one seems to be a good Sophie candidate, but Eternum seemed to be too inactive and Devotary too helpful with strategies to counter Sophie at the start. But Devotary has good reasoning regarding lynching the convert first. So with a Sophie!Drought, I'm leaning towards Eternum as convert.
  17. Thanks Rand! I expected to die. I don't have time right now to do much (since I'm on a short stop while driving several hours home), but I'll think about the next option and vote tomorrow.
  18. It could have been. Len did defend Drought later, but never changed his vote. Granted, by that time it was starting to shift toward Len.
  19. My reasoninging for a Crimsn lynch is mostly by process of elimination. Devotary is the least likely to be Sophie based on their efforts to spur discussion and offer suggestions to protect village and role-holders. I'm still unsure about Eternum, and consider them a likely convert, but unlikely Sophie. I don't recall them posting at all the first day (and from what I understand, that's frowned upon as an elim). I'd rather take out Sophie this turn than a convert. Drought is second on my list for likely Sophie. Of Drought, Eternum and Crimsn, they seem to be most active. But they've also done little to counter lynch efforts against them (which has happened pretty much every round). That could be Sophie wanting to avoid drawing too much attention. But Elenion, a confirmed Melhi bot, had his vote on Drought. I can't see that being a good idea when Drought had been under serious threat until the round was extended. Crimsn's votes are what make me suspicious of them. While it could be that they weren't able to spend a lot of time reading through the thread before voting, their votes on the first two cycles were last minute. The first was very strange, and made most discount Crimsn as being Sophie. It was either an honest mistake, or a very crafty elim move. I'm now leaning towards the latter.
  20. Conversion is the last action in the order, so Elenion couldn't have been converted right before he died. I'll place my vote on Crimsn.
  21. @randuir, I've played Mafia before several years ago (I'm talking at least 5), and never on a forum. It's a whole new beast though, because most of my ability to read people in Mafia is based on body language, which is impossible here.
